South Africa or at least where I live and travel has a huge European influence as neighbour's, colleagues etc are of western origin.. especially on food. Others top, India, Chinese, African...
I am from Kerala... My parents moved here from Kerala. So I visit there too at least once a year. We live, can be second generation etc but Malayali at heart. Have links - family, property etc there. I did my 1st degree in India.. Manipal in Karnataka nearby. It's in Hotel Mgt - I am in the tourism industry.. At some stage indirectly had over 60 restaurants amongst other products all over S Africa under my division. So I know food. There is no food like Kerala food. All Indian food is good too.

As a Keralite, it's good to see foreigners enjoying our cuisine. But I have to say, the prices shown in this video are a bit too high for Kerala standards because it's "Kochi," the most famous and visited place in Kerala. However, you can get the same dishes of the same quality at a much lower price in other parts of Kerala, such as Kollam and Trivandrum, which are located in the south of Kerala. If you are a food enthusiast and an explorer, you are going to love it here.I wish this would be helpful to my Non-keralite brothers and sisters😉

The fish roe was already overcooked before starting to prepare the dish. I smoke fish roe, and remove it while it is still soft and moist, it is only partly cooked, and delicious, instead of being dry and floury.
