Dang it FE! You finally put a good track to race on, its just a shame you don’t broadcast it for free in the USA. How are you going to get more fans if you don’t put it on regular television. Now i’m just gonna end up watching 2minutes of highlights on youtube, so lame

The thing is I am interested in f1 and formula e but Formula E is going to race when f1 is going for it's qualifying session in Barcelona. Both are at the same time... hard to decide what I'd rather watch 👀
As good as qualifying is, I’d rather watch a race so it’ll be FE for me

Bring in pitstops for a battery change and Formula e will be fantastic
We will have to wait until 2023 with the new Gen3.
A pit stop will be mandatory to recharge the battery in a few seconds (not 100% but just enough time to finish the race).

This is as much racing as NASCAR that run the ultimate SPEC car. To have electric make the true jump to world class racing they need to open up specs on motor or battery or aero or, all of the above.
The drivetrains are open, not spec. Battery and aero are spec so that the costs are contained and development is focused on the electric drive components.

Monaco is a gr8 track for some but for others the lack of passing opportunitys it provides makes it a winning track for pole sitters only, not sure how formula e will do on a full course hopefull we are in for a exciting race or not

But as you don't upload races anymore....a lot of people won't get to see it. This is a great track for Formula E...crap track for F1.

Monaco is a legendary track but is the worstest because of no overtaking moves
In Previous Monaco visits for Formula E there have been lots of overtakes here. Less downforce and no dirty air means the cars can get much closer to each other without disadvantage. Should be plenty of overtakes on Saturday 👌

Not until they sort out the daft safety car rules. A safety car should lead to a strategy change and a push for the finish. Not 90% of the cars failing to finish a race due to having no power left.
@@DavidDewis to be fair that was an outlier thanks to many factors we wouldnt normally see in a formula e race. weve had like 20 races with those safety car rules with no issues
@@DavidDewis whilst the rules need adapting, reducing energy is necessary so that the race remains interesting. There would be no strategy if they didn’t as everyone would just push to the end. Chances are there’d be minimal overtaking as the cars are so close on pace
@@johnwhittaker311 thats the point. In formula 1, a safety car leads to teams further down the field often finishing higher. They don’t remove fuel during a safety car. No other racing series does. It’s crazy. I really want to enjoy Formula E. Ive followed it since season 1. But they need to stop with the gimmicks. Is Formula E a race series or an energy management series?
@@DavidDewis you need energy management to make it a race rather than a procession. The cars are too close on pace without it
Steam engine powered racing is actually eco friendly, why not go for that!?
At least they dont use such ammounts of precious and expensive materials as do these "eco" Formula E cars.
