  • In this video I aim to help you tame your weak slice or fade in to a shot that creates a little more energy on the ball and a little less spin to help you create a bit more ball speed and a bit more distance to your drives.

    Excellent video, so helpful to me, now I see why my mate has been owning me off the tee, he has it forward as you suggest.

    Im a fader and accept it; never really tried this; always tried to just aim left more but more bend seems to follow. thanks for the tip. I will certainly try it on the range. Subscribed to your channel. Cheers!

    Great video. How would you set up for irons to hit a fade? With an out to in swing path is it easier to hit the ball if it’s forward in stance?

    The interesting thing about the big slice is were the tee peg went.

      @GoodGolfCoaching it flys back past the camera. This could be used as a teach for those big slicers. Take a look at where the tee peg goes to tell you exactly how you are striking the driver. Another one, use wooden tee pegs they leave a strike mark on the face and tell you which part of the face you are hitting.

    I'd love to hit the power fade but more often than not, eventhough I feel like my face is left of target, and my body line is further left again, it more often than not goes dead straight LEFT!

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  15 дней назад

      I would check grip first, understand whether you sit strong or weak, adjust accordingly. Then, add leverage in your downswing or take it away to help you encourage the face to open or close. Hope that helps. Best wishes Stu

    • @marklucey1
      @marklucey1 15 дней назад +1

      Thanks Stu. My grip is same as yours, slightly strong. So should I weaken it to encourage a more open face?

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  15 дней назад

      That’s one way, or add a little more lead wrist extension in the backswing and unload around that shape at impact.

    Good Video! So Stuart what you are saying is that you dont change your grip. Come from the inside and tee up the ball further towards or beyond your left foot for a fade. Is it?

    Lower loft in driver head will help too

    What a clip. I wish you could have spent more time on the stance and on how to address the fade.

    Another gem great work. Again hitting up and with the release should minimise a snap left?

      Unlikely… depends on a variety of things Adam. Watch enough of my videos and you’ll understand I can’t diagnose your issues, only guide you on the possible influences you need to look out for. HTH 😁

    If you need to close the pelvis and put 60% weight on your front foot for a draw, what should you do in this respect for a fade ?

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  Год назад

      Hi Steve - two options, move the ball further forward in your stance, meet the ball later and slightly weaken your grip for ease. Or, simply push off your lead leg earlier in your downswing to the point you feel you are almost (and it’s a feel not real) that you are moving away from the target with your lead side through strike. HTH

    I understand what you're trying to demonstrate. What i don't get is why demonstrate something the best players in the world don't do. DJ hits a power fade with a stronger grip than you with a ball position halfway between his front foot and the center of his stance. Collin Morikawa does the same
