    Hi, can you explain what do you mean by frying the paste until the oil separates? This will be my first attempt this weekend

      When you initially fry the spice paste with the oil, the paste will absorb all of it. After sometime you will notice the oil starts to separate from the paste.

    Wow! That's a great one. Thanks for sharing, Eddie. But have always wondered why it's called Babi Pongteh? I know what babi is (LOL) but pongteh - what word is it and what does it mean? Please enlighten!
