Grew up on Randolph in the 80's and 90's. We had a great school and an amazing football team. I loved growing up here, especially when my mom started letting me take the path into NYC. Walked my amazing dogs *(cody and jackson) A million times at Brundage....also caught about 4000 fish out of shongum!

How time flies. I spent a good chunk of my youth growing up in Randolph. Many great memories, like playing Long Valley in peewee football. Lots of kids on bicycles roaming around, tree forts, baseball cards, trick or treating, playing jailbreak at night, and Star Wars figures. The HS had just been renovated, and I wanted nothing more than to play football for the Rams. Center Grove Elementary looks exactly the same, I still remember everyone singing on the bus on the last day of school. Many of those houses by Shongum Lake had just been built (78-79). The schools have always been great here, many great seeds planted. I think about it quite a bit and an opportunity to move my family here. My one gotcha having lived other places, is the idea of everything being in an HOA limits one's freedom. It's so strange looking on Zillow and seeing the price of our old house and others in the neighborhood, I hope the middle class still exists here.

I just submitted an application to an apartment community in Randolph. It is a gorgeous town and I would love to live there! I grew up in Pompton Lakes (about 30 minutes from Randolph) but moved to Newark last year for work/school. I am finished with school now and have been wanting to get out of Newark. Even though I don't live in the bad part of Newark, I still don't feel like I am at home. I miss the burbs and wildlife. I hope I get approved!

@@liveinjersey One question I have is, is Randolph LGBT friendly? I would be living there with my boyfriend and we want to move somewhere that is accepting and won't give us weird stares. Even though it is 2022, some people can still be a bit negative when it comes to gay couples.

@@NurseNick420 There was an LGBT event held at the County College of Morris earlier this year, here is a link to the event and there might be some other helpful links on the page as well. outinjersey.net/events/morris-county-pride-2022/
