Everyone in Louisiana runs aluminum boats but his boats are by far the most custom you can get. You made the right decision choosing them.
Andy really does work on the boats. Drove 11 hours to get him to get my rig corrected and he did the work on mine. Thanks Andy!!! Runs like it should!
Two big thumbs up to Kent! Thank you!!
Go check out Gator Trax and what they've got going on down in LA!
Kent great people and builds a great boat that will last life time and take beating. I have been in strike and lots of their duck hunting boat. That strike series super nice boat specially when you are gapping rangers, tritons. making them scratching thier head that a aluminum boat blow bying them. Wonder how long before all bass boat companies give you all seadeck over carpet option.
@@kwd1253 Heck yeah Kyle!
I appreciate what your doing with the small boat company's. I remember the old days when customer service was first. I appreciate your passion at what your doing.👍👍
Absolutely true! I think the pendulum is swinging back to Quality and Customer Serviice over Cheap Crap
This is my favorite over/under yet. I'm in the market this year and the Strike Series is top of the list. This seals the deal. I'll be ordering soon.
Did you buy one?
Rock solid rig built by great people! Awesome!!
100%
I honestly can vouch for the strike series aluminum bass boat. I’m from Springfield Louisiana and see them in action and been in them fist hand. From the owners, to the workers, to the boats they are 2nd to none... These boats will out preform any fiberglass, composite, and other aluminum bass boats on the market... these are the real deal. I have a very high end fiberglass/composite that I won’t name and I will say the strike series bass boat will outperform my boat in every category and I love my boat.
The glass rigs are very nice. But this is a totally different animal. Built from the ground up with a very different intent and customer in mind.
I have an uncle in Springfield.
I live in Thibodaux
Ordered my new 21' Strike Series last month. I was on the fence with it vs the X boat. I could have driven a few hours, plunked down the moolah, and brought the new X rig home. Then I would have spent more fixing it up the way I want it. In the end, I probably would have had around $10K difference for a .125" boat. Decided the extra $$ ($$) was worth not ever wishing I had got a different boat. I'm getting my retirement toy and my last boat. Kent is great to work with and gets back to me quickly. I am still figuring out the details but there is plenty of time as they have a 6 month backlog. Thanks Andy for another great over/under that cost me $$$!!!
I think the picture of the boat you used is mine 20 foot with a 250HO Evinrude
I took a test ride on 7 May 2021, in Alan's (one of the owners) 22' Gator Skin (LSU color) Strike Series, absolutely amazing. The driest, most comfortable and fastest (65 mph, for safety purpose) aluminum bass boat. I have mine on order. 20' Strike Series. Great video!
Heck Yeah buddy!!!!
@@TeamMarineService I know COVID restricted your movement, but what is the update on a factory tour in Springfield, La.?
Wow! I'm the first one to view. Lucky me.Gator Trax must be built like battleships! They look bad-a-- too!
Winner winner chicken dinner! 👍🏻🤣
2021 GatorTrax Strike 22 1/2' with 225 SHO (flashed to 336), dual 10" atlas jack plates stacked, dual TM battery mounting locations for changing weight and balance.
Soon to get a ballast tank up in the nose for easier changing of weight and balance. The boat rides fantastic and can quickly go from best MPH & MPG to best handling for turn & burn or really bad conditions. Not the setup for everyone, but I like to be able to adjust to my needs on the fly and this setup allows me to do just that.
Best boat that I have owned to date. One boat that does MOST of what I need.
It's a bass fishing battleship that handles like it is on rails. There are a few boats out there that will pass me... in calm conditions. Let the weather take a turn for the worst and the GatorTrax pulls ahead without looking back. Get into a twisty, narrow, shallow, debris riddled water and this boat SAFELY hauls the mail. 100% this is NOT the boat for everyone. It's TOUGH, it's fast, and it's customizeable. I wanted a boat to keep me and the family SAFE and this boat has always delivers. I use it for bass, bay, near shore, and bow fishing.
ALL running is done with full 50gallon tank, full live-well, all tackle and safety gear, and 2 passengers 180 and 150lbs.
