- This was one of my favorite fishing adventures of all time. Epic day of fishing on an amazing river in the middle of a picturesque forrest. British Columbia has some amazing scenery and some epic fishing. This was my first time ever traveling to Canada and I hope it's not my last.

We’re Jealous!! Canada has always been on my bucket list. Looked like an awesome trip.
catching my first steelhead is on my bucket list 😂
Fuck that 60$ bullshit. Especially if your an out of state fishermen that’s only going to be there for a short period of time.
Canada was awesome. I would definitely recommend making a trip up there
Would absolutely love to see addicted come up to British Columbia we have some absolutely majestic rivers up north
They held back on stocking the rivers because they didn't want people fishing during covid salmon was bad this year too.
Anyone else notice the nice fish that swims up at 21:40? It appears in the water just under the rod by the 1st eyelet (closest to the reel), swims around for a bit while he's distracted.
That second big fish is a bull trout, very hard to find in the us but more common in Canada
Thanks for the ID!
love your videos..
next time your in canada again find the classified water of the white river for massive bull trout...
Been watching you for years. I’m from Vancouver. Glad to see come out to Canada. Looks like the vedder river to me. Good luck fishing
That’s a solid bulltrout for the vedder 👌
Always authentic videos, never forced, copied, or scripted. One of TOP 2 Channels on the Tube👊🏾
Great video Adam. Awesome to see the steelhead jumping, that was quite the fight. I like the commentary style editing; it adds to the overall quality when making a longer video. So, kudos on a very successful trip all around.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love this video bro! As a Canadian, we only measure snow in cm! Fish are measured in inches 😂
Gotcha, still a Canada newbie lol
Awesome content. You are like the Fish Whisperer bro. Even when no one is catching fish, Die Hard Fishing say "hold my beer" and gets it done.
Welcome to Canada! This is my local river awesome to see you get tight lined and bent up, congrats on the first Canadian steely and dolly!
Thanks 👍
You have wonderful fish karma! It is because you respect the sport of fishing and follow the fishing regulations. I really love the way you handle the fish especially since you release the fish gently.
Great job Adam! 🐬🐬🐬
21:39 is that a fish behind the rod and Adam's hand???
Good stuff. You might not have heard the phrase before, but "low and to the left" is a good tool to put into your book when landing big fish from the bank. Eyefish coined the phrase, but it will really bring bigger steelhead and kings to shore much quicker. Forces their heads out of bigger water and you get more control. Especially good technique if you're not trying to wear out wild fish. As a life long salmon and steelhead fisherman, just thought I'd throw that your way. Looked like a fun trip! You know you're a steelheader when you leave the country alone to chase em!!
Thanks for the tip!
Does it matter which way the current is going? Genuinely curious
@@Enrichie yes, even though the saying is always low and to the left for some dumb reason, if he were on the other side it would be low and to the right. Essentially just want to angle your road towards the bank instead of out into the river. If that makes sense.
@@Enrichie line in the water effects the direction a fish is headed far more than people think. It started in boats I imagine, but just think about it next time you fight a fish and which way they head in relation to the road angle.
My dude is officially addicted to steelhead. Props on the hard work and effort put into it!
Great Vid... you've definitely got what it takes... greetings from Canada... now we need to get you brook trout fishing in Ontario))
You had a good instinct from experience. Nice fish. Good trip. Been on about 5 steel trips with no fish. Glad you got that beauty
I'm convinced you could catch a fish in a flash flood on a desert highway. Looked like a fun trip.
Adam you don’t every have to fish alone. I am off Sunday thru Tuesdays. Let me know and I will go with you for company.
Excellent example of what is called reading the water Adam! Congrats!
Awesome job landing that bright chrome
Great trip, love the steelhead content.
Thanks for sharing your set . Keep up the good work.. Idea for next salmon trip, where I fished in the past is Sitka Alaska. Sawmill creek..
You will have a blast, been there done that but on the east coast. Still was a blast and you will have fun. Big fish and good people, enjoy bro. Some beautiful fish that last one had some great coloring on it. Our trout season starts this Saturday here in Vermont and we are on it, can't wait. Till then I have watching you to keep me going. Thanks kid for your time made me drool can't wait till this weekend here.
love the play-by-play narration! Awesome vid!
Okay Adam, you take me steelhead fishing and I'll take you musky fishing. The states or Canada work, you catch a musky... You'll never forget. Great video. When musky fishing it's the same thing, run and gun, but when they hit.... Hold on.
