I joined Star Citizen a year ago and had to take a break, now I've been obsessing over it again from the sudden pump of SC content on YT. Truly amazing, keep up the great work!
Exactly the same for me. I believe I started playing in late 2020. The 30K's were so frequent as well as the actual game-breaking bugs that I had to put it down. Cut to now and I am blown away by the progress. So much content has been added and optimization achieved that I can't put it down. I have gone several days without server crashes. It is getting there!
The Data transmission thing is a little tablet attached to some electronics. It has several spawn possibilities, can be on the panels at the airlocks (where you entered), panel in engine room garage, panel in forward hangar or bridge
@@Nauaudis4 And it can be in the conference room section of the bar attached to the dividing wall between that section and the small bar area behind it.
Once reputation is further developed and pirate NPCs actually scan for armor maybe, but until then any kind of armor is just armor. If you want to argue that friends might shoot you during an FPS mission against pirates, that makes not much sense either, because first of all you're probably moving in together anyway in order to provide cover fire, and secondly you'll probably be in the same party meaning that you all have party markers on you.
@@animusnocturnus7131 no ones arguing either of those. He was referring to random players roaming about. I know I am much more likely to KoS someone wearing pirate armor.
@@chanman1197 - happened to me the other day, doing my 1st bunker delivery mish got mistaken for MT Sec by 2 players after i'd nabbed some free gear, lol
You were using the Gladius, which received its gold standard from CIG a while back. That means everything in it is physicalised, including inventory. If you face the nose of your ship, the inventory access panel should be on the left side right before the wings. Press it, open the ship's inventory (it's big enough for a couple of armor suits and some weapons), dump everything even your helmet and undersuit (you won't choke since the ship has life support on), then run back and equip everything. The heavy armor on pirates can take 2 weapons on the back, so it's easier to transport weapons to your ship
Also you can climb down to the hanger area. One of the escape pod hall ways has a door to a ladder leading to the engine room from there there’s a door the leads to a hall way taking you to the hanger
Olli, there are around 9 potential spawn locations for the transmitter. Cargo hanger rear Each bedroom (including the ones by the bar) The back section of the bar on the one-way glass panel The medical bay by the medbed The foot of the captains seat on the bridge And the airlock on either side There are also two additional elevators under the grand staircase that lead down to engineering, but you should select the “crew deck” level. These elevators are right next to the escape rafts.
My method, the objectively correct one, is to land in the air hangar, check medbay and move to crew elevator, check bedrooms and then bridge, airlocks, and finally if it’s on none of those, it’s probably in the bar by the guys or the cargo hangar. You CAN check the bridge and bar before the timer starts by flying your ship up to the windows or using EVA. Then kill.
When you turned on the lights, you also turned on the shield. That's why you couldn't shoot into the hangar. You should have turned off the shields with O. And you hit landing gear after your gear was already down, so you retracted your landing gear.
My favourite way of doing this mission is: getting out of my ship in 0G and sniping down at the people in the hangar and then land there, rather than going through the docking port.
5:50 oh i just realized why you never strafe up/down left/right in combat... You're on HOTAS, so you dont have any easy strafe control. That makes sense. Its also why 2 sticks are much much better for SC, strafing is almost more important than throttle control. Think of it like FPS combat, if you could ONLY move forward and backwards (using W and S) on foot, you'd be so gimped, no jumping, no crouching behind cover, no sidestrafing. Thats how important it is in SC's space combat as well. Dont wanna rag on your setup but, like you'll have absolutely zero chance in any pvp space combat. Keyboard and mouse would be better due to having access to all axis of movement. Perhaps you have a thumb-joystick you could bind to strafe? And definetly need reverse on your throttle.
The data transmission can be in any of the bedrooms, both ground floor, floor 1 and the captains bedroom, the bridge, med room, hanger on the back wall or the bar on the 2nd floor as you enter the main lobby. Its a little red and white cable/box with a screen attached to the ship panels. Go up to it and with interaction menu it'll tell you to stop it on the screen.
