Can we cook these tempeh cubes in a pressure cooker (like paneer cubes) or is that not recommended? And, if making them into a curry do we still need to marinate or simply toss them in the cooked masala paste on the stove?
Hello, Yes, you can cook it in the pressure cooker. We have a recipe on our page for a Tempayy pulao that you should try! Please marinate it and let it soak all the flavours for 30 mins, pan toss it for 3-4 mins before you cook it in a curry. (You can also use pre-marinated Tempayy cubes and you can skip the marinating step)
Hi, no, you can't blanch the marinated tempayy because it will remove the marination as well. But you can mince or mash it and cook it in a recipe for a richer flavour and texture.
Hi, the recommended thawing procedure is as follows: If the item was stored in a normal fridge, it is suggested to thaw it for 20-30 minutes. However, if it was stored in the freezer, it is recommended to thaw it for 40-45 minutes. It's important to ensure that the item is fully thawed before using it. If this process is followed the cubes will separate by itself and if not you can also blanch them in water for few minutes.
Hi, here are two quick tips you can use: 1. Blanch the Tempayy cubes for 1-2 mins in hot water. This would remove any and all of the fermented notes. 2. Marinate Tempayy in sauces or spices of your choice (let it soak the flavour) and then pan fry it. Hope this helps! Alternatively, you can also try the natural Tempayy cubes - that'll make it easier. Do let us know how this goes. Thank you

@@HelloTempayy Thanks for the reply. Can you specify the settings of the air fryer for cooking (temperature and duration)? Also, after opening, till how many days can we use it? It is not mentioned on the pack.
@@ashwinikumar2290 Hi, below are the different settings- 160 C for 5 mins (for a crisp outside and a soft inner texture) 180 C for 8 mins (for crispy) 180 C for 10 mins (if you like it super crispy) Add some oil (or sprinkle some water) so it doesn't get super dry After opening the pack you can use it for 2-3 days when kept in the refrigerator. Happy Cooking!
Hey, you can just boil the water and put the Tempayy cubes and let it be in 2-3 minutes and then you can take it out and cook it as you want to as it will absorb all the flavors.
