This was a most interesting interview. I've never heard one where royals were asked very personal questions about their lives and interests in such a casual setting and in such a candid way. I always had quite a negative opinion about Chris O'Neill, that as a member of the Swedish Royal Family, he ought to be more involved, that he was just a "golddigger" who used his connections for personal gain. However, this interview completely changed my opinion about him in a very positive way. He came across as a regular guy (with a great sense of humour) who had his own life to lead, that he was going to lead it on his own terms, and that his wife just happenend to be a Princess of Sweden - and a very beautiful one at that! Good luck to both of them and to heir family!
Adele looks really sweet and humble despite her enormous fame. I don't know if she is humbled by sitting next to a princess, but she certainly comes across as so sweet and personable, a down-to-earth girl.
She is, you can tell when she's being interviewed in this show. She seems so relaxed and comfortable and down to earth and jokes around with the host, she's just the sweetest
Both Swedish princesses have chossen well, they seem very happily married. Victoria's husband is also such a level headed sweet kind of guy, he gave the sweetest speech at their wedding banquet.
@Catharina, Sweden but now she clearly doesn't do that any more. i don't think she had any intention of becoming a princess when she was in that stage. she does so much for society now that she's a princess.
@Catharina, Sweden there's a big difference between liking to party/being a glamor model (NOT porn) and stealing/forging. idk the culture in your country, but stealing/forging signatures will get you thrown in jail in my state in the US. She only modeled to try to earn money for her college education. She stopped as soon as she got enough to fulfill her goals.
@Catharina, Sweden yes she does have college education, she studied in both NY and Stockholm. and she worked as a yoga instructor (got certified too) for a while before forming project playground. She moved to NY in 2005 and started working in children's rights or something like that.
Rosie Muffins and Catharina Sweden, do either of you have any proof that what you're saying is true? If not, this is not a valid argument. Just accept that you two just have different opinions of this Princess Sophia lady and leave it at that. Based on what I read, neither of you are going to change the other's opinion. Agree to disagree. I don't know enough on her or her family to form a valid opinion or side with either of you.
+dalangie Here in America, we hear about Trump, Trump & Trump. Oh, and the English royals from time to time. We almost NEVER hear about anything happening in Scandinavia. It's too bad, too. I imagine that you have a lot less Trumps in Sweden. That would be a nice change for us.
Adele & Oliver are British and that's how they behave. Super conservative and afraid to speak up, just in case they may say something wrong & The Queen won't approve.
Fabulous interview! Princess Madeleine is always so beautiful and sweet, but the most interesting was to see and hear Chris O'Neill. What a man and caring, protective husband. He radiates natural, relaxed strength, he doesn't have to prove anything, - it's so pleasant and great to see someone with qualities of that kind. His twinkling eyes on his wife is just adorable and so charming. A lovely couple! They seem so happy and totally made for each other.
Chris was really in love with Madeleine specially the way she always Look his wife in her eyes!! she is a very beautiful Princess and Chris is also a very good looking guy too. these couples has the same chemistry. wish them all the best in life!
1: Just loved the both of them, 2: Adele's small comments through out the interview are just hilarious. hahah 3: Loved the way Jamie Oliver nodded when chris talked about cooking. hahahahahhaha omg
+fredrika27 she was joking about the British school system, registering you child for a school place, if you want to get your child into a school near where you live, do it before there born, that way you know their going to get a place, children start school at 4 in the UK,
My mother is from Sweden and I grew up looking through her Swedish magazines that she would receive in the mail from her sister who still lives in Sweden. I remember seeing the marriage of the King and Queen Silvia, their children's births and now I get to see them with their children. It was fun to get to know a little more about Chris and Madeline through this interview. They seem very humble and sweet. You can tell that they love one another very much. Very refreshing.
i was very lucky to meet princess madeleine and prince carl of sweden last year in london and they are so warm and friendly and down to earth they are a credit to the swedish royal family.
