I think her mother in law, the old king and the king's sister and her corrupt husband, can sense that as a journalist, she is suspicious of all of them and she doesn't want her daughters polluted by their bad reputations.

I have always felt that becoming a King or Queen places you in a job that is difficult and a job that you can't resign from. It is like becoming a pastor's daughter or son in the USA. You are expected to have perfect behavior but you are an imperfect person. As such it is an impossible job to do perfectly. I am sure that many a royal has gone home to notice minute mistakes on the television after their visit.

I think only Spaniards can judge her. Anyway, I personally don't get her at all; she seems to be more a journalist (whom she us) than the queen. I don't feel the magic of the monarchy. And it has nothing to do with her being commoner. Queen Silvia of Sweden is a commoner, and yet the whole mystique is there. Of course it's only my little though 😊❤

Por qué la Reina Silvia no es de España, seguro que simlo fuera la verías mal, vamos , seguro, no hay punto de comparación, Silvia es un estatus viviente y Letizia es una persona que ha conseguido adaptase y hacer ver que es inteligente y que no es un muñeco ha educado muy bien a sus hijas y solo ha hecho modernizar a la monarquía, haciendo de la familia real una familia normal con su cariño y hasta sus desavenencias...pero con una sencillez y humildad como responsabilidad.
