My own issue is that I'm having 'cannot erase in locked mode' not exactly the phrase but something like that, looked about it and I found out its the bootloader that is locked. Now do I unlock the bootloader? the phone is Redmi 7A (pine)

Flash timeout is usually connected to USB drivers, Comm port, cable and corrupted firmware and in some cases fault phone. If you can try using another system to flash it or another port or cable

Hello brother, my device ( Redmi Note 11 global (spes) ) is boot looping in fast boot mode, even if i power it off or restart it goes in fastboot again, and also i had find my device turned on, so even using edl and auth account it is giving errors in flash, any idea how to get rid of find my device ? And my only option is either fastboot or edl, it cannot go to recovery as well
This is beyond my knowledge. If EDL and Fastboot fails, just go to service center.

My phone not rebooting to recovery and fastboot. Only EDL option boot.
My phone only bootloops. My bootloader is unlocked.
Before some months, my bootloader and GUID partitions accidentally erased because of experiments and I was unable to flash it using my computer so I flashed it once using ufi box. My phone is completely repaired but now don't know what problem my phone only bootloops.
No fastboot no recovery. Only EDL can be booted. My phone detected in mi flash tool but flashtool give exception error.
Can you please help me recover it.
Other problems- battery is not original because battery was already dead and currently new battery also like dead.

At this point I'll suggest you go for a new phone. A lot of things in the partition table has been altered but if you can flash EDL then try. But that is not a guarantee that this current problem won't repeat again in the near future

All drivers from my MiFlash returns "result False,GetLastWin32Error Unknown error (0xe000022f)" on installing attempt. I'm trying to find solution about why MiFlash drivers can't install, but all solutions just solving trouble with "log" folder. Can you help me, please?
From the googling I have impression that all this usb-drivers problems is only on Win10x64, is it really signature problem for Win10?
Problem solved by itself, today I just turned on my PC and my phone appeared in MiFlash, I guess it just needed an hard reset, not just reboot, because yesterday I rebooted PC few times after drivers installing, but it didn't help. Thank you anyway, your video is very useful. I wish you best.

Please help me. Last night I updated TWRP and now phone won't turn on. It goes automatically into recovery. I tried restoring backup, flashing official firmware through recovery, after reboot it went to recovery. Tried using flash tool and it hangs. 1500 sec at this moment. Once my phone is plugged it sounds like I am plug in and out the USB constantly. But nobody is playing with the USB. Any ideas.
Did you check device manager while. You were doing that? Might be USB debugging drivers issue

But then I get this message where it says that my account is not authorized for this operation. How can I solve this? Please help
There are type of flashing (EDL) that requires an Authorized Mi account. You can try again or look for someone who has Authorized MI account to assist you

Please help i already tried your methods and the miflash version you're using i even tried with ADB through CMD and whenever i execute the command "fastboot devices" it automatically disconnects im seeing how i enter fastboot mode and in "device manager" it detects the drivers but as i said before every time i press refresh or actually try to flash the device it disconnects
Btw i already have a rooted device so idk that might be the problem?
It seems like something has messed up the partition table. What Rom is the device currently on? You may need to flash a MIUI Rom via custom Recovery and afterwards try again with flash tool. If that doesn't work you'll have to try EDL mode flashing for your device

At 6:46 in this video, you mention installing all of the usb drivers. My problem is that I cannot seem to perform this step successfully, because as soon as I click on "Install" button inside the "Drivers" submenu, the button turns to "Wait...." for few seconds, and then the program just closes/shutdowns/crashes on its own out of nowhere without any confirmation or popup window. Does anyone know why the drivers do not want to install successfully? I run MiFlashTool as administrator, I have created the "log" folder, etc... So, I don't know what is wrong with this tool or my steps... 🤔🤔🤔 Anywho, thanks for the video and hopefully someone can help to resolve this issue. 😎😉
Do you have other adb or fastboot usb drivers installed before in the system? You can also try using usb deview or other driver uninstaller to uninstall previous usb drivers. If that doesn't work just try using Miflash tool on another system. There are some PC or Laptops that won't just work well with adb drivers.

