This tutorial is still valid, the only thing that changed nowadays is the unlock process. It is way more difficult to unlock a Xiaomi device than it was before. Usually, you need an extra service for it, where we use www.ncunlock.com. But it is quite expansive to unlock today.

We will show you how to install the official global firmware on an (unlocked) Xiaomi. Using the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, you can easily turn your device into a global device with Mi Flash and the latest global firmware. The tutorial is really simple and easy to understand for everyone.

Hi, I've got a bricked Xiaomi 11T Pro. I'm able to get into fastboot mode, but that is it, i.e. flashing does not work since it is not unlocked. Do you happen to know, whether an EDL cable would work, so I can get around the boot lock? Also, is there a way of saving the user data section on the bricked device when flashing?

i was doing like what you did but after i put the phone into fastboot mode and connect the usb cap and restart the phone, i see the words "press any key to shutdown"
also the computer does not receive the connection to my phone anymore

usually, than some drivers are missing. Try to click on the miflash app on settings and install drivers or try another pc

Hello, I have a problem with downloading the firmware because my Redmi model is not on the list to choose from. There are just similar models with different ram values. My phone is "xiaomi redmi note 11S 6G" and it is not in the list, the closest phone to my model is "xiaomi redmi note 11S 5G". What should I do? Should I download the firmware for this model?
Sorry, we don't sell Redmi Note's so it isn't our experiences devices, but should work. But if it is just similar, I wouln't flash it.

@@Tradingshenzhen when you click on the driver option and then install , an error is the outcome . When you press continue and then flash. It fails.
@@petejackson7976 ok, driver is sometimes like this, depends on your drivers on the pc and the version of the app. But it shouldn't fail. Does the device still work, does it fail straight from the beginning or after it flashed. As usually, nowdays it runs through, till the end and is finsihed, but says FAIL at the end, which doesn't have to say anything, as it was still ok. Usually it restarts and is fine.

yes, no problem. But please make a backup before. As sometimes it wasn't perfect and specially when you coming from a different rom, it will cause problems

How can I fix error:Writing 'super'? I think the problem might be that my phone doesn't have that partition but I'm not sure. I know that I have the file "super.img" I even tried different roms and different versions of miflash I even tried just through platform-tools by opening flash-all and still the same error. I even tried QFL but I still get this error even after trying with Linux I still get the same error so please help me. If it's because of my phone how can I fix this? I have access only to fastboot and EDL mode but idk how to flash through EDL I always get errors.
usually this appears on Oppo devies, as there is one more setting, that has to be activated or which devices do you want to flash?

Not really, when it is like this, you need the help of a professional guy, who has a technican XIAOMI account. usually, they are some on Telegram, mostly Indian guys. try ncunlock.com

Yes, if you want Saftynet PASS, Xiaomi.eu, not Global Firmware.
How to fix the error at the end?
no need to, it is normal, as this rom you are installing is not the original one of the phone, so usually it comes up and everything works flawless. But remember, not to lock the phone with a global or different rom, this bricks the phone.

Usually, it comes up, when you got a newer version compare to the one, you want to install.

well... i flashed it and 1 second later it failed. I thought that im finished and unplugged it and now im stuck in fastboot. i pressed the powerbutton and the volume button and the the mi logo showed up and switched to fastboot. now im stucked

When you lock and have installed a Rom that wasn't the original one. So Chinese phone Chinese Rom, than it is bricked and only xiaomi can fix it

where comes the error, when it comes after flashing, it is ok, device reboots and everything is fine. When it comes on the beginning, strange, maybe wrong Firmware version, as the device has a pre-check
@@Tradingshenzhen thank u for taking the time to reply. After clicking flash right away it loads for 2 or 3 seconds then gives that error. My phone is version 14.0.16 tmacnxm and im trying to switch to 14.0.1 global version.
@@mohamedshalabi5733 strange, can be, because maybe 14.0.1 is lower than the 0.16 and downgrades are not so good possible, there is a downgrade proteciotn, but you are switching to a complete different Rom. There is usually a log file in the folder, try to open it

Sorry, this should work also on a Redmi Note, when it is unlocked, you could flash any firmware. But we don't sell Redmi Notes, so not sure, but all Xiaomi devices are the same.
Hello. I had a phone with CN rom installed on it (stock). I installed EU rom. Can I safely lock bootloader again?
Locking bootloader gives you nothing. BL has 3 states: locked, unlocked and relocked. After locking it again, you'll get a "relocked" status. From deeper understanding, there's a context named init or like that, and it has the highest permission level in the OS. That's what magisk is using btw. After unlocking the BL for the first time the encryption of all your data is removed, and it's impossible to get it back. After relocking, you just restrict your phone to do flashing and that's it. Any person can put a backdoor on your phone if they have direct access to it (like if you lost your phone etc.). Using that context, they can bypass any protection. So to be able to flash your phone after bad update, I recommend you to not lock BL. Or be ready to pay 20-25$ for an EDL account

I was asking because some apps still recognized that my phone was rooted (I thought locking BL would fix it), but for some reason this 'issue' resolved itself automatically. Now that you mentioned the points above, I'm glad I just kept BL unlocked

Yes, it fails, because it is unlocked. Xiaomi.eu has some tricks in the Rom to fix it.

Don't think that you get call recording with global, as outsite of China it isn't allowed due to data privacy. An dno, you can't lock a phone, which doesn't have the firmware it supposed to have.

No, has to be unlocked. We got a tutorial but with new Hyper OS it got more difficult.

it should keep data, but only when you have been on the same rom before, so not switching from China to Global or Xiaomi.eu

Oh im curious which one is better for the 13 Ultra the Global or the xiomi eu firmware?? Its intresting to see if how the versions work out. Coz with Global firmware other than the GPay other banking apps from other regions,...might NOT work. It appears that from my understanding GPay and surely other banking apps will work with Xiomi EU firmware. And how about android auto, will that one work on Global or the Xiomi EU firmware which is i think based on the China Firmware which does not have Playstore, Gpay and Android auto. Well this might not be such an issue if the 13 Ultra had release in places like India & the wider ASEAN region.
But its good for you guys to make a sale on this limited availability i think. Great tutorial you got there at least you were kind enough to share it on English so it can be accessible to places where the phone is not officially avialable. 👍🏼👍🏼

Depends. If you want to flash with PC, extract it. If you want to update on the smartphone, don't extract it.

Yes, but only the original rom, so in a Chinese device, China Rom. Only this can be than locked. Everything else will brick the device.
