I did not see you take out and discard the judder plate and seat...that would explain the problems. the kit does not come with directions. but a pdf file at Dennis kirk has it and clearly says to discard the 2 and do not re-use
Very interested on how this turns out. I hv a hydraulic clutch on my ultra also. I wouldnt think that hydraulic clutch would hv thinner plates. I would think it just grabs different as they wear out. Did u rebleed the fluid?
I tried to install this kit last week. The instructions said to not reuse ANY of the existing discs or judder springs. I haven’t been able to properly adjust my clutch since then. Have you had any luck with Dennis Kirk? My bikes an 08 road king this kit still doesn’t work
Dennis Kirk said they would refund me as soon as they received the incorrect clutch back. They sent me a paid shipping label. That said I have to buy the new one, pull and replace the former new one the. Get refunded. Kinda a bummer financially but I get it
Yogi we have the same bike in this video. Could you give me some advice on how to adjust the lever. It is very short to engage i want to extend the release of the pedal some before it engages
@YogisCycleService ok thank you I'll do a flush on it. It's very very short release pulling out. No slippage holds itself really good in gear just too short of a release for my preference
@@ryanadkins1444 definitely much different then a cable clutch for sure. It’s supposed to be self adjusting so I haven’t found a way to adjust it yet but maybe someone with more experience can chime in. Bout the best thing is a flush like we said and see if that helps some especially if the fluid is very 2 years old. I believe the service manual calls for a flush every 2 years. It’s dot4 so it does take on moisture and that can have an effect on it.
Very easy thanks 😊

Tough to find parts anywhere!!! Great video!
Yeah just stinks when it’s a critical part
@@YogisCycleService I'm sure. Hopefully you've gotten what you need by now, and if not soon. If you're ever in Huntersville, stop by!
@@bobrose3298 parts due here early next week.
@@YogisCycleService oh good. That's not too bad.
@@bobrose3298 yeah luckily found on eBay. Everyone else says sold out till September. Crazy
No spring plate? I always replace the spring with clutch plates.
Yeah I was going to but I didn’t get one. Since I have to do it again maybe I will just go ahead and order a new one also
Did you put the stock skinny one back in?

Yes i bled it a few months ago

The kit didn’t fit so I found a Barnett that I am sure does on eBay. It’s supposed to arrive Saturday. I ordered a new spring also

@@YogisCycleService my problem is the same as yours though. It says it fits my bike but starting to think it doesn’t haha
@@paintballsteve55 good luck, wish I could be of more help
How many miles did your bike have before you replaced it with a new one?
About 84,000 give or take 1,000 miles
@@YogisCycleService that's pretty good I thought you were going to say 50 to 60k miles

The hydraulic clutch to my knowledge is not adjustable. Sometimes changing the fluid may help with that some
