Not going to lie, when the guy in front turned down I thought there was no way and I had been click baited. Definitely earned my like and sub that was insane!

@@TheWildAlaskan that's awesome. snow bikes in deep powder look too slow to interest an old avid high-powered snowmobile hillclimber, but your vids have shown us what a snow bike can do on soft-topped spring hardpack. i'm completely sold on this being better than a sled with how you handled the peak. the bike can carve and cut back harder than a sled in this condition, and when it falls over it does not as easily roll down the hill like a log. now i really want a snow bike. was that first or second gear at the peak?
Just imagine. You fly to Nepal, climb to 12k feet. Acclimate for 2 weeks. Climb to base camp of Everest. Wait for a window in the weather. Make your ascent. Almost die. Multiple times. Get to the summit. It's surreal. Then some dude blasts up the ridgeline to your feet on a KTM thumper. Screams "HOLY FUCKBALLS"
@@MrPipp007 see the description for a link to the decent. I'd guess a couple cups of gas maybe, I get about 15 mpg cruising. Surely a lot less doing this type of riding though.
That header pipe must have been glowing cherry red. Amazed these have the power to get up there at that altitude. Probably only making 50% hp at that altitude. My palms started sweating near the top. Beautiful views from up there. 👍
The summit is just over 3k feet, so it wouldnt be as bogged down as it would be in the Rockies. It looks much higher than it is since the tree line in AK is about 2000'. No matter how you slice it though, this is a really impressive climb! Both rider and kit killed it.
Holy Sh*t!!!, Epic!!! Fantastic job of angling over to keep it on the power band!!! I thought, whatever you do do not fall over 'cause you won't stop till you get to the bottom, and what of avalanche? That would definitely have ruined your day, or the rest of your existence on Mother Earth. Just friggen' epic my friend. Can't be afraid of heights to make this attempt. That was so awesome. Sickest footage I've seen in a long time.
Bro... that was nutty. If that thing slid, bye bye. Some serious balls climbing that. I don't mind doing some crazy stuff but damn... No way to know if it would slide. Glad you were safe. That looked damn near vertical in some spots!
That slide definitely goes a long ways down! Had real good stability at the time time though, a points north (heliski operation) snowboarder went down it before us, we went down it then I couldn't resist trying to go back up with how much traction there was that day and how much snow we had gotten up high that year! tried it last year with the sled guys but highest anyone could get was about 3/4 of the way.
Shit gets hairy near the top. What looks like a neverending playground reveals it's terrifying nature when you get to that steepness. Incredible riding and footage. Stay safe out there.
Heney in Cordova? Guys have been going up that for years, pretty neat to see a Timbersled do it. I miss shredding the meadows on hardpack days when the sun makes it nice and firm on top. Heading up by Earl's old place on Whitshed. Brings back memories. Cool video, bro!
Most times whe something is posted that's rad, out of control, epic or whatever dumb way it gets described it is a big let down but this was truly pretty cool. Nice job man!
Inside I was rooting for you, and every time the engine RPM dropped a bit, so did my heart. Not a great place or time to have to down shift! And what a view!
That is the definition of INSANE! Amazing job of keeping the bike in power, I thought you were going to lose it for a second. The traction is next level. I have about 1/2 million street miles on liter+ sport bikes not to mention 40 years of off-road experience. I've seen these things on RUclips but failed to respect what they can do with a pro rider on one...UNTIL NOW! I might just sh_tcan my entire bucket list for a clean sheet that says "Timbersled".
@@TheWildAlaskanLiving in Phoenix Arizona we don't get much of that white stuff that oozes out of the ground like you do, but that ride clearly showed the near vertical part of that climb, and you can't pull that off in sand dirt or any other medium I can think of. I know it's a year old video but I was so blown away by it I recommended it in the comments of SXSBlog's latest video. Maybe it will get some more views.
I can hear what sounds like a rotational harmonic vibration when the revs are constant about 2/3's up. Tight chain link, damaged track, something weird in the drivetrain.
Super cool! you know its steep when you have hero snow and you have to switch back. I have had to do loops before just to gain momentum to climb higher

Its a 450sxf with a 490cc high compression bigbore kit from built motors. The bike that was in front of me is a 570cc high compression. The older platform had more room for bigger pistons
The algorithm has blessed me, hopefully it’ll bless you all too with this rad clip.
Damn!!!!!
I was blessed with this
it did indeed
@Primusux
That looks steep even on the GoPro. Snow must have been perfect for a pull like that!

Damn, that was an insanely long pull!
The 450 had some clean valves after that run😁
Clean and out of adjustment valves 😂😂😂😂
Altitude is a bitch!
Watching that still gives me butterflies getting close to the top not knowing what's on the other side excellent ride. LETTE'R BUCK !!👍
I got that feeling as well, I was terrified of what edge or overhang could possible be waiting.
Underrated channel and video! Who agrees?
How does this guy not have more views and subscribers his timbersled videos are amazing
I was thinking the exact same thing!

this could be an add for KTM dirt bikes. that 450 pulled the elevation and loading like a champ.
Ya I was totally amazed it didn't self destruct half way , just what you'd expect from a KTM!
@machinehead6892 lol there's a reason why ktm is so popular and I don't think it's because they're known for self destructing
You keep telling yourself that, why do so many owners complain about the build quality then??@@fleekwoodmatt4316
