David AttenBoxer is an excellent narrator! The billet blocks are bloody beautiful, but it's still astounding how much power you can get out of barras with standard block and head castings. Can't wait to see the engine build video. I hope you get HEAPS of views and new subscribers out of it, and I hope Anth gets some new customers out of it as well.
Hi guys I have an FG 2009 gas bottom end I have a BF turbo head on it just curious is there a difference in the cc head from the FG gas head to the turbo head would it lower the compression ?? roughly what sort of boost should I put through this on 98 and what would it handle?? appreciate any help thank you cheers Tony...👍
Hey Boxer, I have a MY00 CBR1000F that's partly in bits with 65K on it, the brakes needed replacing and I was going to give it a birthday but got carried with another project and a new GSXS1000. I have all the original parts and most of the new brake parts are you interested in having a look, I'm in SA.
The mounts are different, but the mounts position is the same. Good point on the oil filters though. Anth did say we'd probably miss a few things, so well spotted.
Great question. We should do a video on it. According to the interweb… Grouting is one method of strengthening the lower regions of a block. A special compound is poured into the coolant jacket up to the level of the welch plugs.
ba/bf stock rods are the issue not the block. later turbo rods are beefier so can handle more power on a stock bottom end. when they were discussing early blocks getting destroyed it's a result of rod failure not block failure.
Love the opening commentary! Superb!
Legend motor. Jerks for stopping Aussie production...
Great information 🤙🍻

Man thanks man. Love spending time with that guru
Who got the first Billet block running. Curious..

Hey mate,
I appreciate the offer, but I just got another bike project 🤦♂️🤪
intro was rad
Glad you liked it. Thought it’d be a fun idea
She’s a beauty mate what crank and rods u using ? I’ve seen Nitto 3.8 l cranks lets the engine rev a bit higher
My engine is using PPM rods and a 4.0L PPM billet crank 💪🏻
They take different oil fliter and motor mount

Can't wait for your build mate

What is grouting?
Great question. We should do a video on it.

Great idea, people will watch.
I'm was here for the bikes, now I'm watching old taxis being restored :)
What the hell changes between the BA/BF blocks that changes it from handling 500hp to 1800hp?!
1800hp from a stock BF block? Good luck
ba/bf stock rods are the issue not the block. later turbo rods are beefier so can handle more power on a stock bottom end.

@@6226superhurricane that makes heaps more sense, thank you
I have a gas motor do I have to drop the comp for turbo
No, but chat to your tuner about how much boost you can comfortably run
