New Arrivals on Craiglockhart Pond Spring 2023

Spring brings new life to the pond, first with several families of coots, then the duckings and finally after a late start 5 lovely cygnets. We had a few other guests as well with canada geese, a passing heron possibly visting from the Water of Leith and a writhing mass of tadpoles. The birdsong in the background was the indicator of a thriving bird population in the trees on the neighbouring Easter Craiglockhart Hill.
