"The Stockholms" is a hostage situation comedy from the creators of "Cyanide & Happiness". The series follows a bank robber who spends months in a bank with his captive "family", all thanks to a pushover negotiator.

i love how the sniper was called a hero after he missed like 5000 shots across 18 months on a mostly non moving target
Yeah but at least he tried to kill him unlike the other policemen and imagine If you waited 2 years constantly trying to kill someone while everyone else did nothing.
All of his shots were too high and so when he did shoot him it was because he raised his head up a bit.

When you think about it, Charlene was the villain this entire time. She knew the gun was empty but kept herself and two innocent kids trapped as hostages.

Stockholm syndrome is named for a bank robbery in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1973. Four people were held hostage by the robbers for six days; when they were rescued, the hostages attempted to protect the perpetrators, with whom they had an amicable relationship.

It was actually completely made up by the incompetent psychologist handling the hostage negotiations as an excuse for why his negotiations went terribly. The robbers eventually left the bank because the guy finally said “screw it I don’t care about these people just kill everyone inside”
In reality the cops fucked up, and it was essentially just victim blaming

I low key feel that the whole point of creating this series by CNH was to at the end get the viewers to have Stockholm syndrome! We legit started rooting for the guy!!

Damn, hearing Nolan North channel William Shatner when voicing Chris Pine is a treat. Hearing Vegeta subtly slip through in Santa's lines is also a blast. Oh and Zach. Zach is godly as usual.

I genuinely think this is one of the most creative combinations of concepts possible
Two completely opposite scenarios combined flawlessly via a basic concept in a comedic way that perfectly represents an exaggerated example of classic sitcoms
That sniper guy got soo great character development and story overall. I love that person
This is seriously one of the most creative premises ExplosmEntertainment has come up with. Not only is it funny, it's extremely well produced and has genuine sweet moments between the characters.

god almighty this is the most creative sitcom parody that i've ever seen. Whoever came up with this idea is a literal genius. Same gooes with purgatony, literally can't believe how genius these idea's are
Mike Saldeco, who also made cyanide and happiness.
"Purgatony" is awesome. C&H's premises are hilariously sadistic. This could've been a poor copy of "Dog Day Afternoon" or any hostage scenario from sitcoms and no, it's twist after twist.
There should be a crossover with purgatony and stalkhomes where Jasper meets him and they talk about if he goes to heaven or hell.
There would be a flashback of his life and his "family."
This would be the greatest crossover of all time bringing back two series into one episode.

Phenomenal. Superb. Great music, jokes, animation, and a surprisingly fun and emotional story.
Hopefuly there will be a season 2 and it will not end up like purgatony:(
edit: guys I get it he dead no more season 2, but imagine a short cross over episode with purgatory where tony would judge jasper's actions and decide where to send him

I love how the mom knew from the beginning he had no bullets but instead left her real family to willing stay with the guy. Stockholm syndrome doesn't set in if you were never really a hostage to begin with. Especially when he said if not for you I would have let everyone go. The real person keeping everyone hostage was the mom all along. It really makes her terrible considering she's sleeping with the guy. She's so good she's bad. Path to hell is paved with good intentions.
