So I’ve been getting messages about people’s ends coming out or the top of the plait showing lol.... now as I’ve talked to these people who are having issues, it’s coming to my attention that they are omitting the step to keep the ends in (1:12) and the sliding part at 2:45. Do not omit or rush past these parts, especially 2:45, you should *wrap and push the hair up then wrap again and slide it up until you cover the plait so when you let it go, it’s covered.* .... but hey, if you do choose to not follow the tutorial step by step, you’re certainly entitled to, it’s your hair, not mine, but I kindly ask that you do not ask me for further instruction since you did not follow them the first go around.
I feel this comment in so many ways!! Like folks be wanting to say crap don’t work but then don’t follow ALL the instructions. It ain’t being rude if you showed a person how to properly do it and they STILL don’t follow directions. Maybe this is something only content creators understand lol
+Jerika Syncere exactly! Ppl have a distorted reality on social media. Like if you’re any where else in life, work, home with friends, any where and someone gives you directions, and you don’t follow them but ask for help or complain and they notice that you didn’t follow them, what are they going to tell you to do??? Follow the directions!... It’s actually rude to disregard steps ppl are giving in order to help THEN go back and ask them for additional help knowing you didn’t do what was told.
This is always how I do my faux locs but I’ve been looking for a tutorial with large locs. Thank you for this! I’m definitely doing these next weekend!
I did mines just like this and they turned out so beautiful!!! I love the rustic look...and your right moisture is the key!!!!!! I had to literally greease my hair with a conditioner to do this!!! I love the rustic look! I used only 3 packs as well. Thanks so much!!!! I love these!!! I'm subscribing!!!😍
Best 1 I seen YET! Thanks I want these 4 my Bday coming up n 4 days, n I Love how u did them... U make it look easy n fast 🤞🏾 gurl I need 2 get ready 4 on the run tour it's on my bday... I'm too hype n with this look I'll be even hyped 🤗
😍😁😸I am so grateful the Divines guided me to your tutorial🙏 I have been visualizing many and plenty ways (good ones) to do a crochet hairstyle that is quick, simple and lightweight +. And this Bohemian GODDESS Faux Locs hairstyle be it✊
This is so nice, gosh i promised not to put and extension on my hair (4c type) for another one year. Now this protective style got me tempting to break my rule. You slay those braids and you look cute in them.
I love this!!! I've ordered my hair online and I'm patiently waiting. I love your video tutorials. I can't braid my hair in cornrows for crochet installs, but I think can pull these locs off easy with this technique. Thanks!!!
Sandra I. Didn’t for me, as I said in the video, it’s not as simple when you actually try to do that and I noticed others having the same issue ... but if it work for you, great!
Came across ur vid to get ideas on how to install locs cuz I've ordered some ....when I saw the hair I was hoping i ordered the same and I have! I'm so excited thanks for tips hope they suit me as well as they suite you they look amazing xx
Daye La Soul you just gave me an easier way to do this hairstyle. I tried Jazz Nicole’s method, too, and it failed...terribly. I can’t wait until Spring Break to try this hairstyle! Thanks!!! 😭❤️
Definitely loving these!!! I had to subscribe and like because your tutorial was so easy to follow and I have been interested in this style ever since I saw the girl on line that went viral with the two blonde ones too! So thank you so much for making this video
+Fay Samuel thank you! I wanted to do some color but didn’t want it to look junky since a lot is going on already lol. I think grey would be beautiful tho
+ThatsMyNamja lmbo! It wasn’t easy at first but I feel like I explained where I was having issues with and breezed right thru it once I got it together
This was my go to summer protective style! Did it the same method that you used! The only problem I had was that my braid at the root would push up and show. Great video 😊💃🏽
iiNDiie1 def didn’t know she coined wrapping locs when her first video is from 2016 even tho ppl have been wrapping for a couple years like Beauty Can Braid, Naptural, and Makeme Beauty and I’m sure some unpopular videos exists... I’ve never seen someone pull it thru with a crochet needle until her which is why I made sure to mention it bc I’m all about giving props for creativity and originality but ppl have been wrapping locs prior to her on RUclips
I'm talking about specifically thinking of wrapping crotchet locs around individual pieces of braided hair... I just saw a whole drama thing where she was mad that people weren't giving her credit for coming up with the idea to wrap crotchet locs.. So I assumed she was the originator. I've never seen that method of crotchet locs before her. When you look up Jazz Nicole Method the wrapping the crotchet locs is what people are crediting.
+iiNDiie1 It’s not that deep for drama over claiming hair methods 😂 but what I said still applies and I gave credit for what I saw and the ppl who inspired my look. But I’m pretty sure there are videos of ppl wrapping crochet before her channel even existed, maybe she was the first to ever do it off RUclips, who knows but again, it’s not that deep and anyone can say they’ve did it first.... Like did she credit the first person to ever do faux locs, and the person who originated wrapping, and the company who created the locs Since all of those were necessary for what she says originated?-I doubt it and it’s silly to expect her to and have drama over who did what first.
Daye La Soul I think she was only mad because the person acted like they came up with it right after her video started getting buzz.. Idk and I honestly don't care that much lol
You are such a beautiful young woman and I love this hair on you! Clearly im not ethnic, I do have naturally nappy, curly hair though.( yes I know its not the same kinda curly) . I love watching videos like yours! People always tell me there is so much I could do with my hair but honestly I don't have a clue how to. My hair is like an 90s perm kinda curly.. Ha! But its unfortunately naturally that type of curl and to top it off I have a very high forehead and a cowlick. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Amazing look! Super excited to try this style. I'm a newbie to protective styling. You said your hair was clean and well moisturized, but it's dry right? Did you air dry after washing? I'm just trying to solidify the wash to plait steps. Thanks!
Girl! The wrapping killed a pack of the locs that I bought. I couldn't get it together. I ended up doing the Jazz Nicole method with the "pulling" and that was a lot easier. I liked how you did the beach wave curls though. A lot less complicated then the way I did them. 😔😔
It’s cute & creative! I want to try to do this style with my hair. But I’m still trying to figure out how you twist the braid within the loc if that makes any sense. I guess I’ll try to figure it out by myself & use your method. Thanks for the video! Your so beautiful.❤️