I used all 3 methods presented in "How to Install Android ADB and Fastboot Drivers Windows | Latest Tutorial 2023" YT video by PGB YT channel to install all the necessary drivers. Ok, thanks for the tip with uninstalling previous drivers. But, I just wanted the Mi Flash Tool to confirm that I have all the necessary drivers installed already or to overwrite the exiting drivers in my system, with more suitable ones or something along those lines... 😄 I was thinking that this is how it works with the Mi Flash Tool... 😄 Ok, using the tool on another system is also an option, but for now, I want to stick to one system, I don't want to make a mess on all my computers/laptops. 😆 I understand that some computer system configurations may not work as well as others in certain scenarios. My system model is "MS-7816". I have used a MSI motherboard to build my gaming PC back in 2014. 😄😎😉

No, if you are able to boot up the Rom you flashed successfully. Checkpoint errors are more like log notifications nothing critical

Flash time out with number after it is talking about serial comm ports. You may have to try using another port, another USB cable or reinstall or update your ADB drivers. It can also be from the device

If the error was 'checkpoint' error then you are good to go. Keep using the Global Rom. Not all errors are critical

When your phones is connected, go to device manager and see if the fastboot or adb drivers are well installed. Make sure you are using the stock cable

It could happen. You might have to update USB drivers or change the USB chord

@@SmartDepot boot loader was unlock, from my little findings, the first user did not log out before the seller flashed new ROM, so when I try to update I get error message like " you don't have permission to access the update log,. Make sure the account you signed in with has the required permissions"
@@SmartDepot I can not install twrp , can not update and can not flash with mi flash tool, when the phone boot it shows bootloader unlocked signed all developer option turn on and showing unlocked, so it's the first user that did not signed out befor flashing that is causing the problem.

That is simple to understand. Try downloading the firmware from another source and make sure that what you downloaded is for your device. Mismatch happens when the partition record, product ID, product model in your phone different from the record in the Rom

You can't flash a phone with locked bootloader with Mi flash tool. You have to unlock bootloader first

What error did you get? If it is check point error you are good to go. Just watch the video till the end I explained how to make such error not to show up again.

Damn dude get to the point! As for the mi flash tool being SOOOOOOO hard to find the right version, use the updater to get the latest version DUH! Also, it's XiaomI as in shaoMEE not shaoMY so it's a MEE account not MY account and flash tool etc.

Flash firmware for your phone original region and see if it works

Is your device Chinese model or there is a model for Zimbabwe apart from global model?

That's the issue! Chinese models has limited LTE Bands and even if you flash a global Rom, you might still face network issues due to modem (Hardware) limitations. The only option is to flash Chinese Firmware after flashing global Rom to see if the network improves. If it doesn't, then go back to Chinese Rom

A combination of problems can cause that. From drivers to connecting cables to using older phone with newer mi flash or problems with the phone. You'll have to give more details for me to know if I can diagnose the problem

You've got to give me more information. Is the phone bootloader unlocked? What version of Mi Flash tool are you using, what device are you flashing, did you read the log messages in the log folder?

You have to unlock bootloader first before flashing is allowed. I've also done a video on that. Also note that you'll have to wait up to one week after applying for bootloader unlock for most Xiaomi devices

You are likely flashing Global Rom on A Chinese variant or model. Years back it used to work but it seems Xiaomi are now detecting the hardware restrictions or limitations in the Chinese model as the global modem firmware won't be able to drive Chinese modem hardware

You'll need to check the log folder 📂 for more information on the cause of the timeout. Is the device not responding or is it coming from drivers or USB cable.

You have to give me more details - the phone you are flashing and the OS versions or MIUI version that you are dealing with. The error message points out to Anti rollback resistance which can happen if you want to flash and relock bootloader with a lower version than the phone came with out of the box. You may also have to use older Mi flash tools that doesn't have anti rollback monitors. Just give me more details let's see
