Those street foods are from the slums of India, that’s mostly in the Northern part. It’s sad because people are now seeing it but the slums of India are some of the worst.
Don't worry we have such unhygienic places in Kerala too.. just that he hasn't shown there.. we have dozens of hotels shutting down every month, during the annual drama by the food safety and health departments. However with a couple of weeks the same hotels will reopen with absolutely no change. Some of the pay bribes, while others just make a couple of modifications and self declaration saying sorry. So yes, we are almost as bad as other states, but we don't like admitting it.. that's it.

Its not. Its not a traditional dish at all. Its just another dish which came to this shore due to influences from other regions by traders, and people who came to work here. Most Malayali Hindus who formed around 75% of the population back in the day, never ate Beef as recently as 1950s. Porrota was brought by tamil workers from madurai.

Several of my friends from across the globe travelled to Kerala and had no food poisoning or issues with water. The rest of India unfortunately not the same. This also goes for safety.
As a Keralite, it's good to see foreigners enjoying our cuisine. But I have to say, the prices shown in this video are a bit too high for Kerala standards because it's "Kochi," the most famous and visited place in Kerala. However, you can get the same dishes of the same quality at a much lower price in other parts of Kerala, such as Kollam and Trivandrum, which are located in the south of Kerala. If you are a food enthusiast and an explorer, you are going to love it here.I wish this would be helpful to my Non-keralite brothers and sisters😉

South Africa or at least where I live and travel has a huge European influence as neighbour's, colleagues etc are of western origin.. especially on food. Others top, India, Chinese, African...
