You are correct. Historically this home is important because its the first home Elvis owned. Elvis' birth home in Tupelo Miss was built by Vernon's father and Uncle Vester. On my first visit to Graceland in 1987, I met Uncle Vester who signed his book " A Presley Speaks" at the Heartbreak Hotel Restaurant across from Graceland. Although the "shotgun shack" is a simple dwelling Uncle Vester told me he preferred his native Tupelo to larger city Memphis. Only met Uncle Vester that one time, but like Elvis and his other family, he was very cordial and kind.
It's amazing that over 60 years later and 42 years after his death the fans are still coming to his house in droves. You tightened up and got it done yet again!!
Thank-You Spa Guy for showing this beautiful home. I do not understand why Memphis is not buying these and keeping them the way they were for historical purposes. Elvis is still asked about today worldwide. He is the greatest entertainer that everlived. Thanks for preserving his heritage.
Thank you for sharing it was beautiful I love to hear stories I had heard about them but now I got to meet them through you God bless you always you and your family and Trey
Hello . guess what ? I saw Elvis in person....in Las Vegas....back in the 1970's at the Hilton Hotel. We stopped in Vegas...coming from Cali. Someone told us to go to the Hilton....we got a chance to see Elvis in person....wow....this is a great story.....from John in North Carolina.
It is a shame this house wasn’t restored to the original layout, more of Elvis history lost! Thanks Billy for the house update. AND Congrats to you for video # 200! I watch all of your videos!
fantastic yet again, its a real shame they are not putting the house back to the way it was, thanks Billy for this without you we wouldn't have got the chance to see inside the house, keep up you're great work, looking forward to you're next video. Thanks again.
Hello "Spa Guy". Nice report. I'm Rudi from Belgium and I have been an Elvis fan for 43 years. In October 2017 we went to the USA to visit most of the hotspots that deal with Elvis. When we visited the "Audubon" house, someone from the workmen came to me with a piece of wood from the eaves. So it was after the fire. It would normally disappear in the container. But he saw that I was an Elvis fan and gave it to me. We brought this to Belgium as a souvenir. So this is my unexpected story.
OMG! I just can’t believe that Sir Billy got first class tickets for the Audubon house and on the 200th episode of Elvis’s story. As I watched that I just shook my head in disbelief. Showing photos of Elvis there made it very real and It stirred up a few emotions. If I had the chance to do the same I don’t think I could leave..! To imagine Elvis slept and realised his achievement in that bedroom, sang throughout the home, made plans and talked to his Mum & Dad about what was happening in his life and so on is incredible! Sir Billy..You Got the Big One this time. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. 😇
Its heart wrenching what has happened to this house... I was fortunate enough to see this house inside and out in its original condition years ago when there was s house party celebrating Elvis in August. Partied with Richard Davis and quite a few other Elvis notables... Elvis' bed room was really something to behold and I believe it is no coincidence that Elvis liked bedrooms on the right corner front of his houses because Elvis' bedroom at Graceland is located in the same way... I'm sure its because he liked to see the fans who made it possible for putting him there....... Graceland should have bought this house years ago, along with Libertyland, Lauderdale Courts etc. and offered packaged deals... Maybe the house would never had caught fire... At least the outside is still original... But now its like Merle Haggard said when Merle revisited his childhood home..."Nothing is there anymore, not even the memories... " Its just not the same, everything seems to be just passing away and being forgotten, done away with... I will stop here because I'm starting to get depressed... Great video as always SpaGuy Too bad you couldn't have documented this house inside and out before it came to this... I thank God for all you do my friend! Best regards!
I’ve always been more drawn to this house for historical purposes as like you mentioned , it was such an innocent time where everything was still so new and exciting for Elvis and his family . It is a shame it has changed inside but times change and so must we while still a living home . Great vlog fella 👍
I was so jealous when my manager from A. Schwab's told me he went inside Elvis's house , Terry Saunders heir to the Piggly Wiggly store owns Schwab's ,she had just two tickets to get inside.. he told me you can walk freely about the house and get right up close to the wallpaper, he took pictures of himself standing next to the fireplace like Elvis... I thought to myself how could all these unsupervised college kids have access to this house.. one of the collage kids worked at Schwab's and I could tell you she was an airhead... I thought it wouldn't be long before Rhodes College wore this place out.... and the next thing I hear, it's burning down... I'm glad you got in there finally and I really appreciate all the up close details of Everything You video

