I'm running the Victory 4x4 bed stiffeners on my 2d Gen Tacoma. Those of you asking if you should install them with the bed rack and stuff on (fully loaded) I don't believe it matters as the stiffeners are just 90 degree corner braces in the simplest form. As long as your bed walls are square to the bed floor it shouldn't matter.
You provided a link to R4T for the stiffeners - what that site shows is different than what we see you installing in this video - what happened since 5/13/20? I liked that fact that what I see you installing goes full height - R4T's current version does not.
The ones on your website and the link you give , does not show the exact same stiffeners. It does not go up as high 😒 If I order off your website , how do I know I will get the ones in video here ?
You need it, don't need it, whatever. All tho it is a nice piece to add, it does get in the way a lil bit especially when you need your truck for work, and need it to be flat and flush as much as possible. Though, you'd only need this if your bed is rusted to shit, and is flexing, as long as you got your tail gate It'll be total fine especially for a 16-20 taco... as thats where it gets most of its support. Though I'd definitely pick one up, if there is one a lot more slicker.
Great video but never thought the poly beds would bend, but would actually crack? Good info, might have to put some on mine. Were and how much? Could not find little b's bed stiffeners on google?!
I don't forsee myself ever changing bed stiffeners BUT if someone does, wouldn't it be better to do so without the added weight on the bed (rack/rtt etc)?
I haul my can am outlander 570 quad on my 3rd gen short Bed a lot. Total weight is about 700 pounds. Should I install stiffeners? Also when loading the quad I ride up with ramps on my tailgate. With me and the quad it would be about 900 pounds on the tailgate. Is this bad? And also if so what can I do about it?
Show some proof that beds will bow over time. I've only ever seen one example on a 2nd gen. Be better than just spreading fear to sell your products. There's still use for these as additional tie downs, and MAYBE they MAY help your bed from bowing but there's absolutely no proof that will happen with the weight of a topper or tent. Toyota engineers didn't cheap out of not putting on one 90 degree piece of metal that means the difference of a bowing and non-bowing bed.
Looking to get into overlanding, and stumbled upon this channel. Have a similar truck. A 2015 access cab tacoma. Had a couple of questions though. Is that uptop truss bed rack compatible with my model along with these stiffners?
If you want to use a bed extender, there are some things you have to do to make it work. The bed extenders are originally designed to be placed directly onto the bedside. What you can do is fab up a piece that bolts to the bed stiffeners and have the bed extender bolt to that new item. I've done that with the ATH stiffeners and the OEM extender. From the looks of it here, you could still find a way to bolt a bracket to these to achieve the same result.
Folks, please pay mind when he says you might need a big enough wrench for the bed bolts. The one on the left for me was nasty, I almost stripped the bolt. Overall, shout out to Taco Twonz, nice touch on the stiffeners. Cant wait to crack my first soda pop!
Just ordered these thinking I got the ones you had. Sadly it doesn’t have the curved angle piece towards the top.
Sorry, this is an old video. We have updated the bed stiffeners. This one is a bit bulky.
Just tried getting that type of stiffeners and I can't find that one. Really liked the look of that stiffeners
Where can I get that type of bed stiffeners or do they not make them anymore
are you going to make more, currently sold out?
Do these stiffiners stop the bed cluncking ? My truck bed definitely shakes over bumps
It will definitely help the shake. Not sure about the clunk. What is causing the noise?

They have since been updated and improved
@@Runnin4Tacos I'm not convinced that shorter height is an improvement.
I was looking at the website and I was gonna put my order in then I notice. The one in the video looks different from the website.
It is a new design
@@Runnin4Tacos are they in stock right now? Or there is a waiting lead time when order
Great information, and the camera work is getting better, thank you much.
Great video. Thanks for posting.
If this truck had Total Chaos bed stiffners, why change and add more holes to the bed?
Kinda like the cali raised led stiffeners on my 2014, but with a bottle opener. Nice.