I’ve only ever seen him in pictures but now I understand why she married him! He’s sexy, witty and smart. Madeleine will always be my favorite princess.
I think it's amazing how you sort of get to know them as a couple. And God how much Chris loves his wife! They look like such an incredible team.True love for sure!
I have never thought bad about Chris O'Neill, he is educated and you can tell he's supportive of his wife and children. He stuck to his financier job even though he could've taken advantage of the family income. I didn't know till now, how they met and I thought it was very romantic that he was the one who KNEW. He is sweet and sensitive, so he is almost the perfect man.
The family's "income" is paid for by the taxpayers of Sweden just like America's politicans. He didn't want to give up his way of life. She isn't a "royal" subject since she has left her country; I don't think she is a "princess" anymore because you have to work and earn your title. Her sister Victoria is a "Royal Crown Princess" meaning she will become the Queen when her Father dies or he steps down.
Lovely, lovely couple. So glad they did this interview! Really love how open and down to earth they are - and how adorable they are together. (Those in the press/media who always seem on a mission to bring them down can now suck it! Find new (deserving) targets now 😛 )
This is the amazing thing about Scandinavia. If one person in a talkshow does not speak the language they all switch to English and they all speak English fluently. In Germany the interview would be dubbed or people attempt to speak English and fail - either because they can't speak English propperly or they like to talk in a strong accent.
I tried to watch an interview with the actors that played Pippi, Tommy and Annika and I had to stop watching because it was just an annoying blend of English and German and people speaking German but switching to English.
People think that as English is a germanic language but in my experience of learning german and swedish- german grammar is much harder, but swedish is grammar is similar or the same or simple like English. We all share things as a family group of languages but over all i can speak more swedish after a year than i did after a year of german. People always talk of the anglo saxon connection but forget the norse influence for 300 years after the saxons, plus “English” came from Angeln right on the border of Denmark and Germany.
Haha, it is rather scary just how cosmopolitan Scandinavians are and the Dutch, as well! In Holland EVERYONE speaks at least FIVE languages, and it is a bit disgusting, actually.
i think the fact that Chris refused a royal title when the king offered him one shows that he is TRULY in this marriage for Madeleine the person rather than Madeleine the princess. (just to be clear, i don't hold it against the spouses of her siblings that they accepted titles. for Sofia, wives take their husband's titles so that was automatic when she married Carl Philip. Daniel's title had to be created, but he WILL one day be married to the queen, so being a prince while married to the crown princess is appropriate.)
I thought the same thing as well, especially since a lot of people considered Chris a rebound after Madeleine's break up with Jonas. I thought it was ridiculous. They were together for years & got engaged & he cheated on her. But the American blue collar prince charming turned down a title & state allowance. That shows how he feels & the fact that his children have titles show he isn't obsessed with status, unlike some royal spouses.
He refused a title as he didn't want to be a member of the Swedish royal family which would mean taking Swedish nationality. He doesn't perform any royal duties and remains a private citizen so he can continue his career in finace.
Chris didnt want to be a swedish citizen, he dont want to work as a royal, as his wife he only want privileges. He uses royal privileges when he is in Sweden, which he shouldnt.I think the Swedish king are tooo generous with Prince and princess titles.Over the past 10 years the Swedish royal Households has extended itself with 9 ! ! new Princes and princesses.Madeleine should give up her title, she works very little and has always Done little for her title.A year has 365 days,Madeleine has been on 20-30 royal appointments each year !!!!!
I always thought, Chris O ' Neill was arrogant and snobbish, but this Show with him changed my Opinion. Obviously, I was wrong about him and he seems to be a funny, friendly and smart Person, a good Husband and great Father. I' m so happy for Madeleine, she's a lucky girl to have him
I wonder if Princess Madeleine have a security guard? in Sweden the SÄPO secure and protect the Royal Family. Now she lives in England so maybe she don't have the Swedish secret service protection. I think because she is still a Princess she should have the Swedish secret service protection.