I love how difficult you can do things for yourself. I do the same all the time and the game does not hold your hand. :D Btw. there are like 5 other elevators you can use to get down to the hangar level. There is one in the bar, two in the spa and two at each escape pods. And as someone else already mentioned it, at the escape pods there is a ladder you can also use to get down there. You can use the medbay to set as a respawn point if you want some extra insurance. I would say your playstyle warrants it but your results speak for themselves. :D And what do you mean there is no going backwards? What did you do with the S key on your keyboard? :p
Olli, try doing this : buy 2 pembroke armor, store it in a ship and fly out from a spaceport where you are no longer in an armistic zone, then hit backspace to spawn in the spaceport again, then call out another ship (not the ship you just left out) and go to it and blew it up, then EVA and u should have a big create that you can store stuff in it, i just saw this in a video but not yet tryed it out
For the 890J mission, taking a ship like the Avenger, 300 series, 400i or Cutlass is a good idea, because they have the interior and cargo capacity to allow you to gather loot while you clear out the enemies. You should also always take the 'call to arms' mission, so you get a bounty for each baddie you kill. Something like a Pisces will work too, assuming you are a good enough pilot to kill the Cutlasses with it. As for the data transmitter, it has several locations it can spawn, including the passenger cabins and the bar area. It gives you a substantial boost to your mission payout if you stop it in time.
first time i did this mission solo, i cleared all but one, spent 40 mins running around the ship looking for the last guy, finally gave up and headed back to my ship via the airlock i came in and low and behold, the last guy had eva'd out of the ship...so i killed him, got paid then just before i eva'd back to my ship some douche came outta QT and smoked my ship and then took off. lol
go into flight movement tab in your keybinds for ur hotas, assign a button on the swap Forward/backwards on the throttle, I also assigned a 4 way hat on the throttle handle for the left/right/up/down thrusters
The data point randomizes between fixed possible spots - In the medbay beside the bed, in the bedroom to the left when you enter the main hall from the docking port, in the bridge, in the hangar, in the dining room at the front, and a few others I cant remember. Its a screen on a wall with a red lighted wire.
About the “slamming” into its side: actually never had that issue. If you play space sims for awhile, you just know that when approaching an object in space, you never should fly directly at it. Makes you overshoot instead of slamming your face into it. Its like “dont stand next to each other in mens toilet” kind of rule.
Honestly I remember being back at school seeing star citizen but never had the computer, saw your videos then fell down the rabbit hole and now a new player, even if I'm not sure what to do the views alone are worth
Since I think your using a hotas or hosas setup, the best solution for reverse is to bind a button to toggle the throttle from forward acceleration to reverse acceleration. The only downside is if you're flying forward at max throttle and hit the button for reverse, you only apply reverse thrust as long as the button is pressed. To "shift" into reverse you have to bring the throttle to 0 (can still be moving forward) then hit the button
Love your videos. Finally got to play for a few hours today and kept dying on delivery missions hahaha. Lost my sniper rifle and armor that i bought from the pledge store but still had a lot of fun. This game just keeps getting better
you should do the mission 'call to arms' with every bh mission you do cause get extra free credits for every kill, how higher the crime stat how more you get payed. It does work on npc too iirc
The data transmission panel moves around. Also note that if you kill all the hostiles THEN take out the data transmission BEFORE the timer is up, the mission will bug out. So that's easier said than done but still possible and is in the issue counsil since this mission was available
Bonus to deactivate hacker terminal found in either bedrooms, kitchen, cargo bay on wall opposite stairs. It rotates around 4-5 locations each trip. Always make bee line to med bay and set spawn point just in case. Pitch ship nose into hanger, aim, fire U can kill em all with ship guns.
May 20-31 will be the Invictus week. I believe your first one? I love this time of year. The datapad in the 890 Mission is always randomly placed at one of the consoles. You can hear a electric noise once you get close to it. Yep never fly directly towards a object. Always aim slightly off ;D. (From experience of course) In the 890 are 3 or 4 elevators you can try. Also Stairs near the Escape pods. Maybe bind a reverse button for such situations haha ;D.
funniest thing happened the other day. Was playing Star Citizen for my first time on my friends pc (still upgrading mine to run it). Saw your previous video of the 890 jump and wanted to try for myself. I dont remember what i did or how it happened, but pretty much i accidentaly slammed into the ship at warp speed. I blew up my friends ship and felt so bad. After i respawned, it gave me the 45000 credits with the mission complete! Apparently i blew up the 890 aswell, killing everyone onboard... Fastest first mission ever!
Eventually you're gonna have to go visit Bennyhenge near Grim Hex, you'll dig it. Also when at New Babbage you should follow the monorail outside and go under the hotel building, there's secrets there.
