Awesome video Cameron 👍. Great job fighting that fish, using different rod angles is so important fighting fish in current. Also love seeing you fishing with your parents 👏.
Thanks Rod! glad you liked the video. Ya was a great day with the family and they had a great time :) Adding to that a steelhead on your tackle made the day even better 😊
@@TyeeFishingCo. thanks bro! I appreciate that. Used to fish the vedder every weekend when we could. Now out in Alberta, it’s not the same 😢. These fish out here don’t compare to a steelie or coho
@@TyeeFishingCo. No disrespect to myself...catch and release is mainly for bass? All the things I learned in biology say these fish come to spun, and afterwards die? Like they can never make it back to the ocean? I'm not a smart man, that being said...I'd eat them and all I could eat, I'd give to the poor.
Thanks for the sub and happy you liked the video, Im actually in the Netherlands now so I’ll be fishing for species such a Zander and perch and pike! Good luck out there on the water.
Dude don’t worry, I didn’t catch my first steelhead the first 2 years and a bit since I started fishing for them. So don’t worry but the best advice I can give is cover water, and fish inside seams and fish tail outs! Hope this helps :)
Thanks! And for sure if you plan a trip for steelhead try to come around February or march. There are more steelhead in the system, and still comers around.
Awesome job to u and oiliver and have u tried putting ur bead on the hook i saw like rod and brock and sum other guys doing it and i thought id try it during salmon season and my landing rate went up alot but just thought i whould reccomend it once again great vid
Thanks Grayson, I read your previous comment but had to reupload so sorry about that. About your question, the bead on the end of the hook is definitely a proven method that catches fish. I have used the method my self and have had good results, but I have more confidence with the pegged bead so I’ve been using it. It’s important with the pegged bead to have the right size and make of hook for the size of bead. As-well as use a bead peg that holds the bead in place, this way lessening the chances of the bead sliding down the line obstructing the hook. I also find if I want to add some yarn to the bead using the pegging method, I can make the yarn more secure. Good luck out there!
@@BorntoFishBC I remember running into you and your buddy, hope the day out there went well! I actually caught the fish the day before, it was one dude I think haha. Hope you have a good season on the riv, should be a good one!
Thanks, happy you liked it! It’s actually a duck sound and it’s to block out swearing, so I can have the video as kid friendly. Sorry about that, it’s something that I’m improving on hahaha
Best video I’ve seen in a while
Thanks Frans, my guy!

@@shockadellick Steelhead have the ability to spawn multiple times. They aren't like the other salmon species in which they die after spawning.