She still have the Royal power and if she says something is like an official statement of the Kingdom of Sweden so she have to be very careful what she is saying 😅😂
Madeleines english is (at least for an Austrian ear like mine ;-)) so excellent. Of course she was some years in London and New York, but I think it's the scandinavian school system that works so much better than in Austria or Germany. In Switzerland they are also very good, because they are used to watch movies in english, that helps a lot. But beyond all of this, she and her husband seem to be very nice persons!
You usually don't realize how much media is lying until you yourself come into focus. Chris turned out to be a completely different person than what has been written about him.
Yep. They live in London and NY. Only visit Sweden from time to time. The Swedish press or ppl doesn't go all crazy about it. Like the press in UK about Harry and Megan.
What an absolutely charming couple. Such very special, lovely people! I was somewhat amazed they could understand either of the very strong 'London' accents...
Didn’t Madeleine essentially run away to NYC after a failed engagement with her ex Jonas? It came out he cheated on her I thought and she was heartbroken and wanted to get away from the Swedish press. And then in NYC not long after she met Chris. I always liked him for her. I saw some footage of their wedding and he was smiling so wide and so happy to be marrying her.
Madeleine is so much natural, she shows much emotions and is more down to earth than british royals. She is lovely woman and more beautifull than any oher royal. That's why other roal marriages last forever than those of british royals.
What a lovely candid and open chat, with such a very down to earth couple, Crown Princess Madeleine is such a charming lady who puts one at ease by her openness and warmth that she radiates just like her mother the queen. By the way i am a big fan of Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, but that does not mean that the rest are excluded, far from it,i think that the Scandinavian Royals are very open and charming, may i also say, i think the Norwegian royal family are very nice and charming and down to earth people as well, and that comes a cross when i have heard the Crown Prince of Norway speak about his and his families role in Norway, may i also say this, that oppenes is very evident amongst all the Royal Houses of Scandinavian.
Haha, did you see Madeleines gesture at maybe min 26:11. She shows her husband, that he should do his hair. However people think about it, for me it is sweet.
I like this interview + all the interactions between the couple and the others on the show !! And here we can see : Madeline & Chris aren't arrogant at all !!! 👏 😍 😉
Refreshing to see how this European princess who left royal life, has adapted to “common life” so easily without the local press making their lives a drama, and without her family trying to punish her for choosing love over royals.
I hear O'Neil talking English , and Jaimie and I get to know easily what they say, then Adele starts and ....no chance, have to replay and replay her part again and again till I get it. She speaks so fast!
Princess Madeleine left Sweden to live with her husband a British American in Florida so some Royals do embark on different journeys but still remain connected to their royal heritage without feeling like they’ve done something wrong!
Started subscribing. Watched 3 videos in a row. Very interesting questions, lovely atmosphere and unexpected to see a casual royal interview. Very open, strong and warm entertainment. First interview I have seen with Her Royal Highness. Loved it. Love from Denmark.
I'm not entirely sure Graham would be the best interviewer for the princess. She is shy, so it is probably a lot less pressure to be on this show, and he is not so slick and so constantly funny.
Princess, you say that you are not a good housekeeper. I learned a long time ago that if I do my personal best at whatever I'm doing, it's good! You're doing a great job!
The host should have engaged the other guests in the conversation, too. They look so sidelined during this interview. See Graham Norton. That's how a show with multiple guests is done.
what a great interview and a stunning couple - Madeleine is down to earth and Chris is handsome and quite sexy - And I loved Adele's comments and even Jamie''s comment about cooking - good to watch
The Swedes royals seem relax to appear in entertainment programs. I don’t seem to see this in English royalty. I’ve seen one program that Norway crown prince and Princess Ingrid attended an entertainment program and were relaxed.
The scandanavian kingdoms aren't called "Bicycle Royals" for nothing . Norway, Netherlands, Denmark, and Sweden monarchies are much more relaxed than the U.K monarchy. Although with the younger generations taking on more responsibility I suspect the it will become more relaxed like the above mentioned ones.
