      Valter, if I don’t hear from you between now and Christmas, have a merry Christmas, secure in the love of almighty God. Thank you for all the prayers and encouragement this year. One day we will meet up... perhaps in the clouds, Lord willing.

    Great Video. I took a simpler approach to my battery cover "ponds", I used gorilla tape on the two center ones and it works. Your solution is better in many ways, no doubt.

      Whatever works to eliminate that mosquito pond and mud gathering receptacle. It looks and stays so much cleaner, now! Cheers!

      Thanks, Bob. I am glad you approve. And thanks for the green cubes of git-r-done. You really saved the build and made doing this possible.

      Thank you so much, my friend. I am still amazed at the reach around the world a simple video can make. I feel blessed to have you watching.

    Good work as always Dave. I might switch that 12v lug to the other side as you have shown.

      I posted on the LMTV MTV Military Trucks group site... I asked if anyone could prove me wrong, because I want to have confirmation or a real good explanation why the military designed it how they did that was better. I believe I am right, and the proof is in the pudding.

    Dave, so according to the law, with multi 12v batteries, its better to charge/discharge from oppisite ends..in otherwords charge P farside and N nearside, discharge N farside and P nearside...looks like I need to rewire my inverter

    • @HelicoolsHelipad
      @HelicoolsHelipad  3 года назад +2

      Charging and discharging should always be done across the battery pack... yes. This ensures both batteries in that system are fully active, and one is not just there to feed and feed off of the working battery.

    Dang, I wish I would have done that little modification before spraying the lid. Those little pools of water are irritating.

      With your tooling and skillset, you could trim those up so nice no one would ever notice. :-) I'm so glad they are gone!

    Was that Jacob on the light switch? Great mod and proof for those that are swapping battery diagrams.

      So glad you commented and hit the “like” button... at least I think you got the like button, because Jacob stopped shining that light in my face! LMBO! RUclips does not identify those that click the like button. (It’s a lurkers button!)

    Ok, the part I don't get is that, if what you say is true, the Army connected the batteries incorrectly?!? My whole world is spinning......

    • @HelicoolsHelipad
      @HelicoolsHelipad  3 года назад +3

      What the Army did was okay, this alternative way is better. You are free to decide how ever way works best for you. The traditional method does work. I just found a better way. That is my opinion, based on some facts that I have gathered. 😃

    I'm lossed on the difference between the military diagram and your kurkofs law, Was that from stalock 13 , Recommended by sergeant Schultz, they look the same to me.

    • @HelicoolsHelipad

      Look how the 12v (pos) output and the ground are not on opposite corners in the sticker diagram on the truck. They should be in order to get maximum use from the batteries. In other words, the left-hand 12v system battery only feeds feeds off power to the right-hand one. It never gets used or charged directly. Therefore, that battery will most likely be the first to die.

      @@HelicoolsHelipad So the nato receptacle would be from ground to 24 V Just like the original under cover yellow description from oem.
      I generally use a 24 V charger on the nato plug to charge my battery's
      and to jump other 24v equipment / trucks/generator/if needed.
