Always loved birds, big and small. They are smarter than you can imagine, the sounds they make are so enchanting to listen to. The swan mates for life too, they take care of their babies as a team. How beautiful to watch them emerge...
Just when I thought they were all out of danger... at around 11 weeks one young cygnet disappeared. It broke my heart, as I had been filming them every day, enjoying their rapid growth. I still see the remaining 3 everyday. This week the five (including parents) flew along my lake together. Very memorable and beautiful moment. Laura, that's so sweet of you. I take that title to 'heart'. The parents left the nest on Friday, two days after the last chick was born. It's hard to believe they take them on their journey through life so young. I look for them, and check on them every day, all the while hoping that they will be safe. So far so good! I saw them late this afternoon. They are already growing, and appear to be so strong. As their godmother (smiles!)... I'll be watching out for them. Hugs to you! Bella ❤

Laura, that's so sweet of you. I take that title to 'heart'. The parents left the nest on Friday, two days after the last chick was born. It's hard to believe they take them on their journey through life so young. I look for them, and check on them every day, all the while hoping that they will be safe. So far so good! I saw them late this afternoon. They are already growing, and appear to be so strong. As their godmother (smiles!)... I'll be watching out for them. Hugs to you! Bella ❤
