I tried this for the first time yesterday (first time I installed my own hair extensions) and it turned out great! This was very easy to follow, thought it did take me over 6 hours while watching Netflix, but I'll cut myself some slack since I'm inexperienced...Thanks Mary! ❤️
After being at this for HOURS I was about to give up until I found your video! I literally just finished 3 of these in about 20 mins. I could cry for not finding your video sooner! But I am determined to finish this now!
@@Chocogunbunny 😂😅🤣! I had to rewatch her video. I don't even do it this way anymore, ironically, I'm putting faux locs in my hair right now! The secret for me is the type of hair, the Mojo Locs crochet hair has worked best for me. I like them when they get old looking, it looks more natural. I'm installing these same old locs into my hair for the third time. I use the crochet needle to pull my braid through the middle of the loc. I can put a loc in in less than about 30 secs. The longest part for me is parting and braiding my own hair for each individual loc.
@@Chocogunbunny You're welcome. It really is trial and error. Just keep at it because it will eventually click and you will be able to rock the method that works best for you.
Wow, beautiful Locs.!! I love this protective style. Also loved your method. The hair texture is so close to your natural hair. The way you keep encouraging the viewer to not give up was so needed. Sometimes we see these videos on YT and the person doesn't mention the problems u might encounter. So yes..u do get frustrated and give up. You are a great teacher ....very encouraging!
Best faux loc video for me ! I did it a bit differently but it was all without a crochet needle thanks to you. So fast, pretty and easy ! My client's hair was too short but I simply added extensions made from kinky hair and it turned out beautifully ! Thanks sis !
Hunni, I can't tell you how awesome you are for showing this. I can't cornrow to save my life!! This is something that I can definitely do to give my hair a manipulation break and it's a beautiful style. Thanks!!!
They are beautiful. You are beautiful. I've spent a ton of money getting others to do my hair. This inspires me to try it on my own. They are so natural looking!
I cut all my locs off in June after 15 years, I don’t miss them in general but some days I want them back temporarily. This is the first faux loc look I’ve seen that actually looks natural. I can’t wait to try this when my hair is just a little longer. So pretty and natural looking. Thanks for sharing. I’m actually going to try this technique with Senegalese twists this weekend. Love your videos, you’re such a Beauty!!!
Olgales Suida I considered doing the same but knowing how much I lack patience and wanting a cute short taper I opted to chop. Love the diversity of our hair. Hope your take down went well and you’re enjoying your new look.
OMG SIS!! I had seen this video and and thought I saved it ….. I just spent over an hour looking for it and saw the removal and found it!!! YASSSS this is the best method I have found that will best work with my hair issues at this moment. I will be using Boho Locs which has a loop and it’s clear where it is… so I am excited to try this method with them.
Thank you for sharing this. I too became discouraged when I couldn't apply my locs the original way. I searched for help and now I found your video. You are a blessing!!! Thanks love!😘
Thank you for this video!! I just did my hair and it was so easy!! The best part is, I can reuse this hair because the dread slides right out, no scissors needed!!!
You WON !!!!! I’m desperate to change my hairstyle from my everyday box braids , crochet braids or a simple Afro to THAT , for ages . Finally , I came across your channel and I must admit that your locs are the best I’ve ever seen . They look so damn natural !!!! So beautiful 😍 .. I’m done with my “research” , I’m copying you !!! Great job , Thank You
I love this method! Looks super natural and I am finally going to try faux locs because of this method. Usually I always give up because I get so frustrated with wrapping the bottom. But this method you just tuck your hair in!! GENIUS!!!!
Well done… I was gonna have someone do the old method of crochet locs for me… but after seeing this.. I’m gonna do this method myself. Thank you. Well done and nice makeup.
I just can’t get over this video. These locs are stunning! I’m in the bathroom with my 6 pks of 14 inch nu locs following step by step of this video! I love following you girl! Such a beautiful spirit