There's a whole hidden questline there's supposed to lead to the Bennyhenge starting with a tablet you can read at security post Kareah i believe. It's pretty fun. It includes the story of why the bennyhenge exists.
Lol really enjoying these vids, the "parking incident" shall never be mentioned again lol. Olli you can just press 'S' to go backwards, or bind a slider to reverse if you have one, or use a 4-way hat-switch for directional strafing. But yeah in a pinch, WASD keys bro lol. Looking forward to the next one!
I don't play Star Citizen (yet), but I'm interested in the different types of armour found in the game, especially after you went to the trouble to get that animal skull helmet. I realise that this isn't a fashion channel😁, but please consider making a video about that.
That just happened to me this weekend. The ship spawned but it spawned like 500m away from the marker and the contract wouldn't update because the 890 was to far away from the marker. So I left the ship and started flying to the marker to see if it would update and as I got within 50m of the marker the damn 890 immediately spawned to the maker. Me and my ship were BREIFLY inside the 890 jump before exploding and getting a level 2 crime stat. very not cool. But normally this is my favorite mission to do, and since the update I've done it multiple times and had no issues at all. Also if the elevator by the bar doesnt work. there is one inside the bar on the right. And also there are two under the grand stair case behind some doors. There are two ladders down here as well.
I don't understand why you turn your triangle ship in the reverse shape of the triangle hangar of the 890 this make no sens you put your largest parts (wings) into the smaller area of the hangar
I have not ever slammed into the side of the ship, HOWEVER I did the mission with a friend last night and he went full speed ahead in his freelancer and blew up the 890
Unless you unbound it you should be able to reverse with S. Personally I prefer dual stick over HOTAS. I USED to fly with a throttle but the INSTANT I tried dual stick my throttle days were history.
Little Tip, you can verify that you are wearing a helmet when looking at the UI. if you wear a helmet, you got this little blue bottom right corner and see eg mission objectives with the small, blue font. if you dont wear a helmet you wont see the hud corner and mission messages will be in large white letters.
the data transmission is at a randomized terminal ive never been able to find it in time but its somewhere lol you kinda gotta speed run it also having a group helps
Nice job on the clear and with only 1 magazine of ammo. Haven't been brave enough to solo this mission yet but I might give it a go. Going to take extra ammo though!
Olli ily and i like that ur enjoying star citizen and ik alot of other ppl are aswell. Just wish we could see you do some other content now like the old days. Its like ur star citizen exclusive channel now 😭
Sorry to ask but what are your pc specs or what pc build do you have as I'm really wanting to build my own pc so I can play this game. Btw I love your content :)
You should check out morphologist's latest SC vid about finding rare loot (old paid for only items). Sorry if you've already done this or aware of this already, think it'd be cool for you to get some sick items 👍
Me: This should be fun. Olli: Doesn't know there's more than one elevator in the Jump. Also Olli: Puts his Gladius in the Jump...backwards....after putting it in correctly the first time. Me: Yep...told me so.
Olli....what do you mean you don't have reverse? I assume what you mean is that you are using your throttle as forward thrust only, in which case you need to bind a button that inverses your thrust so that forward throttle becomes backward throttle. In my original use without pedals that is what I did, now that I have pedals I only use the throttle ministick for strafing and I use my pedals for right is forward thrust and left is backwards thrust, the amount of thrust control is kind of silly and really easy to maintain in fights.
Be careful with personal mission ost of the time it's pirates missions they are given by ninetails, dusters, private sender or Vaughn and appointment mission it's the different NPS mission giver who wants to see you.
I literally just built an entire pc JUST to play this game 😅 so excited to hop on! One problem though… I created my account before I could use your code :( now I’ll be starting off broke
Start with package deliveries turn earn some credits to buy the gear you need for combat. You have a lot to learn in a game that is not new player friendly. Expect to die a lot for your first time.
Tried this mission the other day; completely forgot about the 2 ships guarding it (been 2 years since i last played)- went against my better judgement and engaged them and then died :/ Was using a stock titan but my shields jst got insta-depleted :/
My fav way of doing this mission is to use my Avenger Titan, park above the forward hangar and hang out the back ramp sniping the enemies in the hangar, then landing the Titan inside :) As for the data transmissions, you're looking for a black tablet mounted to a wall with a cable plugged into a socket. Locations I know of are in the guest quarters left and right of the atrium on level 1 and 2, as well as the dividing wall between the forward dining area and the bar, the bridge and the med bay.
