There's more!!!! 7. Foreign Investment: Industrialization often requires substantial capital investments, technology transfers, and expertise. If the Philippines had successfully industrialized, it would have likely attracted foreign direct investment from multinational corporations looking to set up manufacturing plants and take advantage of the country's resources and labor force. This could have brought in additional expertise, advanced technologies, and access to global markets. 8. This would have reduced the Philippines' dependence on a few key exports and exposed it to a wider range of international markets, making the economy more resilient to external shocks. 9. bruh american force to use the unitary system because they treated philippines as states not a country. if we are a british colony we will have a westminister parliamentary style we will see every week our prime minister in our tv. debating about the current problems of the country, and how to fix much with political and scientific explanations, better than American Presidential System which is sucks. puro press con lng hahahahahaha many reformers in the philippinessaid to adopt German model of parliamentary and federalism. but the liberals wants the outdated system to be used than to change it to a better system like germany. at if we are a british colony we are a federalist not a unitarnism government. because UK treat their colony as a country.
Idk about this man. Luzon has always been the heart of the Filipino revolutionary spirit. They simply will not allow the British to annex Luzon even if that means Visayas and Mindanao is free. This is like if the British left the American colonies but annexed New York or New England or Virginia. It’s a join or die kind of deal.
What if 1. The Philippines remained a US territory (like Guam) or granted Statehood(like Hawaii) instead of gaining independence? 2. Ferdinand Marcos never became the president of the Philippines?
@Crebs Park actually, California and other population heavy states have a powerful sphere of political influence because of that. But they have other ways that amplify the effect like Hollywood, news media, etc. So yeah, population might not be the single trait that dominates US politics, but its significant and long-reaching effects are the reasons why politicians fighting for the position of president would mostly put their campaigning power on these heavily populated states.
@Crebs Park I never said that, but it actually proves my point. Donald Trump's presidency wasn't a landslide vote, anyone with half a brain would know that, assuming you have either lobe. It's because California is a liberal-leaning, densely populated state and of the reasons why electoral college voting exists. Because if it didn't, all presidencies favored by that state would almost always get the vote. Even with a 1 every 400k electoral vote ratio, they still have one of the largest amounts of electoral votes in a single state. So I don't get what you're fighting for, unless you're in it with the trolling.
@Crebs Park nice ad hominem fallacy, by the way. No wonder liberals are never seen as rational people, even if it's a left-leaning centrist who wants to have a fruitful and logical debate.
this war would consist of Britain and the German empire attacking France witch would lead to an easy victory in Europe, Germany would join in simply because this would allow for greater German power on the continent. Meanwhile in East indies the Philippines would fight on the side of France and quickly take the remaining British islands. While the Indians would attempt another rebellion to join northern India. The quick victory in Europe would allow Britain to mobilize more forces against India while its navy would attack the Philippians. India would at first but they wouldn't be able to capitalize on their gains as the ruling Indian princes would sped to much time fighting over who would be gaining the land as the Indian Princedom would be a feudal kingdom that would be fragile and to the more decentralised and more organised British Forces who would capture Deli within two years. This would leave the Indian forces decimated and in complete collapse, that along with the constant rebellions that the Indian Princedoms would have due to the large Islamic population in the north west on the nation would make fighting on far more difficult. Meanwhile the Philippians would fall due to the overwhelming Naval power of Britain however securing the island would be difficult due to harsh jungle fighting and the forts built by the British during their rule. Overall the war would be largely a British and German victory as America wouldn't get involved with defending the Philippines as they wouldn't be worth getting involved in a European war. Meanwhile Japan seeing Americas willingness to ignore the Philippines japan would order America to leave the ports that it controlled in the region and allow Japan to become an independent nation. This would result in the treaty of Washington were American troops would leave their controlled ports in japan in favour of japan but American companies would be allowed to stay and Japan would remain part of the Honolulu pact, 2 weeks later Japan invades Manchuria and any war would be to costly strategically would be impossible for the US to prosecute so they just let this happen. From here Japan would invade the Heavenly kingdom showing support for traditionalist chines forces and so would see a quick victory. From here we have a reinvigorated British empire, a more Powerful German Empire, a demoralized France that would have lost a majority of its colonies to Britain and Germany with a high likely hood of falling to communism. Were as Japan dominates most of Asia and the US is left humiliated by Japan and Britain with nationalist movements growing with the goal of restoring American glory after two empires managed to brake the US's attempt to control the pacific. (so possible communist France because they always go communist and a fascist America against the mostly democratic empires of Europe and Asia, anyone up for seeing this worlds WW2)

Yeah. I would've preferred it to be the British rather than Spain. Take a look at what they did with Singapore and Hong Kong. They're among the richest countries in Asia. Even America and Australia both used to be a British colony.
