Mine says unable to update to unofficial rom package but it is the file I downloaded from the updater then disappeared and I found it again on the downloads
Xiaomi do recall some Roms if there are bugs. Join Telegram group of your Model and you may find better links5

Am using redmi note 9 pro.. am stock on MIUI 12.0.3, I no longer receive updates notifications since November 2021 I have tried this method and nothing seems to be working.. what could be the issue thanks
Do you have unlocked bootloader? Can you try updating the updater app? It is up to uninstall latest update and try again. Have you tried using VPN? Xiaomi can be mysterious from time to time

Try to uninstall updater app latest updates and clean app data. If that doesn't help try using VPN

you will have to go into android development and it will require about 2 to 3 different programs

@@SmartDepot I would not be qualified to judge! :-D Just updated from MIUI 14 to HyperOS (I flashed via MiFlash using HyperOS Fastboot rom). Gave the phone to my son today, let him play around. ;-)

I got an OTA update for Redmi Note 8 but it can't install it says "can't verify update" so how should go on about it?
It's probably have been withdrawn maybe due to bugs. Once Xiaomi marks any update as faulty, it won't pass verification. You'll have to wait for another update.

@@SmartDepot I went to the website you shared in the description. Chose my phone model and then proceeded to stable ROM (global). After downloading and doing the steps you did,it said "unofficial ROM" I don't know the difference between OTA and ROM,but I think it's official
@@SmartDepot now I'll change the region to USA and then do the same. Maybe it's a region problem. Cuz for turkey they put miui 14.03,not OS, and i bought my phone in turkey.
so the site put 14.03 for turkey, os is for global versions. although my phone says my miui 14.03 is global,maybe because my phone is bought in turkey, the system doesnt let me update to global os? i really dont know i'm just guessing at this point

Xiaomi pulled back the initial MIUI 13 UPDATE For Redmi K40 (Poco F3 Chinese version). It requires unlock bootloader to install Roms not meant for your device model or region

Hi, I tried to update my current rom which is India rom to global rom. I get a message "couldn't verify update package. Update via USB instead." Do you have a video as a solution to this?
You can't switch regions Roms with stock recovery and locked bootloader. You can unlock bootloader and then switch any regional ROM you want. I've done videos of unlocking bootloader and flashing fastboot and recovery Roms

Thanks got those options, but now it says the pdate is in beta testing make sure you've signed in with a Beta testing account.
Pilot Testers Rom is very common for Xiaomi, it requires a beta tester account. If Pilot Rom is out, the public release will be out in a week or two except there is a fatal error

Via USB means adb sideload. It will still require the same update package but this time it happens straight from recovery. Do you have unlocked bootloader?

If you are updating the same MIUI region from recovery then no problem, your data will be intact.

That can be done with adb sideload via recovery. However, you will still get the same package warning ⚠

Xiaomi blocks many Roms that are buggy few days after releasing it. If you are trying to flash such Roms via recovery or adb, verification will still fail for locked bootloaders. It will flash if you have an unlocked bootloader and flashing fastboot Rom

It is not. If your bootloader is locked it won't install. To switch regional Roms, you'll have to unlock bootloader first. I already done a video about it

That is due to MD5 checksum mismatch. Try using a download manager to re-download the ROM or make sure that you downloaded the official Rom zip

@@SmartDepot first it was zip file in folder called downloaded rom and it was saying incorrect path so i tried moving zip file from that folder but still says wrong path
