I don't think it's embarrassing that you reached out like that. I think it's really cool, and that people should be open to receiving communication from someone who is passionate and ready to learn. Even if they didn't have a job for you they could point you in another direction. You've shined all on your own though, that's power. ❤
Not embarrassing at all! This is how you build networks and that literally how LinkdIn works, she was just ahead of the curve. That's how my industry works, we always have to reach out to fellow scientists through cold emails and I used to be embarrassed about it but now I'm used to it.
Completely agree. I teach in a culinary school and I encourage my students to reach out to people they admire and who have the kind of jobs they want - to kindly ask their process or experience. Some even feel confident inviting those contacts for coffee to chat. It’s excellent networking for the students who do it.

She has these carefree moments and simplicity paired with amazing technique and with fine ingredients from time to time. It’s so much more achievable for a beginner or home cook than other food content creators. From Lisa Nyugen and dooby and now you, I’m jaw dropped when I finish the meal and the kitchen isn’t in flames! Lol I’ve been a good cook in my life but I did a lot of basics or made from scratch which I didn’t think was that serious but now I’m making all these layered recipes that always taste amazing. Not a single recipe I’ve made from you has been disappointing. The more and more I think about being a skilled cook, I realize it doesn’t have to be this big serious thing and you can simply enjoy it and ofc make mistakes as you learn. That is literally the best banana bread I’ve ever had in my life and I’m going to try replacing part of the wet ingredients with coconut cream like you did and this recipe and see how it comes out! I always come across your videos in my shorts and seeing how far you’ve come should be an indication that you’re successful.

I love making banana bread! It’s one of my favorite treats and it’s so fast to make. I’ve been tweaking my recipe to make my version of the perfect one but I never thought of adding sliced bananas on top it looks soooo good 😊

Fancy cooking school, restaurant work, very low pay, no benefits, so I joined the Navy, baked for special missions, but I always wanted the same type of jobs you just mentioned. I got to see the world and grew as a person and a baker. 10 yeas. Now, I just wanna be a hippie. Bake stuff, grow stuff, make crafts and set up a wooden stand to sell from my backyard. Made and loved the seafood salad.