TacoTwonz! Cool video and very helpful. Can you please tell me the length of the 16mm D-ring replacement bolt you used?!?
Might be my next mod, ordered the pod lights from you guys not long ago and can’t wait to instal them! 😁

Awesome write up, guys. I've been eyeballing these for mine for a little while now. Will pull the trigger soon!
Truck looks awesome!
So before I get a rooftop tent I should definitely get some of these?
I've been waiting to see if the website would be selling the same brackets but still no go...
Was these just a custom job for you?
We do sell them, link should be in the description
I checked the one sold on the website and not built the same as the in your video.
Do the rotopax on the mid height get in the way of your tent
No it doesn't
What ever happen to the other twon brother????
My biggest question is why remove something that was working? Was there a issue?
No issue, there are lots of other types to show our viewers so that's why we replace parts
More 4Runner videos please☺️👍
Great video but never thought the poly beds would bend, but would actually crack? Good info, might have to put some on mine. Were and how much? Could not find little b's bed stiffeners on google?!
We have them on our website!

I would recommend bed stiffeners if you're putting stress on your bedsides
Nice. Just quick question what is the rack set up you use for the Ikamper. Cheers
It’s the TRUSS Bed Rack by UpTOP Overland.
The ones you are using in the video are different from the ones you have listed in your bio.. ?
New design
Do they have a link for the new ones man?
How come you didnt like the Total Chaos bed stiffeners?
It's similar, this one has a bottle opener though 🍻

He did mention that the tailgate is the bed stiffener but if you’re running with that gate open with rtt/over bed weight that’s when they’ll help.
3rd gen Tacoma = definitely need bed stiffeners
This is beast bro,how much you spend on that monster.
Thanks, I lost track to be honest haha
So what is different about the 20-21 Tacomas that makes these stiffeners incompatible?
Nothing, we just haven't updated the title
Looking to get into overlanding, and stumbled upon this channel. Have a similar truck. A 2015 access cab tacoma. Had a couple of questions though. Is that uptop truss bed rack compatible with my model along with these stiffners?
The TRUSS is but the bed stiffeners are not
After you punch, which drill bit are you using?
I forget but you can check the size by matching it with the hole or bolt
Webpage says it doesn’t fit 2020 models???
I wonder if these stiffners will cause an issue with the install of a flip or roll up bed cover?
Tell me about the thing your spare tire is mounted on. I need that.
Rigd ultraswing. Just got one with the table. I love it! Running for tacos website has them.
Leon Soto do i need a new back bumper?
You guys gonna have the TRD PRO grille in stock soon?
Hey guys what bracing would you recommend for the trucks frame for preventative future sagging? Hope I got that right.
Sagging on the frame?
Hi, do you have any video explaining the mirror link for the factory radio? thanks
Unfortunately, not
So let me ask, how come you switch from total Chaos to these?? Just for the bottle opener? 😂
What about overlanding? I put a sport bar on my bed should I be thinking about these?
Are they compatible with tonneau covers?
Yes, I have the bakflip and it works.
Thank you this is what I was wondering!
Can you install it without drilling the holes by just using the 3 bolts already there?
Why change bed stiffener brand?. Where the total chaos not good🤔.
Change is good
They sell the lil b fabbed ones on their website. This is part of their marketing.
Does it make a difference putting the new stiffeners on while there’s weight on
the rack?
4:57 What Center Punch Tool did you use? was it good?
You can get it pretty much any hardware store, in not sure what brand but yes it helps a lot
What’s in the bed in this video ?
A Dometic slide
Damn out of stock. How much are these running?
Can you still use the bed extender

will it be strong enough if i don't want to drill into the side bed?
No love for us 2nd gen owners?
nice video! voodoobluetacolife19💙🌮
I am with "HRB Emails" I see a lot of guys installing these, but zero evidence that these beds bow out. Show some pics..
Are this made out of steel?
Folks, please pay mind when he says you might need a big enough wrench for the bed bolts. The one on the left for me was nasty, I almost stripped the bolt. Overall, shout out to Taco Twonz, nice touch on the stiffeners. Cant wait to crack my first soda pop!
