Ohhh with the boots they need a switch so when your foot is down it is red and when you lift your foot it turns red. Then it looks like the magnet is turning on and off like in the movie. This will be a cool cosplay.
Dude thats sick. Please keep up updated on build on this. Hate when someone does a video of gonna build this, and ya get first video, and then nothing else EVER. Like something new comes into play and forget about that project all together.
ohhh i'm 1000% adhd brain over here when it comes to projects but this one is way too cool to not keep working on. Already started modeling some of the other parts :)
Just a friendly little tip for next time: it would have been easier to sand the pieces smooth before gluing them together. You're gonna have a heck of a time sanding that faceplate smooth with it recessed like that
Are you going to follow the 501st CRL of the Range Trooper guidelines? I recommend checking it out! There, you have every detail that the Range Trooper should have. If you're going to spend more than 6 months on it, it's better to do it good than to freestyle it!
I think it'll be cool to connect the legs up to an accelerometer, so the lights turn off on and on mimicking the magnets turning off and on with your foot falls
That's awesome! Members of the 501st could probably help with the rest of the files and soft parts. They specialize in screen accurate Star Wars costumes. I will be following this closely! Great job so far!
Oh, a Range or Snow Trooper walking around in the Lake Effect snow would be Awesome and get some WTF looks Hmm, I am North of the Tug Hill Plataeu/ Watertown Now if it was feasable to build./ afford to a 1/3 scale AT-AT
Might be worth a look to check the 501st for reference material and how they build the costumes. It's listed under the "Blizzard Force" detachment. Good luck with the build!
@@UncleJessy Absolutely! They have a website for Blizzard Force that you can register for free with, to see other peoples build threads and such, so lots and lots of information available
I made one of those helmets last year, and I literally just started looking into making the full suit a few days ago. There's a facebook group or two with a couple people that have made full costumes
Sick! I love the range trooper, can't wait to see how it turns out! I've designed and printed a Snow trooper a few years back and it was a lot of fun. The range trooper and snow trooper have a lot in common so if you would like the files as a starting point of even just for ref in 3d, I can send them your way!
Sean Fields helmet files, excellent I have that as well. Watching with interest as I want to do this costume as well once I finish my scarif and patrol trooper suits
Even though I hate Star Wars, those boots looks cool. I know how to 3D print those boots with magnets and Velcro inside, to make the boots attach to a body suit, so you can put them on and remove easily.
That's awesome. Looks great. Should do a short video of each of your different magneto helmets. I have 4 different ones printed now. Sure you got more then that.
This is very cool! I've had my Neptune 4 plus for about a year now and it's been great! Thanks for recommending it! Now I just need to figure out how to update the software because I can't tell what I'm doing wrong with the instructions on their website 😅
Just started printing my Hell Diver cosplay this week. Had a malfunction on my kobra max and had to restart from scratch. Yes I know anycubic isn't the best but for me and cosplay, I wanted volume size. At the time it was the biggest printer available.
a fun costume, very little reference for the costume, alot of it was custom made so there are limited avaliable parts on shelves. we are lucky we see the coat in mando scene when he boards at the space port.
hi guys whats the best 3D printer for a beginner, cheapest possible and user up-gradable if possible. only want to deal with plastic and not the difficulty of resin. This will be for learning and printing small toys like the one in the dummy video (Dummy 13). Thanks
For sure. Stay putting out the great content, thanks for inspiration to push further on creativity and learn new skills. And hopefully I can get the bravery to post content like you. ❤️
I would have printed the helmet in black then painted it white. Would make doing the weathering on it much easier just sand through the paint and expose the black underneath.
Hey uncle Jessie! I love your work and it really inspired me to print more. I got an Neptune 4 max too but something went wrong with the klipper one day and I have to replace the eMMC card. Do you have any recommendations on how I can restore the klipper on it? Or maybe even js get the printer operational?
So, is the tilt release feature on the Saturn 4 Ultra, the game changer that it appears to be? I just got my first resin printer, the GKtwo, a year ago, but I've been eyeing this one since it was released.
it would be pretty dang expensive but it would be cool if you used electromagnets inside of the boots and then you could use a switch to turn them on and off🤣
I got my very first one years ago... IM MK3 Battledamaged - on the shelf behind me ;) I now have .... a few 🤣 I need to get a display case setup in my studio office
I really hope you see this, I want to grow my channel by doing a review of a printer, however I am still small and want to know out of the companies you have worked with which one is most likely to send me a printer at only 12k subscribers. Thank you!
Freaking awesome!! Hi I'm Michael. I recently purchased a Neptune 4 Max. I also recently joined your Patreon so I could get your print profiles for it for Orca. I downloaded the files but do not know how to actually use them in Orca. Can you please help me? I've tried messaging you on Patreon and Instagram and have gotten no response. Sincerely a big fan that needs your help
the Look of the trooper is great. Can't wait to see the finished Cosplay!!!!
I mean ya gotta do a shoveling the driveway vid when it’s done. Wearing it of course.
not only is this trooper unique, it also looks way more comfy than a standard stormtrooper. Good choice
Ohhh with the boots they need a switch so when your foot is down it is red and when you lift your foot it turns red. Then it looks like the magnet is turning on and off like in the movie. This will be a cool cosplay.

