    It’s fun to hear different perspectives from different countries. Here in Greece it starts from 22 thousand up to 36, I think but the reviews in most European countries are really good. Toyota never went to the luxury road, because, in my opinion, they don’t have to. They sell reliability. I grew up in Toyotas and because I wanted an SUV type of car and Toyota only had the expensive Rav 4 back then, we went to a Nissan Quashqai with my husband, ten years ago. Biggest mistake we ever made. The amount of problems it has had over the years is ridiculous. We are about to buy the Yaris Cross and I hope all goes well.

    I’ve had one of these for over a year and I’m surprised at the very ordinary fuel consumption you recorded.
    Ours sits on 3.5-3.6 litres/100kms in town. If I really try I can keep it down to 3.4.
    A few months back we drove to Albany and Esperance, then back to Perth and it hit 4.9 litres/ 100 kms. About $225 in fuel for about 2300kms.
    I generally get up near 800 kms out of a tank and the most fuel I’ve ever put in its 36 litre tank is 29 litres 😊

      I hired Yaris cross in cairns had fuel consumption down to 3.2-3.3 L/100km around town, impressive on fuel, found front drivers door wind noise and tyre road noise , otherwise impressive good size SUV

    • @zwieseler
      @zwieseler Год назад

      @@vincesteer7960 Very good result. My town figures include some freeway driving which pushes up fuel consumption. In any case, Toyota claim 3.8 l/100kms city fuel consumption so anything below that is a win.

  • @pauld6556

    This car at best should be $33k drive away, with base model starting at $25k. It may be reliable but it’s nothing but a cheap plastic knock off from the early 2000s. Toyota slapping some height on a Yaris, throwing in a hybrid drivetrain, a digital dash from the Echo and first generation Yaris (just now in fancy circles) and thinking they can ask $40k+ for it is beyond a joke.

    • @jasimqureshi2672
      @jasimqureshi2672 Год назад +3

      I mean, adding all those things really does transform a car and thus demand a higher price. "Slapping on" height, hybrid drivetrain, digital dashes/screens, alloy wheels and better speakers are big ticket items. Agree though that 40k is a joke.
