- Yep, apperantly you can only buy specific games from specific continents, which makes getting some games from PS3 store almost impossible to get.

I’m from the US and I own over ten PS3s and 4 different accounts. Each account equals 2 digital copies of the games I buy on the PS3 store for 2 different systems. So I got a lot of the digital games I like preserved for when the shut down happens. I started digitalizing my own PS1, PS2, and N64 games. I’m currently working on a way to digitalize my PSP games. My next project is digitalizing the GameCube/Wii & PS3/PS4 games. I love seeing everyone waking up and finally realizing that these companies are going to do nothing to preserve their own classic games. My reason for doing this is the fact that Rockstar released something called the GTA Definition edition but it’s actually a censored edition. In order to play the original GTA classic games you literally need a PS2 or Xbox disc. I will probably add you on PSN and I hope you see my comment. Discs data is rotting away too by the way, there’s not much time left before classic games discs are unreadable so if ya’ll just started game collecting I’d be worried.

I did want to get a PS Vita and jailbreak it, but the console never arrived, which unfortunately made me kind of sad, since I have been trying to get handheld console that I could easily put in my pocket and carry with me everywhere. While I do have the Nintendo Switch, the console is a bit too big and it almost feels like I'm carrying a brick instead.
I totally agree with you, the PS3 e-shop is a hot mess right now but, this is kinda ironic, if you like to play retro games so much, how come you don’t have those games physically already? Those are must have games that you should have had by now. Lol I have Megaman Ledgends 1 and 2, Dino Crisis 1 and 2 and all the Fatal Frame games for PS2. I only beat Fatal Frame 1, the save file was big in the PS2 memory card, it took a lot of space, I remember.
I live in a country called Latvia & the economical budget here is very low, so my father kept buying fake/unoriginal copies of PS2 games for me, instead of buying legitimate ones from actual stores that sell them at full price, since they were too expensive back then. And another issue was the fact that my family hates gaming in general, so I couldn't get that many games even if I wanted to. Plus, there are so many games that I never knew about, until years later, including the Fatal Frame & Megaman Legends games. I wasn't into horror games that much, since back then I was too scared to play them when I was younger, but now I have more appreciation towards them. I did beat the first 2 Silent Hill games & I'm currently working on beating the third game on PS2. So hopefully you understand my situation.
But I still find it dumb that European & UK PS3 store owners can't own the list of games that are only available in USA & Canada only. That's just bad business practice. I'm pretty certain people outside of US loves these retro games as well.
Just jailbreak man, they made enough money
While it does sound good on paper, jailbreaking a PS3 is a difficult process, since not all PS3 consoles can be jailbroken. Plus, I'm afraid to break my PS3 console if I attempted to jailbreak it.