I remember when I was a little girl I used to say to my dad "why isn't Madeleine the crown princess, she looks so much more like a princess and is so pretty why didn't they chose her??" and my dad said "that's not how it works sweetie, the first born is the first to the thrown". This is somehow both funny and a bit "sad" that I thought that way. I still think that Madeleine looks like a beautiful princess but Victoria is beautiful too in her way and she seems to have a heart of gold wich is important in her position 😊❤
I Have followed them from their engagement, firstly they are a handsome couple. Also madeleine had a sad let down with a man she was to marry. She cancelled went to USA to get away from scandal trash rags. It was all very sad for her . Fortunately she met the man she was meant to meet . He often looks bored at varied functions. Quite simply because he is .. A lot of the endless, celebrations are very "Bon Enfant" and an hour of this type of function, puts to sleep more than one , Henrik of Denmark , Frederik of Denmark, and they understand the language. King Harald of Norway and others. This is the 3 time i've watched ' Skavlan' with them and it is evident Chris is an intelligent Educated cultivated witty man. They go well together .
I feel that Chris just doesn’t want to be fake. Probably the reason why he jokes a lot in this interview, to break the ice. He seems to be an amazing guy for her after all the heartbreak she went through. 👏 👏
what a lovely couple and the way they're looking at each other is just heart mealting.

Chris O`Neill is a really great guy. I love his sense of humor and his honesty. What you see is what you get! That`s great!
Se ve un tipo tranquilo ..normal y de muy buen sentido del humor..les deseo lo mejor a los dos..Princesa Madeleine es encantadora
I love the way Chris looks at Madeleine, they are very connected. Real love for sure.
I also want to have such love and I think you are the right girl for this because you recognized this love.....

This was such a lovely interview. Thank you for sharing!
I love the Scandanavian princesses. So regal, smart, and beautiful.
Adele should have been the interviewer! :)
tihk89 yesss 👑
Just turned into this and I do have to laugh Adele look like she’s ready to sleep with boredom.
Chris seems to have a lot of really good qualities, a great guy.
great interview!! It's nice to see two people in love!!!
I saw some footage of their wedding and he was smiling so wide and so happy to be marrying her.
what a wonderful couple !!!! down to earth &loving.....and Adele and Jamie are great too
They’re wearing their kids bracelets 😍 love how modern they live and not just following all the conservative rules ☺️
she is very sweet and humble and human, I love that. both of them.
Madeleine is so much natural, she shows much emotions and is more down to earth than british royals. She is lovely woman and more beautifull than any oher royal. That's why other roal marriages last forever than those of british royals.
The Swedish King and Queen have three kids who've made really happy marriages. They must have parented differently to the Brits! 🤦♀️😭😭
princess Madeleine resembles Linda Gray from Dallas show . She's very beautiful and charismatic, and so is Adele
What a lovely candid and open chat, with such a very down to earth couple,
Crown Princess Madeleine is such a charming lady who puts one at ease by
her openness and warmth that she radiates just like her mother the queen.
By the way i am a big fan of Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, but that does
not mean that the rest are excluded, far from it,i think that the Scandinavian
Royals are very open and charming, may i also say, i think the Norwegian royal
family are very nice and charming and down to earth people as well, and that
comes a cross when i have heard the Crown Prince of Norway speak about his
and his families role in Norway, may i also say this, that oppenes is very evident
amongst all the Royal Houses of Scandinavian.
Princess Madeleine's sister, Victoria, is Sweden's Crown Princess.
Haha, did you see Madeleines gesture at maybe min 26:11. She shows her husband, that he should do his hair. However people think about it, for me it is sweet.
When he winks @ her too earlier!
I like this interview + all the interactions between the couple and the others on the show !! And here we can see : Madeline & Chris aren't arrogant at all !!! 👏 😍 😉
Chris O'Neill has such an American Swag about him. He seems so cool and collected and extremely confident man. He's Americanized. totally.
He is American.
Not all American...look him up.
