Sona Jobarteh - Gambia - LIVE at Afrikafestival Hertme 2018
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 3 сен 2018
- Performance 8 July 2018.
Sona Jobarteh is the first female Kora virtuoso from a West African griot family. First in a tradition that is several centuries old, in which the Kora mastery was exclusively passed down from father to son. Since the release of her album 'Fasiya', she is justifiably praised, both as an instrumentalist and vocalist.
Live, she is accompanied by four musicians.
Sona Jobarteh: kora, vocals
Andi McLean: bass
Mouhamadou: Sarr percussion
Derek Johnson: guitar
Westley Joseph:drums - Видеоклипы

Hi Bubacarr , - A Njien from Banjul, The Gambia, West Africa...
The sound of African Music is so strong, bold, beautiful, spirit-lifting and I have no doubt African is the birthplace of music.
Africa is the birthplace of life.
This spring semester in University, I am taking a class called “Music in Middle East/N. Africa” and this makes me even more excited about this opportunity. I hope to dive as deeply as I can in this subject as a music major. I myself am an Ashkenazi Jewish American man and I find this so fascinating.
