Thanks for posting this, wish I had it a few months ago. The swap isn't that bad, you can pull the engine through the top, with the trans, intake, exhaust all on the block without clearance issues for a D series at least. When putting the engine in, make sure the transmission is in neutral, meaning the bitch pin has to be connected when the silver tab on your transmission is in the middle. It can go forward, middle, and back. You want the transmission to be in the middle, don't ask me how I know. I did a swap with no information and it wasn't that bad. Any ammature can do this with the right tools.
Why does it have to be in neutral? Also when I was trying to allign shift linkage to push the bitch pin in I accidentally shifted it into gear (I'm pretty sure third) any suggestions?
@@tollom4943 Your transmission is in third gear, but your shifter wont be. You need to align them both. LEFT ( 1 - 3 - 5) RIGHT ( 2 - 4 - R) - This is your normal shift pattern. The round tab on the transmission moves left and forward (1st gear) and then you can pull it left and backwards (2nd gear.) If its center and forward, your transmission is in third gear, but your shifter is probably sitting in neutral. I hope my explanation and text drawing help you figure it out. Stick a screwdriver in, line it all up and then put the bitch pin in and hammer away. That's what I did.
Have a 97 JDM import integra sedan I’m about to swap a type r b18c engine/trans and go auto works turbo kit into it this video is super helpful and love that it’s quick to the point thank you
I bought 2 of them at tractor supply co a couple years back. They’re actually adjustable wrenches and that’s the handle. “Allignment pin” is what I’d call it. I use it on suspension parts sometimes
@@Ruined4banger ya dude doing a great job. Got the right amount of content. So you know what's going on. But not borning. And back ground music. And good job on the all wheel civic. Can't wait to see some all wheel drive burn outs