25p Tempest Plus worked by Ronnie Gilbert, 77MPH @6000: best prop for speed and nose lift but walks a bit when over 74
25p PowerTech BRV worked by Ronnie Gilbert, 68-72 @5800: absolute best holeshot period, doesn't like to get over 5850 but when she clicks 59750-6000 will JUMP from 72 to 75-76 no walk
26p Fury4, stock, 65 - 70 @5800: Great prop but my boat is a little heavy to run it. When very light on fuel and load this prop will touch 75-77 and feels great but it needs to be worked
27p Bravo1, 74MPH @5950: Great prop, wasn't mine to keep
23p PowerTech RKR4, 67 - 69: Great prop, not mine to keep, didn't play with it too much and didn't find it had enough lift. Holeshot was breakneck.
25p Trophy Plus worked by Bo: 70-72: One of the best props I ever had for many motors. Bites great and always delivers. Have to be gentle on the throttle coming out of the hole
Looking to get my hands on a Yamaha T1 in 26 or a SOLAS Scorpion 26, and a VMX4 in 25. That should be JUST about perfect. Ran a few other props, but they're not in my notes.
Andy ,Gator Trax Boats also have Suzuki Outboards ! Just thought I let you know looked at their Website, their boats look pretty good for a aluminum Boat.
Hands down the best built best customer service boat in America. I've had mine for two years after owning seven brand x boats. I would and will be buying again from Gator Trax !!! The trailers they are sitting on are top of the line!!!
I'm also excited about the new friction hinges they are using.
It would be my first choice
Great break down
I have a Gator Trax, have beat the crap out it, 5 years in its is showing no weakness. Love it, looking at buying a second. FISH ON!
I ordered a boat from them and Kent always responds to emails super fast. They will literally build anything you want. Super nice people!
Thumbs up to GT and everything they are about!
@@TeamMarineService I ordered mine 3 weeks ago (strike series 20). Always responded < day. Great communication. For me it’s about having a haul that will be solid when I retire! Andy also thanks for that power pole charger video.
Just looked at one and man they are nice
They most definitely are Garry!
I’m a glass man through and through until I started researching this company. Can’t wait to get one
I have seen and had my hatches blown off by a gator trax. They are a sweet ride. Well worth the money in my eyes.
My next boat will be a Gator Trax 22’ Strike. I fish Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend for bass and crappie out of my glass bass boat. I also fish for redfish, flounder and speckled trout on the salt inshore waters in a bay boat. This boat can do both very well. It a no brainer for me.
I have heard very good things about Gator Trax boats. Thanks for your awesome video. Always enjoy viewing your videos.
They are amazing at gator trax .
The Navy Blue 21' Strike Series youtube video is mine. I couldn't be happier.
Would you change anything on your build?
The only thing I would change? Have a 22' built! 😀
@@robshaw9519 I got to step into a Gator Trax briefly, I was very impressed. The flooring is incredibly comfortable. Built like battle tank. I’m pretty sure my next boat will be a Gator Trax.
Still loving your gator trax I’m pretty sure it will be my next and last one
Gator Trax has a great video about 5 years ago on their Strike Series. Good watch to understand the quality in these boats.
The white strike they just posted is mine. Couldn't be happier, super excited about the 300 Suzuki!
We gotta check that baby out! AWESOME!!!
They are very nice boats! Customer service is the most important part of a business!
The best sales pitch I have heard!!!! Because it is all true!! Great vid…
It most definitely is! They are the ONLY tin rig that's Team Marine approved!
All I can say is "AMEN BROTHER" These people operate with integrity.. their customer service and boats are bar none AMAZING! Love the reviews Bro and we subbed!
#truth!!! 🇺🇸

@@TeamMarineServicewhat about the new express boat, how would you compare to this
Been in love with Gator Trax!! Thanks so much for this video!!
Ordered mine a year ago, picking it up in a week or so.
How are you liking your gator trax
@@Jp12-h1y yep, like it. Had it over a year now. I'm sure it will last to pass down to my grandsons.
Need to mention that trailer is aluminum also . I have seen them do cheaper steel trailers before but not sure if they still do.
Gator Trax is my dream bass boat.
Loved the video and keep coming with the quality information. How about Xpress X21 or X19 next?
I have a 2006 Gator Trax with a 35 hp mud buddy. Have talked to these guys several times they couldn't be nicer people. They'll build you the boat you want. I'd love to have one of they're strike series boats.
They build Gator Trax about 20 miles down the road from me. I’ll never be able to afford a Strike Series but once I get out of credit card debt I’ll be saving for a really nice center console GT. I’m so impressed with their work and the boats the build.
