@@ricoooooooowell don’t worry im here for you because i was actually playing with my friends and then decided to take a rist and go down even deeper on the big cave we found after that i found myself dead and we we’re to scared to go down i had 49 pieces of iron so everyone makes mistakes
im going to make something clear, items dont always despawn, but not like you think. so there is chunks in Minecraft, chunks are 16x16 area. so if you dont load the chunk your items are in it wont despawn, but if you load it a 5 minute timer will start and at the end of it the items will despawn so in conclusion, dont load the chunks, lower your render distance and avoid the chunk until you are sure that you can get your items back @ricoooooooo @eduardolagman6969 @Villian-XD
Since this is only for Java I’ll add that on bedrock edition if you are playing on Xbox and maybe ps you can clip after you died and rewatch the clip to find where you died. Can someone confirm if ps has a similar clipping system to Xbox to see if this strategy works on both consoles?
It just sucks because I feel like I’m gonna lose my stuff like it’s gonna despond before I even get to it because I died about 2000 blocks away from spawn because I was looking for bastion and I was fighting blazes and I just realized I lost the thing that you need to craft netherite with but all my nether right ingots are in the overworld thank goodness
I just died in my furthest survival game yet with my 24 diamonds I had just collected. I spent 5 days on this world looking for diamonds and only found 2
Just lower your chunks to 2 so the items will never despawn until the chunk is loaded in which you died. After the chunk is loaded in which you died, the items will dissapper in 5 minuted.
This would have been really useful 10 minutes ago

Or use lunar so ur cords and only ur cords stay on screen 24/7
If i die in the nether i aint playing that world again... i lost my world where i was about to beat the dragon while playing casually not speedrunning

POV bedrock players:
You can still see quards.
Bedrock edition needs this
You can show coordinates
me who knows where they are but theyre 3500 blocks away:

Well useless unless spare one in your house and bed spawn
And your chances of dying to get it is like 10%