He's a blend of many nationalities. Irish, German, American, English
Stina Palm You forgot Italian. Chris's father's mother was from Sicily.
He seems rich n posh yes thats swag then
This interview was such a delight to watch! 👍🏾👍🏾
The way he looks at her is amazing
They are so adorable!!
He's very confident, actually they both are. He looks a bit like Gerard Butler. These royals are so interesting and not at all stuffy.
This is the first time that i see Adele is a quiet person !! Just hilarious hahaha
Adele is so gorgeous and her accent is just... so British! I love it!
What a beautiful couple, they were made for each other.
''if women would rule the world- the world would be in a better place today''! loved that thought! :))))
there would be no wars, just a bunch of countries not talking to each other ;)
No wars less talking is fine with me.
simoncederholm perhaps the solution to globalization
pretty woman .
My Son has the same opinion. An artist graphique. Mostly high brow think tank universities.
Refreshing to see how this European princess who left royal life, has adapted to “common life” so easily without the local press making their lives a drama, and without her family trying to punish her for choosing love over royals.
Chris looks always like he is recovering from a hard night out with the guys! Hangover all the time
He is probably just tired from chasing their kidos
And that's so kool, also remember he works long hours
I hear O'Neil talking English , and Jaimie and I get to know easily what they say, then Adele starts and ....no chance, have to replay and replay her part again and again till I get it. She speaks so fast!
They are most becoming. They are very fluent in both [1] British English and [2] American English. Princess Madeleine is very admirable and eloquent.
Princess Madeleine left Sweden to live with her husband a British American in Florida so some Royals do embark on different journeys but still remain connected to their royal heritage without feeling like they’ve done something wrong!
Wow! Are they really in FL?
I am sure they did it in a classy way - did they do National interviews trashing their family ? I doubt it.
Excellent guests! I was enjoying watching this. Ongoing conversation, everyone down to Earth. Very nice.. no words.
Started subscribing. Watched 3 videos in a row. Very interesting questions, lovely atmosphere and unexpected to see a casual royal interview. Very open, strong and warm entertainment. First interview I have seen with Her Royal Highness. Loved it.
Love from Denmark.
If this would have been hosted by Graham Norton, it would have been pure perfection! Damn, these are some perfect guests!
I'm not entirely sure Graham would be the best interviewer for the princess. She is shy, so it is probably a lot less pressure to be on this show, and he is not so slick and so constantly funny.
Medeleine husband his such a lovely guy he married her because of what she is not because she has a title princess ... nice 👍
you mean "WHO she is"
They seem like a genuinely lovely couple.
Princess, you say that you are not a good housekeeper. I learned a long time ago that if I do my personal best at whatever I'm doing, it's good! You're doing a great job!
And now they have 3 beautiful children!! Baby Adrienne was born just a few days ago
Baby Adrienne is so beautiful! all 3 of their kids are so lucky!
The host should have engaged the other guests in the conversation, too. They look so sidelined during this interview. See Graham Norton. That's how a show with multiple guests is done.
+Cikgu Hotel That's true! :)
+Cikgu Hotel to be fair, if you were having these royal figures on your show & the chance to have an informal chat, you might focus more on them too.
i agree
+Cikgu Hotel To be fair, Adele was too busy loving the love between them to talk much lol
+sprinklefriend Only one of them is royal.
polite conversation. no American to dominate the situation
what a great interview and a stunning couple - Madeleine is down to earth and Chris is handsome and quite sexy - And I loved Adele's comments and even Jamie''s comment about cooking - good to watch
Because not everyone loves to be in the limelight and in front of scripted media industry
She is a sweet princess, not stuck up, and very much in love with her handsome "civilian" hubby.💖👑🎩💍👒
26:11 a good wife watches out for you :)
Sheis so beautiful...looks just like her Mom and he is very handsome...great couple.
Oh I love these couples! they are just Fantastic .
Oh my god they are so gorgeous! :) *-*
Princess Madeline, forever young and beautiful.