What do you mean you don't have reverse? Have you played all this time without reversing? I mean fair enough, that's pretty impressive. In more than one way! The default keyboard key for reverse is 'S' and if it has for whatever weird reason been unbound, then go in the keybinds settings and rebind 'strafe backward" to s in the flight movement section.
Is there only 1 train in GTA5? If your in the desert and you get one to come then your mate is in the city with other people can they get one aswell? And get in them please do a video on this its bugged me for years
ALWAYS leave z pressed when in 3rd person and center the ship to the camara for some reason it always starts at a weird downward angle thats terrible for flying and hides the landing gear, it's practically sabotage lol. o7
I'm pretty sure he meant that his ship doesn't have forward facing thrusters. Since Star Citizen has the thrusters actually doing the thrusting it affects things like that. I could be wrong, but based on what I've understood about the game's flight physics you'd need to have thrusters that could face forward to actually go in reverse.
@@danisaksson3214 of course the Gladius has forward facing thrusters! What do you think it uses to slow down? Air brakes? He meant that he has not set up reverse thrust on his throttle so he can use the full range for forward. He should bind a button on the throttle to reverse thrust
Its addictive till the game decides to take a massive shit on you. The other day I was doing a illegal monitoring mission, and when I was flying a message came up saying waiting in server queue, while that message was up I had no control over my ship and it was going full speed towards the comms array, when the message had gone it was to late and went straight into the comms array. That is one of the many times the game has said fuck you and I've nearly punched a hole through my monitor

I would pay a lot of money for a bug-free VR version of Star Citizen. Beautiful game.
You know there's a hallway behind the foyer on the bottom floor, right? You didn't have to fly into the hangar.
I don't understand why you turn your triangle ship in the reverse shape of the triangle hangar of the 890 this make no sens you put your largest parts (wings) into the smaller area of the hangar
I have not ever slammed into the side of the ship, HOWEVER I did the mission with a friend last night and he went full speed ahead in his freelancer and blew up the 890
Man seeing your improvements over time really reminds me of my first time starting the game.
It can be on any wall computer panel, I usually find it in on the bedrooms.
Unless you unbound it you should be able to reverse with S. Personally I prefer dual stick over HOTAS. I USED to fly with a throttle but the INSTANT I tried dual stick my throttle days were history.
Dual-stick is life!
Little Tip, you can verify that you are wearing a helmet when looking at the UI. if you wear a helmet, you got this little blue bottom right corner and see eg mission objectives with the small, blue font. if you dont wear a helmet you wont see the hud corner and mission messages will be in large white letters.
This is true, if nothing is bugged out for some reason...
I love the 890 Jump mission! thx for the content
I'm nabbing your idea of turning the lights on lol never thought of that
the data transmission is at a randomized terminal ive never been able to find it in time but its somewhere lol you kinda gotta speed run it also having a group helps
Looks like you just learned why so many people prefer a second stick over a throttle controller. Reverse is important :)
Watching the guard got executed while you're stuck in the hangar is quiet disturbing lol
Nice job on the clear and with only 1 magazine of ammo. Haven't been brave enough to solo this mission yet but I might give it a go. Going to take extra ammo though!
found you from the levelcap video!
the data thing is a tablet in a series of locations IF it spawns
Hes such a great guy 👍🏼
Olli ily and i like that ur enjoying star citizen and ik alot of other ppl are aswell. Just wish we could see you do some other content now like the old days. Its like ur star citizen exclusive channel now 😭
I was searching for something to watch while eating and you posted this 😄 Thanks for the video man😄🙏🏻
Hope you enjoyed it!
@@Olli43 Yup! Like always 😁
Really wish that you could have took the 890J home with you. You got gypped!
My buddy and I did this contract this morning and those two ships never spawned we just boarded and must of the bad guys were in the the cargo bay
A dropship with friends would be awesome on this hangar
There's another service elevator in the corridors to the escape pods.
The data transmission device can spawn anywhere in the ship. Even in toilets xD
Aboslutely smashed into a couple too many 890 Jumps doing that mission lmao 🤣
From my understanding is its in a random spot, how many possible spots? I don't know (IDK)
~13:47 - Olli... You could have just backed up a little and it would have been fine. Not exiting the bay, doing a 180 and fitting it in the wrong way.