Cooked shrimp is a great bait for so many species but especially bass and walleye.
And did I mention everything eats shrimp?
Like everything !
Thanks Adam, great video and pretty fish.
Way to go Adam, so glad you figured it out on Day2! You were on fire!
Bull Trout. You need to hit the Quinault Indian reservation next winter on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. Its a pretty crazy experience, huge fish and usually lots of them.....
I know the system well. You did so good for your short trip! Well done bro
Adam great video. Thanks alot for sharing. Go Giant's!
Cool video! Bull trout in Oregon fight like crazy and are so much fun to catch.
What should you do next?…You should come to Oregon and teach me (a newby) how to fish. I recently purchased a 21’ North River Seahawk and have no clue how to fish…accept Kokanee. I live 2 min from the Columbia and also have a beach house near Garibaldi (Tillamook Bay), I figured I needed to take the plunge on a boat if I wanted to learn anything😀.
I dig your calm no-stress demeanor! Killer vids!
Looks like you've caught the fever! I've had a bad case of Steelhead fever for 50 yrs. Its been a great adventure
Man Adam! you stuck it! Toad Steelhead! great footage too... Congrats! you made it look easy! thanks again for the great content. take care.
It's nice when a real Fisherman show you how it's dun 💯 love your videos
This is one of my favs from your channel. I watched it on my TV multiple times. Steelhead is the 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 I watched all your episodes for your first steelhead also which is how I came across your channel. Keep it up. STEELHEAD Fish On !!!
Glad you hooked up. Thanks for handling the fish so respectfully. Come back again sometime.
Great video. What a beautiful trip to Canada.
Thank you for your very hard efforts man. Great vid. Keep on fishing!
Adam you do such a great job on this videos…
And every year, it’s the rain and certain weather that pushes them into the rivers and sometimes the runs are smaller or they run at nite and it’s only a few days.. or short spurts and you just gotta be there when they come in. They’ll be there all winter though til spring spawn.
Chilliwack? Veddar? Welcome to beautiful British Columbia.
Do you know the name of the place he stated at?
Canada is just across the bridge from me. I'm going trolling for steelhead, Lakers and coho tomorrow or the next day.
Very nice video! Whirlpool water is called an eddy!
Awesome!!! For me every time I fish or hunt in Alaska or Canada. I have either have 50 cal., 44 mag. or a bear spray with me.
I don’t normally comment but man today cant help it. That was an awesome fishing man. Especially a new spot from another country… ohhh man thats just great fishing! Two Thumbs up bro 👍🏽👍🏽 And Badabing badaboom👊🏾👊🏾😁😁
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the vid!
Comment 100 🎉- great content man! Always catching, always educating the viewers. Definitely inspired me to get out there more. Tight line’s brotha 🙏
Great job man. Love the attitude...
Congratulations on the Canadian steelhead!
From the bay area dudes you're creating the best content without a doubt
I live in southwest washington. We got a lotta steelhead. Steelhead runs are definitely odd. The departments seem to be off on predictions. They show up every year for sure. You an always get one if your timing is right and you put in the time. But when they really show up they show up huge. I’ve seen shorelines where 100 people get fish in like a half hour
Awesome video man! Way to get it done solo!
Dude @ 21:40 on your right hand side you had a fish coming while you were hooked😱
Super Sick Video Adam ‼️ Awesome when a plan all come together 🍻‼️
Sadly I’m jealous you hooked up to a steel head on my home river before I did!!! Great job!
Hatchery clipped trout on the vedder are steelhead smolts. Also did you fish in march or April? April there is a closer. No fishing above the crossing
Another awesome steelhead video. I absolutely love steelhead fishing so I say more chrome.
I really enjoy watching your videos Adam and your friendly , happy ,personality is a major plus besides the great fishing you are showing us in your videos . Thank you greetings from Canada
Very enjoyable adventure! What a day....amazing.
Great video from the commentary and editing perspective too Adam!
At 13:40 you are right, walking alone in Canadian woods can be dangerous! Bear spray is ok, a 357 magnum pistol is better.
Consider yourself very fortunate to catch a Bull Trout, people put many hours into catching one and some never do... Great Catch... Your content is good. Well presented and Well filmed... Thank You
Great post! It took me years to catch my first steelhead.. Thanks!
Next time you travel north to British Columbia let me know I can show you around, I’ve fished the local rivers for over 35 years and know the river you were fishing in this video quite well
Hey you never give up you always say this my last cast and then continue
Great format in this video. Really digging the narrative setup of upcoming scene.
