Please BET award lifetime achievement award to Francis Teddy Osei he is the Quincy Jones of Africa well ahead of his time with great spiritual and positive messages GODBLESS HIM🙏🏼
Glad i found this on "You Tube" thank you You tube. I listened to these guys back in the 70's on 8-track no less. were good times back then! I wish I could go back. everybody got along. there was no Violence like today. cars were cool. jobs were well paying (if you were in a union) and the Music!! nothing like it today! the 70's was the best Decade!!
Hello all I think this group members are the pioneers in entertaining the audience. They not only enjoy along with them they involve the audience also. The instruments they use gives a natural sound.Thank you Osi bisa.
No, it isn't Kofi Ayivor. That is the late Darko Potato who joined the band when Kofi Ayivor and Kiki Gyan and Jake Sollo absconded from the band a few hours before the band's Black Magic Night concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Sir, I uploaded this video of two reasons. One; this is my favorite. Second, Tamil music director AR rahman copied the rhythm of song starting from 2:50 for his movie "Gentleman.".
Shinu Pillai absolutely correct yesterday only I came to know by a RUclips channel called CineMafia they are found and revealed this.. . how do yu know.sir? wen do yu came to know.about these sucks?
Hello Anil. This is Phenominal.Do you have a complete concert of this same video please.I have the other live concerts on you tube of Osibisa.I watched them live in Goa/ India in 1981 This band changed my life i took up to drumming as my main line. RIP Sol Amarfio and Daku Potato THESE LEGENDS will always remain my heros. Please let me know
I could see that. If you read Santana's interviews and so forth, he always talks about incorporating the Afro Latin strain into his music and that rhythmic element being impportant to it. You can hear it big on songs like "Toussaint L'Overture." So they both trafficked in that realm of modern day rock music with the deep African based grooves, kind of the "World" groove arena.
From A.R.Rahman ( Tamil movie Gentleman ...pakadhey pakadhey ) to Bappi Lahiri ( Adventures of Tarzan ,..jillele jillele),..all have copied the tune of this song in their movies.
How dumb I am to to listen Parkadhe parkadhe reading ur comment saying its copied and coming here to listen find out there is zero similarities between parkadhe and this one. ARR is genius along with music arranger Sridhar sir. You are biggest looser
@ Indra deva bhakt I agree About jilele jilele in the hindi movie adventures of Tarzan (1985) ...and that too only the starting line jille jilele aao aao jillele...and after that there is nothing in this song ..its only freaking drum beats .. where as in jilele jiele hindi song ..its a full song .. so we can't say it's lift from here...this program is a total crap ..and I am really wondering what makes you think there is any similarity of this note and parkade parkade of AR rehman?? There is no iota of simialirty...not even in million light years... comeon buddy .. show some sense..
In 80's I have enjoyed their live music at Cochin 😊

it is funny, santana is like the osibisa of latin america, I find their music strangely alike....
could you explain yur sentence Santana is no comparison? please..
why would it be strange?