Or if the British don’t see the Philippines as important it might become something like India,or Britain’s African colonies. If we were colonized by the British hopefully they see us as important (since closer trade proximity to China)and develop the Philippines a whole lot (like industrializing it and making a world class port in Manila in order to export and import goods to China more efficiently)
Your Waifu Sucks singapore became rich because they had competent leaders and disciplined citizens. Philippines was actually doing good until the early marcos era. Then marcos went crazy and decided to fuck philippines in the ass. Then it started one incompetent leader after another lead philippines into a downward spiral. I mean really an action star as president what could go wrong right?? So no even if we were a british colony we would still be shit. Unless we can prevent marcos from going crazy and if we can stop people from voting incompetent pieces of shit just because they had good public image.

(Optional): What if Germany Reunified earlier? (Maybe around 1850's or maybe 1860's some where around there)

....Forgetting about Australia? Oh and the rest of Indonesia outside of Borneo? It's likely here that either the British ally with the Dutch, or the Dutch completely screw them. If the Dutch screwed them, I'd expect Australia to be disunited.
No need to put sneaky Brits into the picture. A simpler, less complicated and more realistic scenario would be to just build on the actual events of the post-WW2 era, the Philippines just gained independence from the US and was recovering well from war, on its way to prosperity. Among the emerging industrialists, Harry Stonehill was the most successful with his various ventures from selling Christmas cards to manufacturing glasswares, from publishing to Virginia tobacco, which he introduced to the farmers of the North. But the newly-formed CIA came into the picture and tapped Stonehill to use him for political manipulation - bribing major politicians, among others. He was given no choice but to comply 'til it get to the point where he just couldn't take the evil dictates anymore. This coincided with the coming presidential election and Manila Mayor Arsenio Larson, had earlier approached Stonehill for support towards his presidency. The CIA did not like Lacson so Stonehill just had to refuse him. In real history, Stonehill was eventually deported and lose all his wealth and lucrative businesses, while Lacson mysteriously died at a young age of 49, after escaping numerous attempts on his life, "official" cause of death was stroke. Now comes the alternate reality..... Stonehill and Lacson realized they have something in common....both love the Philippines and hate the CIA-engineering and threats....Together they formed an alliance....Stonehill has the money and a strong big business machinery, Lacson has the charisma, mass support and political connections. Stonehill was aware of the CIA tactics and know how to detect, halt or go around it. Lacson has the balls to go against CIA operations.....To cut a long story short, they purged the CIA from the Philippines and pole-vaulted its economy to surpass Japan. Simple lesson, simple recipe: get rid of the CIA or in the case of the Brit-controlled colonies, get of the BEIC.
Oh it WILL Industrialize. So far leading GDP growth in the ASEAN/SEA region second only to China. Very competitive for industry with a strong growing young and able workforce. Global companies will focus investments in ASEAN because of the cheap and hard working labor where though salaries are not that high, the standard of living is adjusted so the economies are growing. Give it a few more years on this trend and you'll get your Industrialized PH. Also if I may add, one of the best Tourist Destinations in Asia as well. Thanks =)
In the Philippines, no body taught us that the british ruled the Philippines. But our textbooks did say that the british faught the spanish when the Philippines was a colony of Spain.
