    Third shot intercept; the most important element when you can dictate the rally. Love the content on here. Can’t wait for the next video.

    Agreeing the 3rd shot with your partner is a great tip, so you are both covering the court well, and is something I hadn't considered.

      It’s such a good opportunity to get as organised as possible as a pair. It can really help put you in a positive position.

    This is so good! I am using this at our club and now getting some easy points. Although I have worked this out serving from the even side, it would be great to see a video or explanation from you.

    Glad you made this, as many club players don’t know how to do this. I often try to intercept the return on my serve and won many cheap points on my serve, just by doing this.

      It’s a great skill to have and can win many quick points by being organised and looking for the 3rd shot.

      I need to practice the round the head interception, as I tend do the forehand shots only. The 3rd shot interception is the easiest & quickest point you can win in a game, without a tiring rally. @@TheBadmintonZoneHQ

    Very good and useful video guys. Would you be able to do a video on the technique for a "Drive" Serve ?

    • @TheBadmintonZoneHQ

      Yes I’m sure that’s something we can look into. It’s becoming more widely used now as well 👍

    We play with same technique, but my club members adopted now they play dribble(close net shot) or hard push to the backhand! which if u try 50-50 shot, for net shots some times i have to give lifts to the opponents! Have a to mix up variations in serves as part of play! Third shot taken by partner also good choice, set's up the rally!!

    • @TheBadmintonZoneHQ
      @TheBadmintonZoneHQ  5 месяцев назад +2

      The net return is a good option as it has the shortest flight time, you could try gambling on the net more once you have served and allow your partner to cover the mid/rear court.
      You’re right about setting up your partner for the 3rd shot as well, we decided to focus on the net player in this video but may release another video in the future focusing on the mid court player. Thanks for watching.

      Should the server attempt a net kill as a third shot if the opponent tries a dribble (serve return) or a lift is the best option?

    • @TheBadmintonZoneHQ
      @TheBadmintonZoneHQ  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@streetninja23 it’s always the best option to kill but it all depends on if you’re early enough to the shot and confident in executing a brush kill when close to the tape. If the opponent isn’t ready enough for the reply you could also play a net shot. It’s all down to circumstance and the level of the players you are playing against. A lift isn’t a bad shot if played for the right reasons.
