  • Huge thanks to the guys at Bullet Race Engineering for giving me a peek at the already made full CNC machine billet Ford Barra engine blocks. They do look amazing and it has me thinking... Maybe
Anyway, comment below, how much power do you think they'll handle and how fast will people go with them?
To check out all of the Bullet gear, head to www.bulletraceengineering.com.au or find them on Facebook or Instagram under the same name.

Australia needs to start manufacturing cars again. Regardless of domestic price. For such a small population, you have had such a huge positive influence on the automotive industry world wide.

All our local car industry wanted was $19 government subsidy per car. Compare that to Germany's $200ish. Idiot Hockey said, "Poor people don't drive cars." What a dope! Gawd I hate Right Wing government almost more than I hate religious zealots. At least with religious zealots know you're a nobody heathen going to hell. Right Wing governments rip the guts out of education and workers rights then tell the workers if they still want jobs they had to do it because of the Left.

Australia has many well engineered products like the Ford Barra engine which is only now being discovered by American Tuners.
Australia has some great engineering and manufacturing capacity and has to restart its manufacturing operations.
When push comes to shove, many international manufacturing close their manufacturing here because their governments give incentives to restart manufacturing back in their home country leaving many talented Australians out of work.
Australia needs to be self sufficient and restart manufacturing / design on their own.

I mentioned CS because it was not Denver which would have been at another level but neither was it some little Podunk little burg in the middle of nowhere as long as it STAYED TOGETHER which wasn't allllllll that long!!! Aussie Ford Falcon must be proud compared to merc, I serviced many Taxi Ford over 700k km. and beside Camry Taxi 400k + km done. However, ford needs a lot more to do, I am sure we can jump over German products.

Awesome, this means the Barra boys can join the RB boys in building cars that have zero components from the parent factory - and still claim to be Ford and Nissan brigade...

What after production machining needs to be done before it's built.
    Eg. Bored and honed.
    Decked the block
Lime hone cams and crank ect.

That’s just incredible stuff absolutely love it be nice to know how they get the cooling passages in any ideas of the grade of Ali! and weather the billets r a forging ? I guess they must b to get the strength they want brilliant stuff amazing what they can do how many hours in a Barra block? 😎

Depending on the tune, how it's built, coolant, drag vs Street. Too many variables. These are built to be serviceable.

"Billet" means "forged", otherwise it's a casting (ingot).
Forging removes any porosity from the "as poured" ingots ("pigs").
In production, it's not a "billet", until it's been forged.
