Bienvenidos amigos to another episode of MLD!!!
BEST NEIGHBORHOOD??? That's a strong statement! It's important to note that we are biased as we live in beautiful Colonia 5 De Diciembre. We find that all neighborhoods in Puerto Vallarta Mexico offer their own charm - no 2 are alike and we're enjoying exploring them. But on today's vlog , we're taking ya'll around on a typical Friday afternoon/evening. We're talking 5D hidden gems, tacos, playas and a lot more.

Hola buenas tardes están en la playa camerinos ahorita?
My stalking skills are terrible jajaj
The kids are the stars of this vlog! They’re so cute, and they seem very happy there....they get to go to the beach almost daily, in Mexico. What’s not to love? What a wonderful place for them to grow up!
Thank you 😊 they are very happy. They won’t know any different but we want to make sure they realize how amazing this is.
Wow that is amazing you guys I'm Mexican and I'm so proud that you guys are enjoying and living in a beautiful place .
Thank you so much 😊
That drone shot at the end... CHEF'S KISS! As soon as I get my finances on track, I'll be back!
Thanks Sherry, the birds seem to chill at night allowing me to get some shots lol
@@Morelifediaries yeah, those were some scary shots...Momma birds are no joke!
Omg!! My old neighborhood I lived up on Bolivia use to live going to that store! 🥰😃🙏🏼God I miss it there!
It's so good!
Your kids seem to have adjusted very well to PV.
Saludos ✌️
Our oldest loves it here and our youngest doesn’t know any different - they both love the beach and eating tacos so they’re happy lol
Ah nice family! Makes me miss my 3 grandsons ! I live in Gringo Gulch! Going to walk down there now to see the ceramic shop and have a taco at Pepe’s ❤ if you need a babysitter let me know I’ve got referrals 😆 young grandma loving my life here! Thanks great video 🫶🏽💖💙💙💙🩵
Thank you 😊 5d is great! Lots of great local eats
i like your photography and the music, good audio quality.
Thank you 😊
Thanks!
Thank you so much ❤️
Really enjoyed this video!! and thanks for sharing!!
Thank you 🙏🏼 we’ll be putting more of these together
@@Morelifediaries fantastic, looking forward to them!
We love that neighbourhood. We live in Bucerias (part time)and Canada(part time)and right now we miss our juice walk in the morning:)
Thanks for watching. We love the walkability of this neighborhood so much.
Beautiful! My wife and I are moving to Puerto Vallarta in November.. See you then!
That’s awesome 🙌🏼
Excellent video, so exited to be there in December!!!
Thank you 😊 see you soon 🙌🏼
Enjoying your channel. Just subscribed and looking forward to more of your family’s adventures. I admire your decision to move to Puerto Vallarta! The very best to you.
Thank you so much for subscribing 😊
Great video!! Liked all the aerial views. Also, seeing you walk around reminds me of how different the streets/sidewalks are there vs. the US. I've only visited once and I found I had to be extra careful walking around (even took a big tumble) as the pavement is so uneven and the curbs can be interesting to maneuver....but I still loved it there and hope to go back soon.
Thank you 😊 yes!!! The streets are crazy here lol also don’t assume you can cross the the street at a stop sign because you might get run over.
Super solid video guys. Love our colonia…5D has so much to offer. My wife and I are back early November. Have to agree Pepe’s is a notch up from El carboncito. Lots of love from calle Costa Rica y Nicaragua.
Peace
Thank you so much. Hopefully we can connect one you’re here. We’re on the hunt for something even better than Pepe’s (we feel like that’s the obvious choice) but we haven’t found it yet. Our search continues 🙌🏼
We just left PV on Sunday after spending 10 days there...was hoping to run into you guys on the beach or malecon and say hola! LOL, we saw the same lady on the malecon singing extremally loud and actually she sat down next to the burro statue outside the Burro Bar and was having a great conversation with him! I have lived most of my life in the southern US and thought I knew heat and humidity but there is on a whole other level...one of cab drivers recommended the same tacqueria but they were closed so we did Pepe's instead...killed a lot of al pastor tacos that night! Stay safe and continue posting great content! We are coming back in April next year, can't wait!
Thank you 😊 our Malecon night is usually Friday evenings where we eat at Plaza De Armas but it’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve gone because of the rain. Maybe we’ll catch each other next time 🙌🏼
Great job you guys. 🙂
Thank you 😊
The lady singing at 3:55 ❤️ has great energy. Was visiting from the US 3 weeks ago, stayed with friends in the zona romantica and I would run into her during my morning jogs around the malecon and the winding cobblestone streets of lower amapas. Great seeing her in your video!
Thanks for sharing!! We see her all the time too lol
Hey Marc, good video. We’ve waliked your neighborhood several times, even though we stay in El Centro. We have tried Tacos Del Julio, and they we not bad. One thing I was not sure was how your Spanish is, and you sounded like a local 😁. When we move there in Versailles, our walk to beach will be Playa Los Caprolitos. How about a walk through video through Versalles…when it’s not hot. Lots of places to eat there. You need to try Abulon when you are there. Really enjoy your drone shots overhead, I like seeing the city from above. Thanks for sharing again!
Hola Maria - Muchas Gracias 😊 it’s getting there lol I’m getting a lot of practice.
We will definitely give you guys a walk through of Versalles - so many places to eat. We have tried Abulon and actually filmed a vlog there for my birthday. As I was finishing the vlog everything crashed and I lost all the data on my hard-drive lol. I guess we’ll have to go back 🤷🏻♂️
I was there last wk and love it...