How I wish my country, the Philippines never revolted for its Independence againsts the colonizers ( Spain, Britain, America, Japan). We could have been like Hawaii, or Hongkong now, how sad....my country cannot still stand on its feet on her way to progress, the weight of greed and corruption keeps her paralyzed.
Honestly, Philippine independence is inevitable. Pero nagkamali ang Pilipinas on how we got our independence, we got it through a revolution. Sure nakaka-proud pero it led us to become nationalistic to the point na naging protectionist country tayo. Whereas Malaysia and Singapore, though boring (gradual and peaceful) yung independence nila from the British, this also meant that they didn't develop a nationalism-induced protectionism thus they became a foreigner (investor) friendly sovereign states and now they're doing better than us economically. Ganoon din sa mga former Spanish colonies sa South America, they got their independence through wars of secession that's why most of them ay mahihirap right now except Chile (Pinochet's a dictator who imposed a pro-big business constitution). In Argentina for example, mayaman na bansa talaga sila noong 1800s because of British commerce, agriculture, office firms, railroads, and other corporations operating there but when a populist Peron came to power and imposed protectionism, doon na nagsimula bumagsak ang bansa nila. Same story din sa Venezuela and Cuba, they saw American multinational companies in their land as evil thus they began nationalising it. Chinese and Vietnamese Communists took a hard lesson to learn that if you want to improve your people's lives, you don't antagonize Western capitalist imperialists just because they're opposed to your terrible ideology thus they began opening up their economies in the 1980s.
The British kicking out the Spanish is very much possible, but that will most likely happen with the help of the moro sultanates in Mindanao that were still not under Spain until the late 1800s. If the Madrid protocol Didnt happen which is Spain relinquishing all claims on North Borneo. Then North Borneo will be part of the Philippines, if the Philippines was under British rule.
Better yet, what if the Phils became an agricultural success? We had the soil&climate for agriculture, can you imagine Filipinos going hungry, poor & homeless if we got big in agriculture? We'd be an economicaly well off nation able to afford a decent standard of living, healthy & reasonably happy with a green country.
Yeah but you need to change our farmers and cooperatives' mindset that corporations (even foreign ones) running agriculture land isn't a bad thing because that's the reason why China, Vietnam, and Thailand have high-intensity industrial farming right now, that's why they're now the ones exporting rice to us as opposed to the past.
Imo I don't think that the french would support the rebels, rather see it as a new scramble for Africa but in China and may help the British in exchange for land
When the British invaded manila sometime on 1762, that gave us the idea that the Spanish can be defeated in a war, that's what happened on 1896 war for independence with the support of the United States until we were sold to the US after the Spanish American war,,, the we became an American colony,,,

bruh american force to use the unitary system because they treated philippines as states not a country. if we are a british colony we will have a westminister parliamentary style we will see every week our prime minister in our tv. debating about the current problems of the country, and how to fix much with political and scientific explanations, better than American Presidential System which is sucks. puro press con lng hahahahahaha many reformers in the philippinessaid to adopt German model of parliamentary and federalism. but the liberals wants the outdated system to be used than to change it to a better system like germany. at if we are a british colony we are a federalist not a unitarnism government. because UK treat their colony as a country.
What if
1. The Philippines remained a US territory (like Guam) or granted Statehood(like Hawaii) instead of gaining independence?
2. Ferdinand Marcos never became the president of the Philippines?
Yes, a US state that outnumbers all other US states in terms of population. Ya think them Yanks would let us Pinoys dominate their politics?
@Crebs Park I was being sarcastic...

I was thinking the same before you said "The Pacific Triangle"
Oof
this war would consist of Britain and the German empire attacking France witch would lead to an easy victory in Europe, Germany would join in simply because this would allow for greater German power on the continent.
Philippians? More like Filipinos dumbass.
I see as a filipino it would seem british colonization would've been better than the spanish since the spanish where so hard on us.. why did'nt we think of the real enemy.... why didn't we just use the chance to join the british rather than the spanish.. imagine us filipinos today we would be civillized like singapore and canada.
