Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

Filipino street food don’t get as much worldwide recognition if we’re to compare them to other well-known Asian street food. In some way, documentaries help in providing the spotlight to far lesser known cultures and traditions and so much more all across the globe. In general, Filipino food is influenced by existing Spanish and even Chinese dishes. The Philippines was under the rule of foreign colonization for decades, so it’s definitely no surprise.

"Generalized" is the wrong term to use here, considering that Filipino food has been heavily influenced by American cuisine, Indian cuisine, Austronesian cuisine, and so forth, and the bulk of the various origins of Philippine cuisine is mostly even throughout the different cultures.

It's been such a joy seeing your journey throughout the years, Sonny. I've been subscribed since you just put out your giant burger challenge video -- you barely had 100k subscribers, I remember sharing your videos on r/Philippines since your videos were all in the Philippines back then. I appreciated that it wasn't just another "weird 3rd world country food" vlog and you had genuine interaction with people you come across with. I also remember when you were still struggling to keep things afloat by basically charging full on and making more content about other cultures, even after losing a drone you probably couldn't afford replacing to one of countries' customs. Glad the risk was worth it. Years and tons of cultures later and nothing's changed at all except the production getting better and better. It's nice to see you back.

The rabbit actually didn't surprise me because it's a common newfoundland dish here in canada. I had it when I was a kid a few times. While the rest of canada probably rarely eats it, yea its common in NL, since most of the province is forest, and rabbits are pretty commonly hunted.. So it's a traditional dish. But it's still wild game, just wild rabbits , not farmed, skinned and cooked up really nice. They aren't farmed or fluffy cute ones like in this video hehe, ugly wild brown ones. But yea the wild ones taste great too. Funny thing is I've eated sisig a few times and its one of my fav and i had no idea what it was made from until now lol. I think thats the most fun way, just go to a mega buffet in the philippnies try all the food without even asking. It's all great and yea some of it is made from really weird stuff!
