    This was one of the best pro tips. I’ve heard in a long time. It would suck to get 37,000 miles get something checked and it’s not covered. That’s a great great great tip.

    Loving my 23 lightning lariat. Getting around 2.4km per mile around town. Got the pro charger from ford within a week and charging at home rules.

      Awesome … yeah I love my lariat trim too! If you haven’t seen my other videos about sport mode and pro power onboard you should try it and see if it helps your range. Turn off pro power onboard and use sport mode.

    Hi Mike. Nice vid. I did my 10k mile checkup/service on my 2022 XLT Lightning last year. My local dealer charged me $90 to do all of the things you mentioned, but they also replaced my wiper blades and rotated my tires. I think you have a nice dealership in your area where they provide this checkup as a complementary service.

    • @F150LightningMike

      That seems a bit much for wiper blades and a tire rotation. Although maybe not. My wipers were about $74 from Autozone.

    Thanks for this! We love our truck, need to go in for first maintenance check, but the dealer wants to keep it for an "unknown amount of time" and there no listed checks on the appointment. We might need to find another dealership for working on our lightning 😢

    • @F150LightningMike
      @F150LightningMike  2 месяца назад

      Yeah I would. It’s seems that only a few Ford dealers truly know how to work on EVs. Your 1st maintenance should be at 10k. Also, they only need to rotate tires and do a 25 point inspection. So it should not cost very much and not take very long.
      The only exception is if you talk to them about recalls. They may not know how long it will take to do those. Even still I would probably find another Ford dealer.

    You mentioned in one of your videos you use Apple Maps instead of the Ford nav. I can’t get my Apple Maps to reflect correct battery level and how do find chargers

      I don’t know if this will fully answer your question, but how I got mine set up is one day after I updated my iPhone I got a notification that asked me if I wanted to see the charge levels from my truck on Maps and I clicked yes. It might be because I have my phone connected to the truck. It also might be because I have my phone set up as a key, I’m actually not fully sure but I think there is a setting within the iPhone or the truck that turns it on, but I am not able to find it after already having it on.

      I just looked again and if you have an iPhone you can click on your picture on the right bottom of the map screen. Then a list pops up with “ favorites”, “ guides”, “off-line maps”, “ reports”, “ vehicles”, & “preferences”.
      My truck is listed under “vehicles” and it looks like I can click on that and change it so maybe that is where you can click and add your truck.

    Thanks for the info. Just saw a lightning at 4:30am fly by me on the highway doing about 80 here in North east Tx. I’m sure he was getting 1.9 mi/kWh while I was getting 4.2 in my 2023 Bolt 2LT 😂.

    • @johnnyv9024
      @johnnyv9024 2 месяца назад +2

      Probably closer to 1.5/1.7 m/kw if it's anything like my lightning 😆

      Don’t get me wrong, I do love how the lightning looks and the versatility. I am needing a truck and this bolt is pretty cramped. What kind of mi/kWh to you get when you hyper mile it? The best range I’ve seen so far was 270 miles on a full charge.

    • @F150LightningMike
      @F150LightningMike  2 месяца назад +3

      Speed really does kill the range. 80 is about 1.5 -1.7 as Johnny said and it goes down from there if you go faster. Also BlueCruise only works up to 80mph.

      @@crspeedreviews-yw2iq I've been about to get 2.3-2.6 mi/kw for the non-highway trips in ideal conditions, but personally never tried to hyper mile it. Base battery is 98kw, so maybe spring for the extended range battery. Honestly that's our buyer's remorse, not getting the extended range. Our base XLT gets us everywhere we NEED to go comfortably, but gotta charge on longer trips over 200mi. Not terrible, but we would prefer to always charge at home ;)
