The people who made this really get the power of short film. It's all about efficient use of dialogue and action to create the most depth possible. It's truly worthy of repeated viewings. Here's my interpretation of TAKE CARE NOW: Anne sees Ted as her younger self, naive, open, innocent, uncorrupted, before she was victimized (I'm going to assume it was SA, but that is not a given). For this reason, she loathes this stage of Ted and wants him to snap out of his slumber of innocence, so that he can properly protect himself from danger in the same way she wished that she could have been less vulnerable to the threat of danger she experienced. The childlike beach towel, and the bird are symbols of youth, vulnerability and innocence. Ted overshares and is desperate for approval, qualities she might have once had. Also, he had plenty of opportunities to overpower her but chose not to because he lacked confidence. Anne was so confident, possibly like her former abuser, that she didn't even worry about him taking a swing at her with the shovel or getting close enough to wrestle the gun from her hand. She now has the upper hand because the best resistance Ted can offer is to complain, annoyingly. Even when she has proven herself as dangerous, he still views her as the adult. The title TAKE CARE NOW has a double meaning. It can mean, "Take care of yourself," or "Take care of this now!" As long as the abuser is still alive, he needs to be taken care of, the sooner the better and as long as there are decent people, such as Ted and the former Anne, those people need to take care of their weakness before something bad happens to them.
So RARE to see a film deliver on SO MANY different levels. Outstanding and props to ALL involved in bringing this film to life. Even loved the credits and the final gift at the end, WONDERING ... who got shot?
Brilliant ! As he was reading her note, he thought the situation was resolved and all would be okay. I loved the second to the last line in her note ~ I took the car. LMAO.
Reminds me of the comment a famous female politician, said to a male politician. "If you were my husband I'd poison you." The male politician replied, "if you were my wife I would willingly drink the poison."

Brilliant! Love Ann’s character and the timing is great. Well written and directed 👍
“If you believe you’re weak, you’re weak.”
Brilliant! All the right ingredients to deliver a great little film. Loved everything about it!

Just perfect, well written, perfectly acted, I was with both of them all the way, you should make a follow-up! Loved it, thank you

The toilet scene and the last couple minutes really cracked me up. This was epic.
It’s a terrific story. Not horrible at all. So few men who hurt women are ever properly punished.
This needs to be a feature...I love it!
The grave digging shots (10:15 - 10:23) and (10:55 - 11:05) were beautiful. Well done whoever set that up. Enjoyable all around.
Absolutely!!! 💯
Excellent. Wonderful acting, laugh out loud humour and also some suspense. Loved it.
That was weird A F ! I really liked it . I may have to watch it again .
Loved it! Exactly what I needed to hear today.
I love these shorts!
Very cool. I was expecting the typical 'male victim goes psycho and gets revenge' scenario but was pleasantly surprised.
Bro you blew that for me
Oh that was very naughty of you 😅❤
@@tracymichaelsen493 Spoiler...sorry :)
what 'typical' male victim goes psycho and gets revenge scenario?
That was brilliant! 🥰

Great film. Excellent job by all.
Where was it shot?
Wexford, Ireland I believe
Wonderful
GENIUS🎈
Live alone.
Uncontrolling and uncontrolled.
I liked it.
Wow
good 1.
Honest question: how would you feel about this with sexes reversed?
Hmmm, I feel that you don't need an adjective to qualify your question.
Hola
You think this is Spain?
It was a bit weird, then 1/2 way through the mean lady crushed the defenseless bird... you lost me.
It's a horrible story. Horrible and unhealth.
Well, yes. Hopefully it does not embolden those out there to act horrible. Or more horribly. Hopefully it Acts as a deterrent.
Almost 10 mins in & still waiting for the good part 🤷🏾♀️
Second 🎉🎉🎉
you're third
The background music sucked but otherwise it was good.
The film score was genius. It helped build the tension.
First comment
you're second
Ask Ann if she cares.
Self love is really what matters at the end of the day he was attached to his gf and car to the point where he forgot about himself 🥲