Filipinos also cooperated with the Spanish in order to drove the British away.
Luigi Reginald Resoles yep, including the French Colonizers. A good example is in Central Africa where most of it are controlled by the French.
I got a few Alt History ideas...
1: What if America turned Constitutional Monarchy after the War of 1812?
2: What if Canada broke way from Britain during the American Revolution?
3: What if the Emperor of Japan lost to the Shogun?
4: What if Russia (Some how) Win the Russio-Japanese War?
5: And finally, What if the Vikings successful Colonized Britain?
(Optional): What if Germany Reunified earlier? (Maybe around 1850's or maybe 1860's some where around there)
This is one of the best alternatives to videos ever watched I hope Jay group in education makes a different version of this make it a French Philippines
Britain: My sons, we have a little sister
Canada, Australia and New Zealand: Where?!
Also Britain: She's here
The Philippines: Hello, my new brothers and sisters
All of the British Commonwealth: Hello!!!
Also Philippines: They are my new siblings now?
Britain: Yes, and forget that paella eating bastard who just own you
Alternative History
Filipinos: we learned how to speak English
Because of the 333 years occupied by UK
In that timeline we might as well be "Anglo-lized" like Australia
💀
What if Jacksepticeye became king of Ireland?
British actually take advantage of Filipino Revolution against Spain during 1762s to conquer Luzon island with 3 stage point but Spanish see the British Ship armada comes from the north and makes Spanish overwhelm by British power ..and end up conquer Manila and Cavite ...Spanish wants to control the Capital again but their forces focused in Visayas and Southern Luzon with not enough forces...thats why Spanish came up with a ceasefire and agreement with Filipino Revolutionist to joint force against British invasion
What if the 1952 Egyptian coup never happened
egypt would be britians bitch for a while ( 5-10 years more than in our timeline )
What if alternate history hub made an empire bent on twisting the fabric of space, time, and reality itself?
best what if ive ever heard
What if Monsieur Z established the White Ethno State?
i wanna join but i dont have a white skintone if i painted my skin white am i eligible to join
Nasaan ang ating Rebolusyon ng Katipunan!?!
I didn't expect this topic to come up. Nice to see these rare sights.
I think that will only exist if Spain invaded us,which actually did
4:12 A Bermuda Triangle Reference
*I THINK I LIKE THIS TIMELINE BETTER*
Poidachi shu-shut up
Its not.......
nope
she kiss= shakies
laugh is= pencil
Ito po ang english to pinoy language :)
The Philippines would literally Latinize it's neighbors in this timeline
Then Philippines wouldn't be called Philippines.
Then the culture of the PHILIPPINES will be very different from how it is now!.!.
I would’ve thought Russia would fully annex Mongolia and Turkistan, since they tried to with Mongolia
> Philippines acquires urban infrastructure
> UK starts WW1
Sounds fun, indeed. Nice videos, by the way.
You two should merge into one channel, I like this guys editing, but he can't match your story-telling and personality. #MonsieurZUberAlles
Mr. Z and Simon of DA Group, may I use this video and the one about "The New Sunrise" as references for my future writings? These topics are interesting since I hail from the Philippines. Thanks!
It's fine by me.
Thanks very much!
I like Monsieur Z more :)
Monsieur Z will always be there for his people.
1st:
Phil: hi

2nd
Spain:WOW
If that happen the name of my country is Philippines it will be Elizabethpines lmao
It would be came from king george III cause during his time, we were colonized by them in just 2 yrs (1762 - 1764).
What if China went through an Industrial Revolution during the Tang Dynasty (the era when they really began to use gunpowder in their weapons)?
Why would the brithish take Macau if Portugal didn't intervene, Da group education always seems to dismiss Portugal in all he's alternate history videos for some reason.
Usually the thumbnail flags you have are ridiculous looking but the British Philippine flag is actually really sick looking!
That's because I designed it. Thanks!
