Best and easiest tutorial I’ve ever seen w/o crochet needle bc crochet needle is not needed as you can see. I was waiting on the locs and crochet needle I ordered to be delivered when I saw this video. Guess I won't be needing the needle anymore because this method seems so simple and looks great. I love your methods, you are the queen of crochet !
I did this the exact way and my hair lasted 3 months. and when the ends were sticking out, I realized the braid was too big. tie the ends with rubber bands. I just took them down and tomorrow I get some more
I love that braiding at the root technique! I would feel much more comfortable trying this style using that technique instead. It looks so much more secure, and very natural. You did an amazing job, as always 💕

Sharatia Banks my hair is chaka khan thick down my back..and this for us. Is still a shorter amount of time then singles what r u really complaining about..this is cake esp for us!
You could probably start off with the braid, but twist the rest of the way down. I did some twists like that. Partially braiding then twisting helped cut down on time significantly.
instead of like unraveling it a little to get your hair inside of the crochet loc, do you think you could push the crochet needle through the middle and pull you hair through? or is it too small of a loc for that?

Wow. I didn’t know u can unravel naturally loc hair, I thought you would have to cut it off because it’s so tightly knotted. Good to know this
I had locs back in the late '90's and early 2000's 98-2002, and mine never locked. I took mine down, too!