Congrats on 200 Elvis episodes. Thank you so much Billy for taking us to Audubon House.Finally. you made it inside!Thank you so much for taking us along Billy. God bless
It looks really nice and so much bigger than I thought it would be inside. I remember reading in George Klein's book where he said he slept over here one night and stayed in Elvis's bedroom (Elvis had a king-sized bed then and remember, he always wanted somebody there in case he sleep-walked) and George heard fans whispering outside the window during the night. LOL I love the pretty trees here. Congrats on number 200 SG!
Sad that Elvis first home that he owned s being changed like this. I too wished they would of repaired it and back to the original way it was when Elvis lived there. This answers my questions about the home. Thank you for tightening up and bringing this to we the Elvis fans. Be safe and well. God bless you Mr. Spa Guy.
"Congratulations" on the 200th episode! Thank you so much for this video!! Amazing, seeing the interior of the home!! "When it comes to Elvis, if anybody can - get it done - Billy can!" 👍 God Bless you and your beautiful wife!! 🙂
That was absolutely amazing I sure wish I could have met this man he is by far my favorite Entertainer. I know he had his flaws as we all do but I'll look around in a year 2019 and see all these people that are famous and wealthy and I don't believe at least most of them we're not as generous as Elvis Presley there's one thing I can say he cared for people and that's something we don't have in this world like we used to keep up the good work I really really enjoy it God bless
It was a beautiful home , i wish they would of just restored it too ...but finally got to see inside ...i thought we might have been going to the office that no one is ever in ...lol nice surprise for us....Thanks Spaguy ...i loved it
G’day Billy, after all this time you finally found your way in the Audubon house to film this very important and valuable piece of Elvis history. Your persistence has certainly paid off. Well done mate. Fantastic video footage. Cheers from your number 1 fan in Perth, Western Australia 👍
Thanks Billy. Nice footage of Elvis's first home there. Disappointed too that they didnt keep it historically. I can say now that I've seen the inside of his Audubon home! ❤
Great video Billy! But it's just heartbreaking to see how they have gutted the whole house. All the history is gone. I remember going in there when I was around 18 19 years old or so. I got to go into Elvis's room .There was still original wallpaper around the house. The room in the back still had the star-shaped lamp and also the trophy shelves. The pool wasn't tiled at the time. The history has just been taken out of that place. Did the fire really damage that much or did they just decide to gut it and do whatever they wanted with it? Kind of sad. Thanks for the great video once again.
WOW!!! This is gold! I'm surprised to see they are completely remodeling the whole house! No wonder it's been taking so long to finish. I can't imagine owning a house that Elvis lived in. It would be incredible!! Do you know who the house belongs to now? Thank you so much, Billy, for taking the time to do this and upload it. I'm going to have a smile on my face all day long. :-) Another BIG piece of the puzzle to add to complete the picture! You're always TCB!
Billy, congrats on your 200th Elvis video. I have watched every episode. You do a great job and perform a wonderful service to the fans. Although the house is going through renovations, it’s exciting to know that you finally got in there. I had a similar experience in 1980 when I was in Elvis and Pricilla’s empty Hillcrest Road house in Bel Air. To the best of my knowledge, there were no renovations at the time but being vacant gives you a different and enlightening perspective. For me, I realized that even though Elvis was so famous, it was just a house...yes, big and expensive but just walls, a roof and a floor just like everybody’s. I had to laugh when I stood in the King’s bathroom and imagined Larry Geller dying and cutting Elvis’ hair! I still think you should make it out to Los Angeles. I have met several people in Elvis’ circle over the years but there are not many left. Congratulations again!
Glad you finally got in. I do agree they shouldn't be changing History.. and thanks for including the photos. Helped with what you were talking about 😉
I believe I heard mentioned they got a room that has a SUN STUDIO sound and they rent it out so others can record and get that 50's sound/feel 🎵I bet'cha SpaGuy can find out. He is our "magic man".

Man that place is a lot bigger than you would ever know from pictures. Another very well done Elvis historic video. Fantastic. It's a shame their was a fire. I wonder if Elvis ever visited the owners he sold it to back in 57?
I was lucky enough to get a tour of the house by a film crew a few years ago before it was damaged. The fridge that you saw in the garage,Elvis bought from out of sun studios in the 50’s and it still works !
Thanks for all you do by keeping the history of Elvis alive cause we as fans love seeing his memory and history of his life being done in a respectful way. Agian thank you for all your hard work.

This house should have been maintained as it was when Elvis lived there. Perhaps even turned into some kind of museum. Sad to see it now but a brilliant video. Thank you.
@@bobdylansweden6 No and I can understand why. The cost to put it back to what it looked like in 57 would be incredibly cost prohibitive, trying to get original materials colors and the likes again all would start costing more than the house is worth. It's taken some few years now to get back to this point in the remodeling.