What if Russia won the Russo-Japanese War?
this is gonna sound kinda obnoxious, but hear me out
a divided russia... to the south, we have a communist state - soviet russia led by lenin's bolshevik party
to the north we have (what remains of) the russian empire, led by the black baron and the white army
the russian civil war would kind of just be in a stalemate, i imagine - practically having a similar situation to modern day north and south korea
>What if the East India Company had broken free and became Independent? It basically was in all but name already.
....Forgetting about Australia?
Oh and the rest of Indonesia outside of Borneo?
It's likely here that either the British ally with the Dutch, or the Dutch completely screw them.
If the Dutch screwed them, I'd expect Australia to be disunited.
3:25 when my brain runs out of brain cells
Simple lesson, simple recipe: get rid of the CIA
or in the case of the Brit-controlled colonies, get of the BEIC.
Thanks =)
4:07 Lol 😂😂😂
In the Philippines, no body taught us that the british ruled the Philippines. But our textbooks did say that the british faught the spanish when the Philippines was a colony of Spain.
this is an "alternate" history, meaning it's just a "what if" situation.
You fucking stupid. Better read more textbooks rather be here in youtube.
It kinda looks like a Oversimplified 2.0 Viedo
I've been waiting for this.
With or without foreign masters, the oligarchs will still rule over us like cattles.
素晴らしい。。 i am Japanese and Filipino.. good good Video
Imagine a German Philippines. Imagine a Russian Philippines! Imagine a British Philippines!!!
Imagine a DUTCH Philippines!!!
America: Hey...
China: I know this looks bad but...
India: It's not you.
Philippines: Nah we kidding, it's DEFINITELY you
British Philippines
The British kicking out the Spanish is very much possible, but that will most likely happen with the help of the moro sultanates in Mindanao that were still not under Spain until the late 1800s.
If the Madrid protocol
Didnt happen which is Spain relinquishing all claims on North Borneo.
Then North Borneo will be part of the Philippines, if the Philippines was under British rule.
I am a Filipino! MABUHAY!!!!!
When did the thumbnail change?
what if communism was invented in the middle ages and overthrew feudalism
I'm a Filipino leave a like if your a Filipino too mabuhay
MISTER Z WAS HACKED
This seemed anti-British
Its called Malaysia. Malaysia and Philippines will be one country in your alternate history.
Its not the same thing without your sexy voice
Monsieur Z will never leave you guys again!
Knoxology. Thats racist
Knoxology. Ok, so using a false stereotype against someone who isnt even swiss is something good then huh
Knoxology. Better to say you are racist as a white latin american I am no more superior THAN NOBODY ELSE.
I Like This Alternate History
Imo I don't think that the french would support the rebels, rather see it as a new scramble for Africa but in China and may help the British in exchange for land
I like both scenarios (and both channels) but I like this scenario better
I'm gonna enjoy speaking English with a British accent here in the Philippines
filipino in a british accent when
Wew This is what will happen if my country would be industrialized, good job m8s for making this video
Iam a Filipino since birth.
I HAVE never heard of this part of Philippines history.
Infact this is the first time I heard about this.
Lol this is an alternate history
Philippines under Spain = poor
Philippines under Britain = Extremely Rich
Where can I get rick's portal gun?
(0:21) Where is Monsieur Z's voice? I'm hearing DA Group Education's voice only. I hope Monsieur Z's voice comes soon.
Imagine Joseph Rickfield and Andrew Boneface and General Antony Lane.
The audio of this video is a great jump in quality
Quite complex story :)! Nice :)!
Im surprised the British didn't pull a india/pakistan move with Philippines and Malaysia.
Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
Greetings from Philippines!
When the British invaded manila sometime on 1762, that gave us the idea that the Spanish can be defeated in a war, that's what happened on 1896 war for independence with the support of the United States until we were sold to the US after the Spanish American war,,, the we became an American colony,,,
Did you guys know Russia had a port in Africa, Sagallo?
That Philippine Flag in the thumbnail, thats dope!
when britain invades philippines, philippines would make english as their language and lose their spanish tastes, thus causing a great impact to their culture and traditions
