Hydrofoil surfing with Sam Light at Hayling Island, UK.
That looks like the most fun you can have in zero wind conditions.Great video Sam!
Excellent video ✌🏽 Simply love to see others having a great session!
Thanks for sharing the stoke, rock on, Sam 🤘🏽
Greetings,
FlyingFlo
Cheers mate! Likewise✌🏽
Come on Sam.. Such great feeling. Nice!
I think cbk foil sales just went through the roof! Great conditions for it, and your best video yet 🤙
haha thanks! Yea cbk needs to start selling zap cats as well 😂
Great Vid guys!!!
@Sam Light Thank you for the share oh look you got another Subscriber lol nice video brother
looks cold! never seen someone surf with a jacket!
Nice to See you back on the water! The ribs fully healed? Did you do something to speed up the healing process?
Thanks, it felt good to get wet again! No magic healing unfortunately, they were sore after this, it’s been a month, hoping to kite in a few weeks
Hey Sam, your description links seem to be broken. Awesome vid
Thanks for letting me know
Has the Kitesurf Armada just got a fun "no wind" alternative?
If we get waves!
Amazing. Need to get me one but not sure where round here (South Wales) would be good. Any tips on a foil board to get started in mellow waves with no boat? Been shortboarding for 20 years but fancy a new challenge. I ride a shortboard with 32 litres of volume but not a clue how that might translate to a foil board. Cheers!!
Awesome video, looks like it is much fun, here in Portugal it is really hard to find long non breaking waves like that . Do you have an uploading schedule or is it somewhat random?
Thanks, yea we don't get proper waves here like you get in Portugal. I was doing one video every weekend but the last few weeks I have been doing two each week randomly
Awesome! Is learning foiling on a short board doable for a foiling beginner? Compared to a longer one?
Yes. Take me for example, after many crashes I can stay on foil. Yiu better off with high volume when learning. Good luck!
Sam! Whats the smallest boat/ engine I could foil behind do you think?
Hi, awesome video! May i ask which wetsuit model do you wear?
hey, thanks! I use O'Neill wetsuits
@@SamLight yes, i saw that... i meant which model is it? I like the big logo on the forearm but cannot find this on the oneill website...
Is the hydrofoil board that u use for kiting and surfing? Or would it not work without a pull in
The surf foil is much bigger than my kite foil, the kite foil worked great towing in on bigger/breaking waves, the surf foil was better for smaller waves or swell
Sam Light so same board but different “fin/foil”
Nice
Is it the same setup you use for foilkiting?
I tried both my surf wing and my kite wing, you can use your kite wing in bigger waves, links to both are in the description
What brand and size foils are you using
Slingshot and Ride Engine. Links to the exact foils are in the description
You linked to the ghost whisper 101 foil, are you sure that is the one you have ? Your wing looks larger like a 91
I used the GW 101 with the 590 for one session in bigger waves, it was awesome but hard being that high out the water. I used the surf wing mostly
Hey Sam, how is the Micro for boosting? Is it sturdy enough for the hard landings?
Hey, yes I believe it can withstand big jumps
@@SamLight awesome thanks
way too crowded haha
“1000 metres
Tow-in nonsense now with foils...
As if we hadn’t enough (noise-)pollution with boats or jetskis. What good is it if you need a boat to even get on these waves? Whack.
there was no body out there and it was the only way to ride these waves?
@@SamLight i saw a video of a beach start using a long SUP as a "dock". I dont think anyones tried to anchor one out there and dock start off of it.
@@tormarquis potentially yes but it would be hard, there is always a lot of tide running at this spot
@@SamLight check out how this guy runs on his sup and jumps on his foil .....ruclips.net/video/g6MicHKIDK4/видео.html