Oh thats awesome JoJo! Pay that card down and get you that GT buddy! Good Luck!!!
I can't afford one, but I love watching Kent talk about his boats. When I hit the big time lotto I've got about 3-4 different boats I'm gonna be asking Kent to build for me, bass boat, catfish rig, duck blind, and a multipurpose boat for the Everglades baby. Love Gator Trax boats, just need the money. :)
We love what Kent's got going down there! GT's are hands down the best
Probably couldn't design one boat to do it all , just tellum what u want to do and they build it
I live in Louisiana, I should have looked at them instead of Express, they do make quality boats for sure🤙🤙🤙🤘🤘🤘
Keith Poche got me interested in Gator Trax. Think I'll buy one someday
Whoa he actually said it! PERFORMANCE ALUMINUM BASS BOAT!!! 2021 is starting off in a weird way! Hahaha Great video guys!
Hahahaha Yeah I said it!
@@TeamMarineService You would be hard pressed to find a Strike owner who disagrees with you.
Great video as always. Love the passion and honesty Andy. I’m not unhappy with my service people but I know where I would take my boat if I was closer. Keep it up sir.
I'm 11 hours away and I take my boat to him. Andy you can tell them on a video of how I found you and drove 11 hours for you to look at my boat and get my brand new 225 vmax sho set correctly.
The white and lime green center console strike series on RUclips is my brothers boat. Awesome boat.
Oh thats awesome Jared!!!
I have a Gator trax and it's the best rig I've ever had
We believe it
@@TeamMarineService I was going to comment on your video regarding prop selection. It wouldn't let me
You still loving your gator trax
@Bassdude1971 yes, I'll never own another mud boat
Egggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggslent. Thanx for sharing. You Rock!
As everyone knows I've been a big fan of Gatertrax for a long time but I finally priced out a boat and it was way more expensive than I would of thought. Plus some comfort/utility items that come standard on many high end bassboats you can't even get. For some it still maybe worth it but I just purchased a 2019 921 pheonix pro xs. Ofcourse it was way less expensive because it's used but it had a Suzuki 250ss with 170 hours on it. For $35k less. Tbh I will miss a few custom things I wanted but I just couldn't spend that kind of money. Just FYI the custom options I added only bumped the price maybe $2k if not less. Unless you count the seadek which was $5200. I don't know how much less the hydroturf costs.
Oh no doubt the GT is expensive but a fella can always call Kent down there and have it built out with far less they what we did for significantly cheaper. Still it is an expensive rig but it will definitely last and hold up over time.
@@TeamMarineService my stratos is 22 years old and still kicking and I bet the pheonix is built better. So in 20 years I'll be 68. Probably around my end of fishing. Anyone looking for a 1998 stratos 201xl with a 1999 200hp and a 1999 trailer? Many new parts $9800
If Kieth Poche can’t tear one up, you know it’s a great built boat!😜😂😂
80 mph wow that is freaking awesome. Sounds like they got it figured out. Yet another great vid from you all. Andy team marine you all put in the work to give ppl honesty of what is out there. Cant wait to try the scorpion prop.
They're the ballistic of the aluminum world. Ordering the day boxes on mine as well as the zuke, for about $20k less than yours.
No disrespect! Love your channel an they hit it out of the ball park with these boats!!!
Blue one on the website looks like something out of a sci-fi movie
I agree Gator Trax sounds like they have outstanding customer service. It's not every day someone is spending 100k on a boat, so you'd best be so polite that it hurts lol
Especially, unless I am mistaken, it is still an aluminum boat.
Awesome information!
Looked at their boats, they are extremely nice. Super nice features on this boat there are still some loose ends to me for.$80k+... the hatch lids i seen did not look finished on the under lips. The friction hinge seems like it would great but I would want to test it out on some rough water and see how it stays down if someone forgets to latch it closed.. and contrary to what u said everyone one of those hatch doors closed it sounds exactly like every other aluminum bass boat out there. But overall a very nice boat !! But never $80k+ in any bass boat.
Yes you are on point!! Gator Trax Boat’s are Top Notch 👍
What's everyone's thoughts on the center console version of the strike series?
I frigging love mine. Lots less duck and cover moments when I'm running ditches. Soooo handy if you fish alone mostly
Great video, great to hear about some true quality from people that care
Can you plzzzz do big O boats
I say Xpress X21 and X19 fall in the same category. Do a video on them and maybe compare the difference between them and the Gator. Great videos👍🏼
How can you compare a .125 gauge boat filled with foam and not a piece of extrusion to a 190 gauge boat filled with extruded aluminium?
