All xiaomi phone need to Unlock bootloader first. And for install EU Rom, u need to change the slot, to A slot. Because, all of Poco phone that use global rom is using B Slot.

Right now there isn't a Twrp for 12s ultra and Rom, but when it comes out, it will work.

You should run "fastboot boot yourtwrpname.img" after go to advanced and install current twrp

When is the time to wipe data? Before ROM installation or after ROM installation?
Doesn't really matter. If you do before, you have to copy the Rom after that or you can do it after finished installation.

Strange, ist this than the official mi recovery or Twrp? If mi recovery, than Twrp was gone after flash. You have to install it again.