stoked to watch the progress on this!
These Troopers will be in the new series of Andor (S2) coming in April , come on Uncle Jessy you can do it in time for the new season
No way!!! For real?!?!
@@UncleJessy For real man 😁, there are some upcoming black series figures coming of them with a SW version of a M9 Bazooka
@@UncleJessy Yeap. They won't be wearing their magnetic boots from SOLO, regular boots.
Really cool project and those boots do look so awesome! I love that helmet stand also
Just a friendly little tip for next time: it would have been easier to sand the pieces smooth before gluing them together. You're gonna have a heck of a time sanding that faceplate smooth with it recessed like that
so stoked for this project man, can't wait to see how this goes for you!
Can't wait to see your progress💚🇬🇧🌱
Dang, off to a great start!
thank you sir!
Looks amazing. Looking forward to your progress with this project. 👍
Super cool . Keep us updated please 🙏

Can't wait, beautiful Side Show trooper!
3 years later… I’m finally finishing my Range Trooper CosPlay!…… lol, love your vids Unc!!
😊so cool planning do this too
This is a cool idea. Looking forward to future videos.
Sweet job
Awesome project I'm preparing to do an Ironman...💚🇬🇧🌱
I love the range trooper look

Love the idea of this, been needing motivation to start a space Marine cosplay
Oh man now that is a BIG project
@@UncleJessy I know, looking at the scale of the props is already daunting enough lol

Amazing man! Such an underrated film and trooper design. I love this and the patrol trooper from the same film. My goal is to do that one this year.
Sean Fields helmet files, excellent I have that as well. Watching with interest as I want to do this costume as well once I finish my scarif and patrol trooper suits
Looks cool, have thought about doing a remnant stormtrooper or a OG viper pilot from the OG BSG, just need a spare day in the week 😂
Jess when you make the boots put in red and blue lights for the mags when you lift your feet that would be cool
Can't wait!
Ambitious you are. I'm interested to see how it ends up, but there is no way I'd ever tackle something like that.
Even though I hate Star Wars, those boots looks cool. I know how to 3D print those boots with magnets and Velcro inside, to make the boots attach to a body suit, so you can put them on and remove easily.
I wish my Neptune 4 worked that well. I just got done replacing the motherboard on mine and am fully expecting it to break again in the future 😂
That's awesome. Looks great. Should do a short video of each of your different magneto helmets. I have 4 different ones printed now. Sure you got more then that.
Awesomeness. Really not a lot of Ranger Troopers out there.
Plenty of room, but room for padding, you'll want some of that in there!

I thought about doing this costume before, and now that you're doing it ,I might go ahead and build it for Dragon Con 2025.
Big chonky boot boys!
lowkey im so excited
thanks me too!
Amazing
Good luck with the boots buddy
clunk clunk going to be fun to build
I love the shoretroopers from rogue one and Andor
Hope the final result turns out as you expected
When we print helmets we use visors of various colors from Amazon
Helmet looks like the Halo ROD helmet! Very cool character, hopefully it’s not too hot!
I 3D printed a tie pilot and ATAT driver cosplay a couple of years ago took a a couple of months to do only work on it in my spare time now and again.
Hey you know would be a good idea is if you put a sensor in the bottom of the boot and then it changes colors 🥾
Storm trooper and blink and you miss it. I see what you did there :D
You definitely want the boots to have a pressure switch in the sole so the light in the heel switches red to blue.
Definitely!

Thats sick! I got back into the game as soon as they added the illuminate, which armor did you choose?
@Morbo101 Im starting with standard issue, but later down the road I'd like to make the commander body armor from the twitch drop.
@@Spacemarinetroy those are sick, eventually I wanna make the CE-81 Juggernaut, with the Physician Helmet, I gotta get a mannequin beforehand tho🤣

Collab Idea, talk with Hacksmith about electromagnets for the boots
Ski boots maybe for the boots. then all you have to do is print and add the detail pieces to them??
If you google Range trooper the 501st has a document about all the different parts of the costume.
Those look like the Mario Mario brothers jump boots!
what filament is best for strength and rigidity to print a 3mm thick flat panel?
They're going to be in Season 2 of Andor.

Can you let me know what that light up helmet stand it? it looks great I would love to get a few!
Did you print the stand that the helmet is on?
I would have printed the helmet in black then painted it white. Would make doing the weathering on it much easier just sand through the paint and expose the black underneath.
ohhhhh I've never thought of doing it in reverse that like. I was just considering redoing the helmet and I might try that out.
What's that lighted helmet stand?

Hi! Why doesn't your import configs get saved in Orca Slicer after I exit the app?
It’s been a cold week for us rochesterians.
Wish Solo did better. I enjoyed it.
Why does the Petg sound like a styrofoam takeout container when you are handling it?
When did you start collecting Hot Toys

How many 3d printed helmets does a man need? Apparently not enough.
I’ve probably made like 10 since I started my first print in june, it’s addicting🤣
Hows it going Jesse? Hope all is well
Jesse are you going to be getting any of tge new printers for review? The Anycubic S1 looks cool
🖖👽
hurry up maybe you will have the costume ready when the new andor season drops in april
The blaster look small

Hello from Buffalo neighbor lol.
Why a whole year... you have multiple 3d printers.
Vizer looks thrift store. remake that
I might end up redoing the entire helmet but I will be vacumforming the visor. This was just temporary
