In the video, we explained how to go about it. First, You need to have an unlocked bootloader before you can use the Mi flash tool. You have to use Xiaomi Mi Flash Tool to flash Redmi K40 Fastboot Rom. Then, you can update to MIUI 13 with recovery Rom.

I get the argument. Unfortunately, only TWRP by SKKK can decrypt A12 custom Roms. You can go directly now with MIUI 13 fastboot Rom. It's been o'mut for some time now.

Can I ask what custom rom do use for POCO F3? Do you still use ancient? I am looking for the most stable with very few bugs and long battery life.
Used quite a few. If you are a MIUI fan, use Xiaomi eu stable. I am currently using Ancient OS 6.1 Android 12 and I'll recommend it. Very stable, great battery life and plenty customizations

@@JerwinAngelo Just flash fw then rom then format data then reboot then flash gapps if u want gapps in or if rom is vanilla, custom kernel if u want then magisk then reboot

Did you clear app cache? Try updating the apps from Google play store or reinstall them from playstore

You have to download 12.5.7 if it is available for your device region

Most likely they discontinued the update. But you can go to settings, manage apps, updater app, clear app data, uninstall update and try again to update it

will if i reset my poco f3 remove miui 13? (if so, will it be less fluid?)
It wouldn't remove MIUI 13 but the reset might remove some bugs like higher battery drain, lags etc

No, the MIUI 13 Beta for F3 that was suspended didn't have 120Hz only 60Hz. Good news is Xiaomi eu MIUI13 stable beta supports 120Hz so, it should be available for the global updates
just got my poco f3 and its just miui 12.5.5 version how upgrade this one hope you can help 😞
What model? Int'l or Indian? You should use it a bit before updating. Battery life in the new update is a bit worse than 12.5.5
But some new features can compensate for that

Just use it for a week or two before updating so you can know if the upgrade is better or worse in everything. Also, MIUI 13 stable update is around the corner.

Which Rom are you currently using? You need to be on Latest Stable MIUI 12.5.19 for Redmi K40 or higher (Beta) for it to work

It won't work on 12.5.7 you'll have to wait until mid January next year. Xiaomi releases MIUI first for China Versions of phones then global comes later

Really sad. I purchased Nova Prime many years ago and it sad that if I use it on MIUI devices I can't use gesture
@@SmartDepot I have a workaround in mind, are you familiar with the adb command that force disable the nvg bar? The flaw of that method is that you have to run the command on every boot
Hence I used the app tasker to auto execute the command on every boot without connecting to a pc, and it works on miui 12 (redmi note 9 pro, lawnchair 12 launcher) , fingers crossed that it works on miui 13 as well, I will be getting my hands on the Xiaomi 12 pro in a few days time
Edit: I also use this with conjunction with FNG (third party gesture app), this is the only non root way to do it

Poco F3 proximity sensor is a mess in Stock MIUI 12.5.3 they improve it a bit on 12.5.6 but Xiaomi eu Roms and other custom Roms managed to out perform Stock MIUI in the proximity sensor department.
It's more of software tuning issue. Replacement may not be the best option though.

I used Realme X2 before Poco F3. I enjoyed my experience with Realme X2 more than Poco F3. GT2 will give you a better software experience though.

You'll have to upgrade from MIUI 12.5 to 13. As at the time I made the video only fastboot Rom was released (tgz format) and was later recalled after 3 days. It's obvious you haven't used mi flash tool before else you would have known that .tgz is for fastboot Roms flashable with mi flash tool or fastboot

Normally, we use Any Android update 7 - 10 days before we review reasons:
New Android updates could take up to 3-4 days to optimize. Some bugs won't show up until you have used the phone for a week.

Did you finish watching the video before downloading? It's only fastboot Rom that was released and 3 days later Xiaomi canceled the updates due to bugs

Awwsshhh! I almost bought the X3 but F3 AMOLED screen swaved me. It turns out F3 Screens are plaqued with red or green tint issues... 😂