This house was privately owned for years and shown but now it belongs to Rhodes College so it will not be a place fans can visit.. at least not inside..
So glad you finally got in. To bad it wasn't exactly like the original. That fire did some damage but thankful it didn't destroy the house. Thanks for sharing and showing where everything was. Alot of great memories for Elvis and his family. After moving into Graceland I wonder if Elvis ever drove by here and went down memory lane.🤔 I imagine he did showing it to different people. Thanks again Spa guy for all your hard work. Keep it up.
This was great. Looks like the Presley’s planted the shrubs lining the driveway, the new trees that have now grown huge! I thought I saw a monogram P on the awning. Sad they gutted the house and changed the layout…and filled in the pool, but that was nice that they covered the pool with blue colored tiles. Amazing.
Thanx for uploading this video Spa Guy ❤ The house is huge. I read that neighbours petitioned to get him moved cause the street would be filled with fans. He was hurt the neighbours wanted him to move. Nick Adams was a good buddy of him in the early years. Sorry they are changing the house. It would be better if left in original state for historical purpesses..
Another fantastic detailed walk through of an Elvis related place with great background information. I especially liked the comparison of the old photos and the same places now. Thank you again Spa Guy!
I'm glad you was able to go inside. I like the way you added the old pictures...it really helped me to imagine Elvis & his parents being there. It's good that he gave his parents the master bedroom...couldn't really imagine it being any other way...considering the type of person/son he was. Must agree with you....kind of disappointed they didn't stay with the original look of the home. Congratulations on your 200th episode! I appreciate all that you do. Hope you & your family have a very blessed weekend...God bless you 💙
I was there in 1995, and seen the house, but just from the curb, and took a few picture's. In one of my photo's, it looks like Elvis's image on one of the big tree's. Thanks for this video Billy, I have always wanted to see inside that house as well. Wish I could have bought it back in the day when I think it was for sale. I am in Perth, just seen the new movie of Elvis. So started following..2022
This house should have been maintained as it was when Elvis lived there. Perhaps even turned into some kind of museum. Sad to see it now but a brilliant video. Thank you.
Interesting as always, thank you, this is after his shotgun house , and before graceland 👍👍👍🐾💂👑💂🐾
Even though its different than the original house, still great to go inside and see the old photos you had.
Was the fire damage that bad that they gutted the whole inside? They ruined the history of the house!
It was all wood paneling with a coat of shellac.
Yes
But did the house look like it did in 1957, ?
Yes. Here's a tour from 2002. ruclips.net/video/OyELdj9IG58/видео.html
@@bobdylansweden6 No and I can understand why. The cost to put it back to what it looked like in 57 would be incredibly cost prohibitive, trying to get original materials colors and the likes again all would start costing more than the house is worth. It's taken some few years now to get back to this point in the remodeling.
Billy... This is were the beatles went to see elvis...??? But he did own graceland before? ... Is this were his wife to be came to live first... Love it Billy 🐾💂♂️👑💂♂️🐾
Nope Beatles in Los Angeles and Priscilla in Memphis at Vernons house.. I have done videos on both.. ruclips.net/video/m2NxVif8gtQ/видео.html

Spa Guy,you are amazing. You sure do know all things Elvis.Thank you again for sharing your expertise !
Hi Billy 😊, that was incredible! I'm so glad you finally were able to see it, and share with us! Thanks again, your friend Bonnie
Hope this Elvis home could be purchased and kept as a historic home for Elvis Fans to visit.Millions fron across the world will come. TQ Spa Guy for this video.
This house was privately owned for years and shown but now it belongs to Rhodes College so it will not be a place fans can visit.. at least not inside..
@@SpaGuy Thank you for the info.we shall drive past for photos this historic home when we visit Elvis Graceland in near future.
Great to see. Great place. Shame they filled the pool in. History right there. Love your vids thanks Billy from Liverpool UK
Love how you did the flash back pictures 👍. thanks 😊
Thanks a lot Spa Guy. Really enjoy everything about Elvis always. Congrats for the 200th Episode.
Spa guy you are great!! You let us all see elvis kingdom xx thank you so much for everything you do xxx PS I'm loving the deep south accent!! X
Congrats on 200 Elvis episodes. Can’t wait for the next 200. God Bless.
Hope you & your family have a very blessed weekend...God bless you 💙
Fantastic stuff Billy, thanks for the 200th, I love the Audubon house era.
Love you spa guy am learning so much about Elvis thankyou for everything you do love from England Liverpool 💙
So glad you FINALLY got in the House!
Thanks for the tour. Excellent as usual.
Another excellent video! I loved seeing Audubon House Inside! Great memories! Thank you Spa Guy! God Bless!
I would for sure have kept it as original as could be.
I can only say it's AMAZING !!!!!!!!! . Thanks from Holland
thank you spa guy for taking the trips you take