It’s not even close comparison
Express boat ain't in the same category
Thanks for a great review! Do you think you can add a SeaArk Easy Cat to your over and under review. Looking at getting one in the near future. Thanks again!!
What is your thought on Xpress boats?
Awesome video! I had the same experience a couple years ago with them and wanted to buy one. I still regret not going down to test drive one. Probably my next boat if this fxr ends up a bust.
That's actually a good price for that setup, badass looking boats too!
I have one of the originals and can attest to everything in this video.
Heck yeah James!
Can they add foam in them? Or is it really needed to make it quite on the water
Great content Andy first time hearing about Gator trax strike series looks like an incredible aluminum bass boat. Would it be possible to do an over /under on a Lund 2075 Bass Pro V for your Canadian subscribers Lund is an extremely popular brand in this neck of the woods :)
Of course we can do that for ya!
Merci mon ami 🇨🇦
I bought one a year and a half ago. Its a great rig. Had a few wtf's on gatortrax rigging, but in the end most of it was taken care of. Ill just say that Kent is a salesman. Allan is the owner.
What concerns on the rigging? I’m 30 days out from my build
@@robbaize4193 prop shaft was bone dry (hub was seized on shaft. I let gt know, kent said that they come greased from the factory. I think he is mistaking the grease that is to prevent rust during storage for marine grease. I had to cut the solex hub off of my prop shaft with a die grinder. Seastar helm leaked hydraulic fluid. Helm was replaced locally but still leaks not sure if it is a design flaw or what, but original helm bolts were stripped when installed.
@@jeffbridges7009 hope it all works out, since I’m buying 20ft CC strike series and shipping to Cali. First new outboard owner so much to learn to care and maintain. Did you pick up in person? I ask because I have thought of taking a flight to see on-site before shipping. It will be fully rigged there at GT. I appreciate your time and response.
@@robbaize4193 I drove out from nm to pick it up. They are pretty good about paying to fix things locally unless it is major, then you get it to them somehow for them to fix. They only paid the tech at the shop where i live one hour for labor for changing out the helm. I covered the other two hours. Gt said that it only takes one hour to drain out hydraulic fluid from old helm, remove old (steering wheel, helm), install new helm, refill hydraulic fluid, and bleed out all the air. I'm wondering how that would be possible. I didn't want to upset gt so I payed the other two hours out of pocket. Just pissed me off because in the video Kent says boat comes with a lifetime warranty, and that any problems arent the buyers problems, but are gt's problem. Turned out that the keaking helm was 1/3 gt's problem and 2/3 my problem. Dont get me wrong. The boat itself is fantastic, but it may be worth the piece of mind to fly out there and see if Allen can haul you and your new boat to the tickfaw river and check everything out before paying big $ on shipping it to you.
@@robbaize4193 I should be bringing mine to Oregon here in a few months. I'm making the trek out there to pick it up, and taking another week to fish my way back home. 21' with a 300 zuke. We should have a west coast GT Get-together!
Can't thank you enough for this one. Great job!
Not on topic with the video but in your guys opinion. 2016-2018 era. Would u buy a boat with a sho or a 2 stroke pro xs. I’m looking at a Phoenix and not sure what motor to look for. Thanks in advance. Love what you guys are doing.
I see lots of gator trax around but most of them have mud motors on them. Xpress is another one I see a lot. I never been in a gator trax but I have lots of experience in Xpress and idk xpress has great performance 21' bass boat.
Thank you amazing
Gator Trax is build better than any other aluminum bass boat. I had talk to Gator Trax a few years back for every thing on the boat and was like $48k. Gator Trax can't do Yamaha can only do Suzuki i asked a few years back. If you want a great boat build by hand quality made boat it was Gator Trax
They make the absolute baddest aluminum on the water. But they are expensive, but worth every penny.
#truth! Spot on Chance
Off topic, but do you know where to buy the solas scorpion with the solas adjustable vents? Having trouble finding a vendor that can verify that they have the newer solas scorpion prop.
Another great video man. Merica! I was digging through my dads old fishing stuff and found a brochure on the old Razor aluminum bass boat. What were they like?