We have family there..
They own a restaurant Guadalajara grill they have mariachi music every day.. ask for Carlos or Hugo, i recommend it
Thank you 😊
OMG, those are all my old stomping grounds! I stayed with a friend right in the building behind that taqueria where you guys just ate (and btw, IMHO, they have the absolute BEST tacos al pastór in all of Vallarta, bar none, Pepe's was okay, but never as good as theirs - and they were litarally downstairs from where I was!) I am still salivating and craving those tacos like crazy… And you were right in "my" spot on my beach, Playa Camarones. THANK YOU for giving me my 5 de Diciembre fix (counting down the weeks, woo hoo!)
Thank you 😊 they definitely are delicious. 5D is the best neighborhood
If you like Tlaquepaque store in PV, no other place comes even close to what Tonalá offers. It is a city and municipality within the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area. Buyers from many countries shop there for the artesanal goods @ wholesale prices. There is street after street of shops with glass, pottery, textiles, baskets, furniture, decor, ceramics, woodwork, metalwork, lamps, pillows ... pretty much anything and everything to decorate a home in Mexican traditional style. Happy rooting in Mexico.
Thank you for the recommendation 😊 we will look Tonalá and hopefully make it there - we’ll try to not spend all our money lol
@@Morelifediaries ha ha ha, in Tonala our ability to restrain is tested till it reaches a braking point. If you go, don't get stuck only on the main street. Side streets are where the best treasures reside.
I loved it!!!
Thanks 😊
I stayed in 5 de diciembre for a month in 2021 and 3 weeks in 2022. Love that neighborhood and Camarones beach is awesome. Not sure if that Tlaquepaque store was there when I was there as I never saw it but could have missed it. My favorite Mexican restaurant there is Carnes Asadas Lupita which is on San Salvador near Brasil. She makes her own tortillas and they are BIG- so one taco is enough. And her green salsa is incredible. Also love Cálmate Café, and the best coffee in PV is at Cafe Oro on Columbia. Last year I had planned to buy some to bring home but they were closed for the month! (September). I miss PV a lot but not that instant sweat feature haha. I watch all your videos- got my temp residency but still need to sell the house and move. Current plan is to check out Queretaro first when I move. From Michigan btw. Viva Mexico 🇲🇽
We love it as well ❤️ we’ll definitely check out Lupitas (we see it all the time). We also always see Cafe Calmate and we’re just saying today we need to go - seems to be a lot of people’s favourite. Cafe Oro is another one we should try, we’re always going to La Ventana or Revueltas because they’re so close to home and have working space.
Thank you for the great recommendations don’t be surprised to see some of them on our future vlogs 😊
@@Morelifediaries I hope you like them- would love to see them in future blogs! If you go to Carne Asada Lupita please tell Jenny the chef that Liz says hi . My Airbnb was across the street so I went there often and love her family. Her mom is Lupita and she used to be the chef but she is still always there helping out.
Great video ! Thanks
Glad you liked it!
Great video 😊
Thanks! 😊
Hi. Love that cat street mural in the beginning.. is that right outside the Cafe? Thanks!
Yes it is 😊
Love your videos. How is the noise in your neighborhood?
Overall pretty quiet unless you live on a main road (colombia, Perú or Mexico). We’re on Colombia and our rooms are facing the street so it gets pretty loud.
Same here I live on Mexico a few stores down by the glass place you spoke about. Lived here 15 months and haven't gone in but I'll do that this weekend. My street is very loud but I'm use to it now LOL.
Just booked my airbnb for that neighborhood for late August! What was the process like signing a year lease? credit check, deposit, etc. Thanks!
They’re all different. Standard is to pay first and last + one month’s deposit (basically 3 months upfront).
A local took us to Carboncito and afterwards I went right to Pepe's for the best Al Pastor in PV.
We also prefer Pepe’s
Im planning another visit in November after Thanksgiving
Awesome 🤩
So you don’t think I’m totally stocking you guys. I am also renting in 5 de Deciembre and watch the sunset on Playa Carmerones every night ….maybe I can join y’all the next time if you see some random girl walking towards you. It’s me
Yea absolutely 💯 stock away!!! Lol
We are planning a trip there this summer for about a month. Any safety concerns with your littles?
Just be careful with the waves and tide
Have you try panchos Takos ? the best tacos i have had in PV 😋
Not yet! We’ve tried to go a few times and the line was too long for us with the kids. One day though.
@@Morelifediaries you’re right there’s always long line but is worth it the wait im not sure if they take reservations they use to do it before might be easier with your kids your family will love panchos takos 🥰
Try tacos " LA HORMIGA " pretty good tacos in my opinion!
We’ve gotten La Hormiga recommended to us a few times - we’re definitely checking it out!!!
@Morelifediaries they are always full of people and they don't disappoint! Keep pushing out these great videos Marc!
At some point you think you stay in a country? I am saying it because you said that we have breen in different countries. I bought a house in Merida and to retire. I am re building the house..
Hola, not sure what you mean but we are young and find joy in travelling. We want to show our children the world. Maybe when we retire we’ll buy a house in Merida 😉
at home do you speak English with the kids?
A mix of English, Spanish and French lol
Well is hot pretty much all over the world global warming 🤣🤣 but it looks like in a few years the climate temperature will change where is cool it will be hot the mather earth is turning around 😂😂
It was Earth cooling then global warming - I guess “Climate Change” covers all basis 👍🏼