Be careful with personal mission ost of the time it's pirates missions they are given by ninetails, dusters, private sender or Vaughn and appointment mission it's the different NPS mission giver who wants to see you.
i'm dying watching you land in the hangar 😛
I literally just built an entire pc JUST to play this game 😅 so excited to hop on! One problem though… I created my account before I could use your code :( now I’ll be starting off broke
Start with package deliveries turn earn some credits to buy the gear you need for combat. You have a lot to learn in a game that is not new player friendly. Expect to die a lot for your first time.
Oh, and welcome to the verse!
Tried this mission the other day; completely forgot about the 2 ships guarding it (been 2 years since i last played)- went against my better judgement and engaged them and then died :/ Was using a stock titan but my shields jst got insta-depleted :/
Slammed into a derelict ship yearerday, probably the day before too. 😂
Great Video :)
Thanks!
My fav way of doing this mission is to use my Avenger Titan, park above the forward hangar and hang out the back ramp sniping the enemies in the hangar, then landing the Titan inside :)
As for the data transmissions, you're looking for a black tablet mounted to a wall with a cable plugged into a socket. Locations I know of are in the guest quarters left and right of the atrium on level 1 and 2, as well as the dividing wall between the forward dining area and the bar, the bridge and the med bay.
Hm, surprisingly fitting that a mission with enemy boarders have the AI be as responsive as if they were actually cardboard boarders.
Bro how are u pumping these vids out every single day
Just work hard! Also, its a tad easier when you love SC. o7
What happens if you take off without clearance?
You do not need clearance to take off from an open pad. You only need clearance if you are in a hanger and need the doors opened by ATC.
Excellent video as always!
You might want to disable the tac light before entering the ship
What Are Your Pc Specs
u can go backwards, Look up coupled and decoupled Mode! ✌️
Is there only 1 train in GTA5? If your in the desert and you get one to come then your mate is in the city with other people can they get one aswell? And get in them please do a video on this its bugged me for years
ALWAYS leave z pressed when in 3rd person and center the ship to the camara for some reason it always starts at a weird downward angle thats terrible for flying and hides the landing gear, it's practically sabotage lol. o7
What missions earn the most money
There is a key binding to reverse your thrust
The hacking device are in a randomly place each time, connected to one of the monitors in the ship.
Almost time for Fleet Week! 🚀👩🚀👨🚀🪐
I’m so hyped!
Did you pay for all those ships or is this PTU?
When is George coming back
What do you mean you don't have reverse?
Its addictive till the game decides to take a massive shit on you.
The other day I was doing a illegal monitoring mission, and when I was flying a message came up saying waiting in server queue, while that message was up I had no control over my ship and it was going full speed towards the comms array, when the message had gone it was to late and went straight into the comms array.
That is one of the many times the game has said fuck you and I've nearly punched a hole through my monitor
is there enough to do in starcitizen right now, to keep you busy for awhile??
Yes, but your idea of stuff to do may be different than others.
@@festersmith8352 ok thats true/fair
@@derk4737 I have recently started playing with a new player a few weeks ago, and hes has been on daily for hours, and still hasn't seen everything or done every thing.
He's loving it and having fun.
But again fun is relevant to you.
Patience with bugs is also relevant to you.
@@festersmith8352 thanks
After 20+hours play time I am proud to announce I have graduated from my broke naked ass suffocating on the landing pad to cartwheels in the hanger and death spins into space stations. You could say it's making my blood boil in more ways than 1 but I love this game. I can't do this mission, I have only ever completed 2 defend missions in all the time I've been playing 😬😅
Find a veteran to guide you. It will eliminate a whole lot of frustration in learning the game.
I have a flexible schedule and can help.
@@festersmith8352 Sorry for such a late reply, I'd really appreciate being showed the ropes. Everyone is so friendly and helpful in this game. When I've had questions in the past I'd post it on world chat and always get a straight forward answer. My ID is; UnrealEntropy. Hopefully see you in the verse ✌🏼🖖🏼
@@u_t2347 I sent you a friend request thru Spectrum XBP.
After that. I need your Discord name. and it will be easier to connect. But a time and time zone you wish to connect will be helpful.
Why don't you have reverse?