I'm about to go look at their site
At 80K I agree that you want a direct relationship with the top guy. I don’t want that much money tied up in a boat but I will look at what they offer.
Going to avid next Friday to tour the shop and talk to them
This is going to be a great video
Thanks buddy!
Getting ready to buy a basscat...can we do one on those please.
You got it
Yes! Basscat review!!!
80k for an aluminum bass boat? I'm sure they're nice, but aluminum will sit high and get blown around easier. If I'm spending 80k I'm getting fiberglass. Gator trax makes a heck of a duck boat though.
They sit just like a glass boat 3200lbs.
@@davidegeland2380 maybe so. I had a V18 tournament tracker, and it rode great, but it sat higher (because aluminum has a shallower draft) and got blown around easier. I guess the technology has come a long way in 15yrs. I never would have thought they weighed so much. Thanks for sharing.
@@Titus4554 I have videos on my page you can checkout. These boats have enough aluminium extrusion in them to build 2 bass trackers. These things are MONSTERS!
@@davidegeland2380still loving your gator trax
@@Jp12-h1y HELL YES !!!!
do one on xpress boats
The only thing I hate is they don't offer a padded front deck. Git a bad back and that's a must. Any comment on the Xpress 20ft bass boat? I saw where Luke Dunkin and Jason Christie run on now with Bill Lowen.. just curious if you know anything about them. Doubt I could get a padded deck in it either lol. What boats are next?
They do offer sea deck which better than carpet in my opinion and has some cushioning. Sea Decking is easy to clean and they have a bunch of colors to match the boat.
@@RP-xk8ji Love the sea dek just need a lil padding. Bad knee and back so need a lil padding
And hydro turf!
With seadek you can get padding as thick as you want so do research before making a commitment please. Hope that doesn't come off mean. I don't intend it to.
@@adamportner8102 not at all sir. Biggest they can do i believe is 9mm
Please do over/under on a express bass boat
You got it!
What about a bass boat getting passed by a pontoon boat😞I saw it happen at Lake Fork,Texas😕😄Good stuff Andy🤓
Man you have to do the xpress x21 aluminum BASS BOAT. has a pad like a glass boat. Rides like a glass boat. And mine does 80! More if I can learn to drive the chine walk. Look at my videos! Its there doing 80! And they are around 50k!
i looked at these a couple years ago, look at the you tube video they did 7 years ago about the extruded material the use
Gator Trax for the win!
What about sea ark boats?
I'm surprised you didn't price with a Suzuki
How about a walk around
Fiberglass is superior and handles way better than the thickest aluminum boats. Been there done that aluminum on rough water is a no go.
That is exactly what we thought but these guys down at Gator Trax really think they've got the answer. We will be giving one a test rip this summer for sure
All glass boats come in a distant second
It's still an aluminum boat that laps against the chop when you are fishing and gets blown around like a tuna can in the wind. Not saying it's not the best out there. But, you can buy a house for that much money that won't depreciate when you drive it off the lot. imo.
can the boat handel rove water
Xpress next?
Waiting to hear back from them
We need a over/under bass cat erya!
83k is what all top boats cost fully rigged and more but the Gator Trax can be your dream boat
The top boats Andy's done so far come in over $90k. Don't think any of them can top the Strike Series.
Could you do a over under of Bass Cat boats please?
I have o 100% agree. Not over...just right. You get what you pay for.
We own a mid sized family company mfg conveyors for McDonald’s, Coke, Little Debbie, P&G, etc. we have excelled due too two things invocations and customer service.
We’re not too big you can speak to an owner and if there is an issue that the end user can’t resolve we will fly our engineers in to resolve.
So here you speak so highly of gatortrax, the owners, their personnel; they just jumped to the top ofMy new bass boat search.
You now just have to convince me me why I need this boat over a Caymas glass boat considering I’m riding in a mint condition 97 hydra sport 270z designed and built by earl bentz.;‘who now is producing Caymas.
83k I’m in a Caymas cx20 with almost the same features.....according to dealers.
Great comment Matthew! You are spot on!! Caymas over /under is coming up soon!
They will leave a caymas sitting still. A lot steeper pad means more speed. They are also built to slide up over trees and stumps without knocking a hole in them.
Cause you'll be sorry if you get the Caymas
How much cheaper would a Suzuki 250ss be?
Xpress does too on my Second
They aren’t even in the same relm. Express are cheap tin boats in comparison