Hey, my home river and one of the best. The Vedder/ Chilliwack river. Had some great times and fishing memories on the river and I hope you do/did too.
Fishing seems to be very interesting, have the opportunity to try
Absolutely crushed it, awesome work! 🤙
WELCOME TO B.C. ENJOY THE FISHING and COME BACK. I am in VANCOUVER. U need to go BIGGGG STURGEON fishing. STAY in our RV?????
Canada has lot of pure nature to offer. Maybe it's just me but Americans seems to think Canada is some hick town country and we all have accents. We aren't that much different than any of you. We just have shit ton of nature and less people. I'm glad you had a good time and hopefully you'll make more visits. Awesome to see good etiquettes from your fishing trip (handling fish, quick release, keeping fish in the water).
You should definitely come to bc when it’s salmon season fishing gets crazy here
Nice to see you've made it up here to BC 🇨🇦, am I right? Truly a Die Hard fishing adventure heading to Canada to blitz fish for two days! Nice trout. We have cutthroat up here too. Beautiful silver bullet of a fish! Congratulations! What a fight from the second steelhead! So exciting to watch!
Yep, BC! Thanks for watching!
When you have a fish down blow you like the buck you caught try lowering your rod down then pull up stream and that will. Turn the fish to come up to you. Give it a try. Griz from Wash.
Whatever I'm fishing for at the time is pretty much my favorite fish to fish for. However, out of all the fishing I do here in the NW I think Steelhead hunting might really be my favorite. It really is more like hunting than fishing sometimes. Possibly the most memorable fish I've caught was a 13 pound native Steelhead way up an Oregon river that was only about 25 feet wide at that point.
This video was really fun to watch. Makes me want to schedule another trip to the coast.
Felt like I was there with you. Great video.
Start using a fly rod too for a challenge, you will eventually get bored of catching them when you figure out the routine. They love beads and jigs on a float ‘ what I mostly used ‘ bought a 7 wt 10’ fly rod and now have a whole new hobby . Streamer and Nymphing for steelhead
Excellent video, man. Great job!
I'm so shocked you managed to get 2 on a day, very few pro anglers here have done that. I fish the river frequently and never caught one steelhead, truly unbelievable but you taped it!
Welcome to Canada!! Cool to see you get a few fish up here. There’s a lot more to go so if you want to come up again one day let me know😁
Cool to see ya on the local flow! Coming from a local river rat. this is a VERY successful trip indeed! Congrats on landing some Canadian Steel man! ☑️🎣 🇨🇦
That is a nice Bull Trout!
Some places don't clip a fin. Sometimes they do something different
Excellent video, Adam. Thanks for sharing dude!
Like others have said, you should be super stoked to catch bull trout. They are relatively rare in the U.S. due to habitat loss and degradation in water quality. Only bull trout I’ve caught were deep in the Bob Marshall Wilderness in MT.
Wow nice fishing thanks for you 🧡
Awesome trip man. You're living the dream! Great to see you growing as a fisherman and person. Great content!
Big sturgeon in fraser river those are massive fish size of a shark😅
That bull trout is in the char family, not really a trout but a great catch, I caught a lot of Dolly Varden in Alaska very similar and also a char
Beautiful….fish on🤙🏽😃
Hope you had a great time in BC!
Nicely done!!! Those were some beautiful fish. It’s always a great feeling when a plan comes together. Our season in MN was challenging this year too. In spite of my efforts, I didn’t catch any 😔 There’s always next year.
Steelhead! Still trying to get my 1st, fly fishing.
Adam great effort! That's so typical of you. You have family, friends and many viewers that appreciate you. So just a little coaching. Bear mace and floatation device in those types of places please. Especially if you are alone.
Good for you brother!!! A solo trip is great once a while!
You literally just came fishing in my backyard. Also seems like you stayed right in my neighborhood too. I'll tell you this, I've seen some serious anglers going really hard to catch their steelhead this year and they were unsuccessful. You can really feel extremely blessed for what you've experienced and the good weather!
I am also glad to see you posting this footage of areas that are now closed to fishing lol
FYI... the largest west coast kayak salmon fishing derby happens on the last weekend of August on the island :)
good stuff excellent video!!
Man keep fishing in Canada show more rivers..
Awesome trip man .
And nice Bull!
Dude Canada? hell yeah!😂😂
