I remember this trailer on the wrap around screen and I was worried the movie wouldn't be as good as the previews. I was happily surprised of course but I remember seeing this on the big screen.

It's definitely close between the two.

I do like that it’s getting more attention and respect now than it did back then. This to me is one of the few comic book movies that stays true to the source material while making very few changes that actually benefit the film. And for that reason it’s one of my favorite comic book movies of all time

snyder cut of dawn of justice isn't bad but it still has A LOT of very bad points. Batman's execution is still piss poor. and the entire Doomsday fight is just... very disrespectful to the characters involved.

This trailer paired with double feature of Dark Knight and Pineapple Express was pretty awesome. I saw it at a midnight showing in a drive in theatre in Wisco, crazy considering we never think of 2008 and 2009 as good movie years.
My other favorite showing from that drive in was the double feature showing of Bad Boys 2 and Terminator 3 in 2003. I've never laughed so hard with so many people before, they were so bad, but fun to watch.

This is textbook how to make a trailer, there are a few that are good nowdays but nowhere near this, this is perfect. EDIT: It helps to watch the directors cut, it's much longer but captures the source material so much better.

I remember the first time I saw this in a theater. I had no idea a Watchmen movie was coming out. Five seconds in, I thought "Wow, it actually looks like Watchman". It took several more seconds to sink in. Phenomenal trailer, phenomenal movie, especially the Director's cut.
First rated R movie I watched in theaters. I had no knowledge of Watchmen before seeint it, but being a kid who loved comics, I wanted to go see it. Man, I wasn't sure exactly what I watched, but I knew it was something special. Now I've watched this movie a dozen times, and it's just one of my favorite superhero movies of all time. Snyder did a pretty amazing job adapting the graphic novel. Some changes, yes (Alien Squid, but apparently that may have been because of a lawsuit? Look into it, wild!) but man the cast & visuals are near perfect. After watching multiple videos on the Watchmen movies we nearly got prior to Snyder's, this was definitely the most accurate to the comics. I'm glad Dave Gibbons has defended this movie over the years, I do wish Alan Moore wasn't so jaded to the comics industry, but you can see his side too, I suppose.

Eh I read the book before the movie and of course the graphic novel was a lot better but the movie did it justice in my opinion. Could do without all the extra gore but hell it’s still 1000x better than most superhero movies today. I guarantee you if this film came out today it would be revolutionary.
The trailer creators understood the assignment. Still stands to be one of the best stylistic trailers ever made.

When I saw this in theaters I had such a goosebumps overload I immediately cared for this project. I had never heard this smashing pumpkins song and now it's one of my favorites. So many good things in this trailer. The movie didn't disappoint but that trailer is the best I've ever seen. God tier editing.

Funnily enough the great song on the great trailer was originally on the soundtrack for what is widely considered the worst superhero movie of all time: Batman & Robin
One of the best superhero graphic novel based movies of all time, it really gives the 80s the modern dark noir feel to it.
I knew nothing about Watchmen when I first saw this trailer. It made legit think that Dr. Manhattan must be the villain of this movie

This was definitely a lean-toward-whoever-you’re-at-the-movies-with-and-whisper-“that-looks-good” type of trailer.
This trailer paired with double feature of Dark Knight and Pineapple Express was pretty awesome. I saw it at a midnight showing in a drive in theatre in Wisco, crazy considering we never think of 2008 and 2009 as good movie years.
My other favorite showing from that drive in was the double feature showing of Bad Boys 2 and Terminator 3 in 2003. I've never laughed so hard with so many people before, they were so bad, but fun to watch.
Watched The Batman trailer with Robert Pattinson (pretty dark) then revisited this one. Both trailers represented DC well.

Read the book. It’s much better. The move sucked. That second scene red ridiculous and not in the book. All the pointless random gore was not in the book. The ending of the movie was totally different from the book and made absolutely no sense. Zack Snyder is the worst director in history.

This is textbook how to make a trailer, there are a few that are good nowdays but nowhere near this, this is perfect. EDIT: It helps to watch the directors cut, it's much longer but captures the source material so much better.

As a kid I saw this trailer for the first time in theaters before seeing The Dark Knight, and I remember my dumbass thinking Dr. Manhattan was supposed to be Silver Surfer (he's blue, Idk why my child mind thought this), but then the Watchmen title popped up and I was confused but immediately intrigued. Still one of the best trailers I've ever seen.

This has to be the greatest trailer ever. I remember seeing it for the first time. I didn't have the slightest clue what Watchmen was but after seeing this I knew I had to. I bought the Book and read it the next day. Perfect song for the trailer and the scenes synch perfectly with the words.

I remember the first time I saw this in a theater. I had no idea a Watchmen movie was coming out. Five seconds in, I thought "Wow, it actually looks like Watchman". It took several more seconds to sink in. Phenomenal trailer, phenomenal movie, especially the Director's cut.
The show was great and all... But this was a different level altogether imo. Unforgettable.
First rated R movie I watched in theaters. I had no knowledge of Watchmen before seeint it, but being a kid who loved comics, I wanted to go see it. Man, I wasn't sure exactly what I watched, but I knew it was something special. Now I've watched this movie a dozen times, and it's just one of my favorite superhero movies of all time. Snyder did a pretty amazing job adapting the graphic novel. Some changes, yes (Alien Squid, but apparently that may have been because of a lawsuit? Look into it, wild!) but man the cast & visuals are near perfect. After watching multiple videos on the Watchmen movies we nearly got prior to Snyder's, this was definitely the most accurate to the comics. I'm glad Dave Gibbons has defended this movie over the years, I do wish Alan Moore wasn't so jaded to the comics industry, but you can see his side too, I suppose.