Daye La Soul how many individual braids did you do?
I love this reply.
I feel this comment in so many ways!! Like folks be wanting to say crap don’t work but then don’t follow ALL the instructions. It ain’t being rude if you showed a person how to properly do it and they STILL don’t follow directions. Maybe this is something only content creators understand lol

Yup smh.
Thank you. You're the only one I've seen that shows us how to remove them. These are cute.
This is always how I do my faux locs but I’ve been looking for a tutorial with large locs. Thank you for this! I’m definitely doing these next weekend!

I love this!!! I've ordered my hair online and I'm patiently waiting. I love your video tutorials. I can't braid my hair in cornrows for crochet installs, but I think can pull these locs off easy with this technique. Thanks!!!
Sliding ur crochet needle through the lock and picking ur hair will save u half the time. Great hair!!

You did do the Jazz Nicole Method... She has several methods and this is the main one lol
iiNDiie1 def didn’t know she coined wrapping locs when her first video is from 2016 even tho ppl have been wrapping for a couple years like Beauty Can Braid, Naptural, and Makeme Beauty and I’m sure some unpopular videos exists... Daye La Soul old video but jazz Nicole is not the originator
Just love this look!!!
These are beautiful on you! Unfortunately for me, I've tried them and they did not look good on me 😩 maybe I'll try again one day.
I like these jumbo locks.
You are such a beautiful young woman and I love this hair on you! Clearly im not ethnic, I do have naturally nappy, curly hair though.( yes I know its not the same kinda curly) . +saleice Marjé yes
Okay thanks!
Girl! The wrapping killed a pack of the locs that I bought. I couldn't get it together. I ended up doing the Jazz Nicole method with the "pulling" and that was a lot easier. I liked how you did the beach wave curls though. A lot less complicated then the way I did them. 😔😔
LOL! Dif strokes for dif folks, I could not get her method without the needle getting caught but her way looks quicker and easier to the eye.
Girls, those look bomb!!
+Toshi J thank you!
My next style. Gorgeous
Sooo nice. I wanna try this asap.
I love this style. My only question is did you add the curly hair to each loc or just some of them? Thanks
This method seems very easy
I love these locs 😍😍😍
+Rogdreka Wilson thanks ♥️
It’s cute & creative! I want to try to do this style with my hair. But I’m still trying to figure out how you twist the braid within the loc if that makes any sense. I guess I’ll try to figure it out by myself & use your method. Thanks for the video! Your so beautiful.❤️
Yea maybe you’ll just have to see in person because I explained it in detail and I zoomed in on how to open the loc 🤷🏽♀️
Daye La Soul oh ok! I will watch it again. Thanks! New subbie😊
