1000+HP Snowmobiles!! The TRC team worked really hard to put this one together and hopefully shine a well deserved spotlight on these amazing people, we hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
Thank you guys so much for covering this. Our sport is very small and there are very few of us still in the game compared to how it was in the early 2000s so every bit of exposure to keep the sport going is a great help.
@@Dadofdirt It's not a problem, these machines have heavy duty belt guards but on stock chassis machines like what I race, there's enough material between you and the belt that it usually just destroys your belly pan worst case scenario.
TRC continuing to impress me and raise the bar with their videos. This really pulled me in especially since I'm from Wisco and have never been to a snow outlaws event. Thanks for helping shine light on all types of different racing.
As a guy who grew up cutting pro trees on 800 IMP stock, 800 stock and 1000 IMP stock, I'm so glad to see sleds getting love on this channel. Feelsgoodman.
We used to have two 1975 Harley Davidson, 398 cc, back in the day. However, they did not sound like that. Flash Forward: I love snowmobiling with every fiber of my body and soul. It is the freest I have ever felt in my entire life. Just me and the machine understanding and reading each other's inputs. Always makes me feel joy. I hope I explained this well enough.
Built motors for a handful of years at a race shop. Seeing someone put their hand over the exhaust to feel the heartbeat made me smile, our motors didn't have electronics at the time. It was all sight, sound and feel. Great video!
That's an extremely passionate crowd! All of them so respectful of their roots, their crew, the same sponsors (hypertune) and above all....the hosts. Great to see
loved this video. coolest part is "no rules" on what tech is allowed. results in a crazy fast evolution of the sport. mind boggling how quick these are on snow. speechless.
Thats the difference between snow outlaws and Carnival racing haha.... Real stand up professionals here. Middle ground imo at least back in the day is what (I assume the snow outlaws would remember/idk if theyre still big, not so much here in Canada anymore) is COSDRA / Yankee Zephyr... iirc they did a duo hosted event in cobden WAYYY WAYYY back and that was one of my first times drag racing sleds on a 440 sno pro. Professional events but the odd meathole lol. Like the guy said above the light shed on this event from TRC is what it needs. I myself got out.. family that ran 10+ sleds, improvers, mods etc all over canada/usa at times even got out... Still a few friends/family friends that are hard into it & next year I plan to get back into it, not sure if itll be drag where the specialty is with most of my connections or snocross/hillcross/hillclimbs in general which we sorta touched a few times but nothing compared to the amount of drag we did. Either way the high end competition like this is nuts & even before I could walk I was bombin' around the yard on sleds growing up and I'll still never touch one of these even if offered LMAO. Would shit my thong as they say. Straight mudfloss. Noooooo thanks. Ill spectate HAHA! Bring Snow Outlaws hard into Canada :D
@@OverwatchSIX wow your explanation was effin great. I live in arizona so we won't ever see these beasts run wild unless they can run on sand. Just a massive fantasy to escape to oven of the sonoran desert lol thank you.
@@michaelwilson5851 Haha for sure ! Sled racings fun from bottom to top level to spectate/compete in definetly get out to any event if you can sometime! Sad story there with the older brother but a vengeance story with the younger brother coming back yr later for gold and kept pushin even harder every yr. Pretty sure those guys ran them on sand though in texas when they first got sleds HAHA. Look up haydays grass drags! or any other grass drags. Grass drags are a ton of fun and we used to attent LOTS of them! Basically thermostat leaves the building, a battery operated pump style cooler (like a drink cooler LOL) full of ice water and quick disconnects on rad hoses on the sled each run you just load the ice in and run it through the sled. Im sure theres grass drags somewhere near u!
@@OverwatchSIX I've seen maybe 3 or 4 nasty two strokes head down the eighth mile on a slick tread at SIR, and I don't know who he was, but he went all out nasty at glamis on turbo sled and he upset almost every dirt bike on that hill back in 2014

Incredible video! Having grown up in Michigan's upper peninsula snowmobiles were a big thing. First new machine we had was 14hp Johnson then the dual exhaust Evinrude 16hp version. (1967-1968) My last Snowmobile was a new 1975 Polaris 500 Triple air cooled (that felt fast lol) and to think now they have 1000+ hp machines is unreal. This gotta be the best snowmobile related video I have seen!
Amazing! I’m no mechanical expert, but it’s incredible how these machines are designed and built by hand from the ground up and how wonderfully built as well. Some people really know what they’re doing!
Thank You, for posting this/That Racing Channel. The effort, American engineering and best in the world quality parts make the sport a Must See for drag racing fans, who are suffering in the off season.
These sleds are insane! I've been riding and messing with sleds for 20+ years now and I keep getting blown away every year by the newest and fastest sleds (and cars)!