You look beautiful! Thanks for sharing. I have very weak edges, so not sure how to apply them to that area, so I'll keep checking. By the way, if you want a natural, safe way to get that mole off your face, try this. Take one strand of you own natrual hair, not too long; later you will understand why. Take the strand and wrap it around the mole, as close to the base of it as you can get. You can achieve this 'wrap' by using the same method as you did as wrapping the coils around the braids. When you have wrapped the hair around it a few times, pull tight and make a knot. Cut the visible portions left after tying the knot. That's it, now all you have to do is wait. The mole will fall off on it's own, as you have cut off its blood supply. Not sure how long it will take, but it should eventually fall off. It's a pretty big mole so it may take two to three weeks or longer. That's why you want to make sure the loose ends if the knot is cut off after you're done. If during the waiting it seems to be irritated, you can apply some hydrogen peroxide, or iodine to make sure it doesn't get infected. Try it, I did and it worked well. OK, this is not medical advice, and I am not a doctor, nor do I work in the medical field. You should even run this method by your own doctor and see what he/she has to say about itt. Just sharing something that worked for me, but we're all different. Felt like giving something back to you, as you shared your time on this video, and it was helpful. Thanks! Let me know if you try it and how it worked for you.
Omg!! I really want these but everyone was saying the loc isn’t easy to wrap. I went and looked at it today and got discouraged. I was gonna settle for the bomba locs which are cool too, but you saved me!!! I’m gonna give it a shot
This is the best video I’ve ever seen For faux kids. I’ve never seen it done this way. I will be trying it out I was hesitant about the needle pulling my hair out.
Omg. You are a life saver. I tried with a needed but I’m using the smaller locs so it was virtually impossible to do. ESPECIALLY the back of my head. So this way is a sure thing I think.
OMG you did a great job. Beautiful on you, love it. I will get my daughter to install for me because I would have a hard time doing the back of my head. God bless
Wendy Williams Simply Blessed Thanks so much! And yes, it can be a bit more difficult doing it in the back. But, if you stand in front of a large mirror it’s really helpful! ☺️
I'm so glad to see this , it looks so easy and I can't wait to try it out for myself 🤞🏽 I'm trying to learn to do my own hair cause it's super cheap here but I'm going abroad and won't have hundreds of dollars to spend on my hair
Watch this vid on friday, went and bought the locs and put them on yesterday...it looks great for a first time hair doer Also the method is so easy compared to the crchet needle, thanks for the tip.
This method looks way better than the crochet.. I just finished doing my faux locs using the crochet method and the braid at the top shows. So I’m going to try your method out (: thank you!!
Yes! I've not seen this method before! I have been wanting to put some faux locs back in for winter but they don't last long. My hair is fairly fine but I think this will work and I won't have locs slipping down my head
Literally on my way to the hair store to get this hair and do this style !!! I’ve been taking SO MUCH from your videos to get my look together so I can get channel started !!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH‼️‼️‼️ God Bless you girl
Thank You !!! Thank You !!! Thank You!!! There are so many videos out there and this one is the look I’ve been searching for. Very helpful, very easy step by step instructions.
The BEST!!! all I wished is that this hair came a little longer. In the bss the longest that I could find is an 18 inch. love this method and I still found a way to utilize it and still do goddess locs!

But the individual locs are wayyyy better than doing cornrows so I’m going to try this this weekend and take my time with it. Thanks for sharing Mary. Your hair looks stunning.

Great job on this tutorial. Trying today!! Also I liked that you twirled your finger around the lox. Makes it look more natural and less shiny. Hope mine will turn out just as nice!
I like this method better looks more comfortable and you can braid and add the hair at same time was looking for something simple and this is it thanks 😊👍
This was a great method, I’ve shared a few times. My hair isn’t as thick as so I’m going to try again since they snuck out and not as much hair per section. I still get compliments but would’ve loved them to appear thicker

GigglesnGaggie Thanks so much! 🙌🏾🙌🏾💞
Msnaturally Mary Why do they look so thin/small on the website (link) you provided?
GigglesnGaggie I agree
Paulette Hasty they're hollow. Her hair made it look bigger. The website probably did the regular method on the model.
Paulette Hasty I’m guessing they are fatter bec she unwinds them.
