    My first CD was Landing from him. He is onbe of the most excellent players i know. When i started to see this video, i just recognized his unique sound on the didge compared to other players.

    haunting & spellbinding,in a language from the dialect of the universal mind,slowly revealing its
    creation with emotional intention. Cheers

    WTF this is so cool! He's not even using holes to change the sounds or anything! This is all from one mouth! Incredible!
    I really love the reverb bass it gives off, very cool instrument. It's not something I'd listen to too much, but it's no doubt a mysterious-sounding device.
    The strangest thing is, it gives off a peaceful, but yet errie sound at the same time..

    this guy is unique in his playing of the didje, i like the way he moves his body and his left hand, his waist, he embodies the music.

    Didjeridu performance is so hard to find in Korea, because that's not well knowned. I think that spectators are surprised by his mysterious sound.

    @Tathatajahada3 It's not nessasarily how FAST you play that makes you a good player, but what you put into it- how connected you are to your instrument that counts in my opinion!

    @redbar1mb Its not impossible as you dont breathe out from your lungs while you breathe in through your nose. As you blow out you fill your cheeks with air and then squeeze the air from your cheeks while you breathe in through your nose. As you get better you can start to get little tiny short breathes in on tiny movements of your cheeks or even by flicking your tongue forward to push a little bit of extra air out your mouth without using your lungs.

    @mark87a thats exactly right, I learned to do this after trying unsuccessfully for months, then reattempting it while on Ketamine, haha. I felt like a giant frog and my lungs were like wind sacs, coolest feeling ever. Been able to circle breathe ever since.

    Hey alexiathefox, yeah it starts out monotone, but it gains rhythm as the song progresses. Did you listen to the whole song? It's called Tjilpi-II

    it's weird... I've been listening to this every day since I found it...and I don't really know the reason... it's like a calling... it does sound kind of spiritual...

  • @cityhunterfan
    @cityhunterfan 15 лет назад

    trolltrumman, I don't think you can compare Kent to ididjaustralia. I love the NE Arnheimland style too. Kent doesn't disrepect their style by trying to imitate them. He has his own distinctive style. And he's not all "airplane" sounds. He's got a serious rhythm component too. Listen to the end of this clip. He's rockin'. But yeah, ididjaustralia posts great stuff, but remember, it's only one style of playing.

  • @SeokjinJin

    I sometimes think his sound is felt like spiritual.

  • @Tathatajahada3
    @Tathatajahada3 13 лет назад

    He's pretty good, but look up more vids cuz there are waaaay better out there. he's an excellent circle breather but I've heard kids that sounded like fast paced techno!

  • @Alexiathefox
    @Alexiathefox 16 лет назад

    Well i admit you got to have strength and stamina todo this but...there aren't really any ah its kinda monotone-like. theres not much to it. Don't get me wrong love the instrument but ive heard better.

  • @trolltrumman
    @trolltrumman 16 лет назад

    Yeah, well Stephen Kent is a real "airplane-player" tho, nothing like the traditional, aboriginal, fast-tounged players you and I prolly love more.
    Check out ididjaustralias vids for MUCH better play imho.

  • @Cre8iveSignWorks
    @Cre8iveSignWorks 11 лет назад

    thats not true at all.....you dont need lung power...u just need circular breathing
