Rahim Mohamed (aka General Ock) has amassed 3 million TikTok followers for his heart-stopping sandwich designs. He moved from Yemen in 1999 and now works at his family's bodega in Brooklyn, NY. He and many other Yemeni store owners send money back to their families who have been caught in a civil war since 2015. Over 17 million people in Yemen are not able to afford enough to eat.
