We Indians fight for our country? ? ? I object to your statement. What is correct is that when the British were about to leave, Gandhi led the Indians to sit on the ground and cry loudly, begging the British not to leave; look at India now, beggars are everywhere, and India still has to fight for beggars. Expanding territory, because India can no longer accommodate so many beggars, we must invade other countries so that we can accommodate more beggars

The keto version of the atho is called Pangha - easily the winner IMHO. Ibrahim atho shop is far too spicy for my taste. And I can take a good bit of heat, it just seems to be the wrong kind for my taste. There is one on the same street at the southern corner - no name, but far better IMHO. The fried fish head curry is inherently keto, and beating the fried parotta also gets rid of any thing crisp you've achieved by deep frying it. Basically eating soggy fries at the bottom of the bucket after throwing away the crisp fries at the top.

While all this looks amazing, I wish Indian people would start trending towards healthier foods. Indian people already lead in high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, etc. Most curries are made with coconut milk, which is horrible for cholesterol. Most moms/aunties use a ton of ghee (clarified butter) in all their dishes as well. Not to mention the amount of carbs that are eaten. Rice, rotli, naan, dosa, etc.

do you genuinely think that India's growing obesity problems are somehow the result of coconut milk, clarified butter, and traditional food in general (which is known to be particularly time consuming to prepare - in general), and not, surprise surprise, the growing consumption of fast food and packaged, ready-made fully processed foods/meals? Your comment is so wrong on so many levels that I had to write :D Starting from your lack of contextual information, inability to understand complex processes over time, moving on towards your extreme arrogance and attitude (ofc, you personally have the right/knowledge to advice "indians" - all the billions of them). (...) It is one thing to be ignorant of things, and that is fine. But it is a completely different thing to be ignorant, and think yourself an expert at the same time, and give wrong advice. Jesus

Just some advice to non-natives visiting India: STAY AWAY FROM STREET FOOD! Every precaution against food poisoning in the industrialized world is substantially missing in India. Things you take for granted. Clean water. Food and health inspection. Refrigeration. Name it. Cooking oil is often old, reused, and impure. Unless your system is accustomed to all of this, you WILL get sick!

    • @OnnumMuttaiyum

@@OnnumMuttaiyum Don't get me wrong. Indian street food is tempting and tasty. But, between the indigenous food risks, the relentless Indian heat, and the natural richness of the dishes, it just isn't something that a Westerner can immediately eat, in most cases. I agree. Acclimation to the local food and water is really important. I got sick the first week due to some fried banana chips from a street vendor. It took weeks before I was ready for anything else. When you get there, initially stick to restaurants, fast food, and Maggi ramen noodles in your hotel room.
